For the record I was going to do every single route in the game anyway. Perhaps my game glitched on me? Everything up until step 5 happened, My first play through was the new chaos route and I did every single quest but mastama did not have a quest marker above his head after turning in the first quest. I left and reloaded the area and he still didn't have a quest marker, double checked online to see if maybe I was missing a quest for him but no I got each quest done. So I beat the game and did NG+ I went ahead and did a speed playthrough to get the true neutral ending, made the choice for the requirement, but for some reason I decided to go back to the first playthrough before beating this new game mode, and the guy had the quest marker above his head. Maybe it's a glitch, maybe this quest has a time limit before It becomes available to do?
I can vouch with the other guy who commented, played Canon of Vengeance for my 1st playthrough of this version of the game, went to mastama right before Lucifer boss, did serpent quest, came back to him, he un-salted the fairy village, but he DID NOT have another quest when I left and came back.
I don’t think it’s a glitch. The quest giver seems to know that you have beaten the final boss once in another universe or something. I think he checks if you have finished the game at least once in any save file.
Thank you for this video. One site mentioned having to beat the game 3 times to unlock Godborn & I thought to myself, that is a lot of effort to unlock a super hard mode. Nice to know that it is alot easier than expected.

01:40 I can't confirm this to be true. There is at least 1 more condition. On my first playthrough I defeated Samael, but Mastema didn't give me the "Great Adversary" quest, he just remained at this location without anything new 02:30.
Story wise, the Secret Boss is triggered by beating the final boss of the Vengeance path, since Mastema mentioned that a different MC beat him. He then uses himself, Lucifers and Samaels Essence to become the secret boss.
I know how it's supposed to work story-wise, but that isn't how it worked for me. On my first playthrough without having completed the game I got the quest. As for those who need to have beaten a final boss, both CoC or CoV work, not just CoV, and you can simply load your save afterwards to do it so no NG+ is required if you started on CoV.

@@RozalinGaming Gotcha, I only had it for me because I went and fought Samael after entering the Empyrean and saw no other quest upon completion. I did see it after I beat the game however.
What would you all say is the "best" way to experience this game? 1. Cannon of Creation playthrough 2. Cannon of Vengeance playthrough NG+ and get all the missing demons/level up and grind a bit 3. God Born Mode ??
I have godborn unlocked, but what i want to know is how to fuse the demon i have to beat to unlock godborn mode. He's not showing up on my fusion list yet and i can't find any information anywhere online about the demons needed to fuse him.
I have some builds from the original version that still work, though the fusion paths shown may not due to newly added demons. New build videos will be coming as well.
@RozalinGaming thanks, yeah I was looking, your channel is great, as I'm still a noob at using the demon fusion, your videos are really well informed and so much easier to use. It would be great for more builds or even a possible demon fusion calculator explained. Keep up the work because your content is really good
Masakado: You need to have Yoshitsune on your team or demon stock, he will give you a quest (this quest is only available in CoC, since it happens in Chyoda, an area where you don't go in CoV), After that complete the quest "trial of the seven stars" then you will be able to do the Quest "Guardian of Tokyo" which is given by Masakado himself, follow the quest normally, but you need to play CoV to complete this quest. In CoV you need to get an item, I think in the third area, Shinjuku (I don't remember exactly which part, you will have a cutscene with Arahabaki so it's easy to identify) You will be able to face Superboss Masakado once you have the item and met the other requirements it asks for, after defeating him he becomes available for fusion.
@@johnny8363 hell yea thank you so much! he was the one I was most confused about. my first playthrough is CoV and I did find his sword, so I'll be fighting him in CoC route right?
It's possible; others in the comments are saying you do but I didn't. To be safe you could beat CoV and make your clear file and then load up a file before the final boss and it should be there.
I actually dropped my CoV run because I thought I have to get the true ending in CoC first... rip.. but well, I want all achievements anyway so it's fine
Do you have a Shiva boss fight guide for a magic build? I'm only on Normal but can't seem to beat him. I didn't want to use any cheese strats I've seen, but now I'm thinking it's the only way to do it 😅
Cheese strats aren't needed for Shiva as he's intended to be the entry-level super boss. One strat you can use is to ST him down, ignoring his adds except Ananta who will heal him. Party setup would MC on a ST Almighty build, support w/buffs and debuffs, healer, dark user to kill Ananta. Another strat is to use MC magic build using Moonlight Frost to just kill everything. Party setup is the same as ST MC except for MC's build.
Idk if I did something wrong I reached the Empyrean, and did the Serpent King side quest. However, the Adversary side quest doesn’t appear. He’s there but no side quest option, just a cloud bubble and he says he can’t wait to see how my journey ends
Did you beat the final boss? For me, the quest unlocked after I beat the boss. What I did was beat the final story boss, then saved the clear data on a separate file, after this I loaded my old file right before fighting him. Go back to Mastema and he should have a quest and mention you beating the final story boss and so.
@@crimsonite9729 Yeah, that's what I did. Save the game after beating it on a seperate file, and load up the old file before fighting the final boss if that's what you mean.
You saying "...Godborn on Hard difficulty" tells me that the difficulty can still be freely chosen in a Godborn NG+, rather than being locked to Hard (or its own unique difficulty). Is this true? If so, I have a question about Life Drain: Is its damage (and thus self-healing) still capped at the target’s maximum HP like in the original SMTV? And do Almighty potential, Almighty Pleroma passives, Tarukaja, Rakunda, Concentrate, Omagatoki: Critical, Omagatoki: Savage, and Omagatoki: Adversity still boost its power? Heck, Example: Slime has 47 max HP in the original version, and Life Drain will never deal more than 47 damage to it; not even when it's capable of dealing 8,000+ damage unbuffed on Safety Difficulty. This even applies to bosses, which is how I found out that a certain boss required for TNE has 65,535 HP. Thus, if the conditions are optimal, my idea is to attempt to find out how much HP the Godborn enemies have, and record my findings...if the dataminers haven't already beaten me to it and posted their findings online...
Godborn is technically just a NG+ mode with enemies scaled to 150, so just like any other NG+ you can choose to play on easier difficulties if you want. As for your question about Drain Life/Energy Drain, I don't know about Omagatoki: Adversity or Concentrate, but the rest do increase its damage.
Just finished the game, completed the quest that had us fight Samael from Mastama and defeated "Extremely Powerful" Lucifer. The second quest from Mastama never popped up for me and I made doubly sure all objectives were complete in each area before ending the run. There's definitely another trigger that needs to be met in order to unlock CoV's superboss.

