Princess Anne's heartbreaking final moments with the Queen

- Princess Anne says it has been "an honour and a privilege" to accompany her mother Queen Elizabeth II on her final journey from Balmoral to London.
In her first statement since the death of her mother on Thursday, Princess Anne said she was by her mother's side in the final hours of her life.
"I was fortunate to share the last 24 hours of my dearest mother's life. It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journeys," the statement said.
"Witnessing the love and respect shown by so many on these journeys has been both humbling and uplifting.
"We will all share unique memories. I offer my thanks to each and every one who share our sense of loss."
No Princess has deserved the title Royal more than Anne hardest working devoted to her mother if you want a female role model you couldn't find one better Princess Anne.

Riding behind her Mum’s hearse for 6 hours, accompanying her on the plane, holding vigil with her brothers around her Mum’s coffin. So many public rituals and being so stoic. How draining and excruciating for her with every expression watched and every camera focused….. she’s done a remarkable job and shows that she inherited real grit from her parents….. well done Ann.

Oh how true I'm 54 and dad passed away last year at 86...He had time to prepare the family..... didn't take the sting out of my mum calling with bad news...."your father passed away at 10 o'clock".....My dad was the best Irishman and family man ever

Anne, The Princess Royal has always known "her job" - support the Monarch and "due your duty". In this respect her actions following the death of her mother were nothing less than was expected. Duty in public, cry or mourn in private. Her husband SIr Tim has also been "her rock and stay" during these painful days. They were the ones who were with the queen as she died.
Princess Anne has so much grace and dignity. I admire her for many reasons. Her duty to country, loving daughter and an elegant lady in the days that followed her Mum’s death. She is so much like her Mum.
Anne has kept pretty much out of limelight,but behind the scenes,she has been a constant in her mom 's life.Steadfast and loyal,she has quietly done her duty while looking after her mom. I am sure just losing her dad recently brought home the idea that her mom was also likely to be leaving her soon .
Setting aside all the protocol and circumstance ... the crowds, the media, the castles, the uniformed guards, royal tradition & more ... a picture of a Mother just passed, and her Daughter, and all her Children who mourn the loss that so many billions have done before. Truly, a human story ... God love the Queen.

Princess Anne, the Princess Royal inherited the best of both parents. Stoicism, decades of devotion to duty and commitment to Queen and country, kept to the 'never explain, never compain' policy. She doesn't get enough publicity, credit and column inches, but she just gets on with her endless engagements. No fuss, no trouble. More news on Princess Anne in the future, please.

The Princess Royal has been and continues to be a comfort to her mother. It was a blessing that the Queen had two of her children beside her when she left us to be with Prince Phillip again. Princess Royal is an incredibly resilient lady. Her statement is full of love and gratitude to everyone who came to support her family.

I hope someone takes Anne home soon for a warm bath, tea and her own bed😞 she looks exhausted…enduring her grief in public and her stoicism and dedication to stay by her mothers side for her journey home must be taking its toll…she needs a day to absorb it all and regain her strength💞
I am so proud of the Royal Family. They have done their duty with poise & grace, in the full glare of the world's media and all while they mourn the passing of their much-loved mother. I am sure that the love & respect shown by their people has helped them to carry this heavy burden.

I couldn’t imagine not being to grieve for my loved ones with the whole world constantly watching your every move, analyzing every gesture or praise spoken. To not be able to love openly as one would wish. So sad what the Royals go through. I breaks my heart for them. I wouldn’t want to be royal or a leader of any place where if you sneeze or shed a tear leads to criticism. To every facial expression. Just try to imagine it. And people chose to do this for their people because they do care. To appear strong when you are mentally dealing with the hardest events of life. May God Bless them all.

God bless the RF, give them peace, comfort and strength to endure all the funeral schedules as they lay their Queen, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to rest with her beloved husband and family in Jesus'Name. Losing a parent never goes away . My mom has been gone over 25 years and it is still painful now as it was then . My knowledge that she is in God's hands and I will c her in due time gives me comfort .
They were blessed to have their mother for so many years...I couldn't imagine being in my 70es and still having a parent alive....Health is wealth...May Queen Elizabeth Rest In Peace...She will be sadly missed by her family members that loved and respected her. Regards from Ireland 🇮🇪

I can't express how much I admire and respect Princess Anne 💖. Her infinite love for her mother showed through the last years of her life but never more so than after Prince Philips death and then the Queens passing.

Find myself crying watching this. I can feel princess Anne's pain. It's clearly etched on her face, she's heartbroken. An amazing and extraordinary lady, perfect role model and followed her beloved mother's exemplary ways and devotion. Loss of parents or either parent signify great grief that cannot be described. Princess Anne is really devastated by her mother’s passing .im not saying the rest of sibling aren’t but Anne is heartbroken and Charles he has to take all the weight if the world in his shoulders and not get much time to grieve it’s a very sad time for royals and something I or we will never see again a monarch if 70 yrs