I can say with 100% certainty it can be done on a first playthrough (new info: though you may need to reload your save after beating the game). But when I tested it I had not completed the game at all on any playthrough and got the quest.
Hey guys, so I killed samael but the second quest from Mastema still isn’t appearing? Any idea as to why? I’m on normal difficulty, and just beat mastema/Tiamat story-wise... is really appreciate any help or guidance! Thank you!
I posted this in the pinned comment, but many people need to first need to complete a CoV run and make a clear game file, then reload their save near the final boss for the quest to spawn.
Can you make a video on how to unlock lucifer? Thank you man

That does not seem to be everything that is required. I am currently on the second floor of the empyrean, I have finished all the side quests except for some 99 bosses, and that angel does not appear in Shinjuku. Edit: I can confirm, you need to beat the final, and then reload a save you did before beating it. At that point the quest appears.
So, i recently beat CoV for the first time, but didn't fight the superboss cuz I thought I had to get the true neutral ending for CoC, but i still have my old save file right before the final boss in CoV. Unfortunately, I'm pretty close to getting true neutral in my second playthrough My question is, if I go fight the superboss in my old CoV file, will the game allow me to run Godborne after I beat my current NG+ run on CoC or would it be better to just bite the bullet and wait on a subsequent NG+ to fight Satan? I'm sorry if this sounds confusing lol
@RozalinGaming ok thanks, I'll try experimenting this week to see if it works or not. I'm not bummed if it means I gotta do another CoV playthrough, because I'm trying to get every ending anyways
Thank you so much. Maybe Spoiler: I have a another question. What have i to do to unlock The Patch With Yoko at the end with The new super Boss Fight? And how i unlock Lucifer for Fusion?
For the first question, you need to be chaos alignment on CoV -- this means making choices that align with chaos and/or Yoko. For the second question, he is a Godborn-only fusion; though I'm not sure if it's simply Godborn or if you also need have completed a CoC True Neutral Ending first.
Wait a min, I have two questions about Godborn mode. So, if it's a NG+ mode, does it lock you in hard difficulty or not ? Becaus being able to buy incenses is incredible but I doubt I'll be able to beat the whole game in hard for my second run. When you finish a godborn mode, does your stuff CAN carry over on next NG+ or is it like P3P and P3R where beating the game in maximum difficulty prevents you from keeping stuff in ng+ ?
Only got the samael quest, is that normal ? (I'm on CoV chaos ending) EDIT : have to beat the final boss once at least, then to load a save file before beating the final boss and then you can do the fight that unlock godborn.
According to his replies, what you need to do is beat the final boss, make a cleared save file, and then you can approach Mastema on a separate save file before the final battle. He should have the quest then.
I updated the pinned comment about it -- for some people, you may need to first complete a CoV run and then make a clear file, and then reload before the final boss and the quest will appear.
Try finishing the game and creating a clear file, and then reload a file before beating the game and check if he has the quest -- that has been working for others in which the quest wasn't spawning.
did chaos cov ending gonna try beat superbosses on normal on ng most likely beat them on easy-safety, beaten game hard but superbosses oh boy its super hard even on normal,
@@leoneabbacchio5398But you will kinda need to buy Moral Transcendence right away to survive Godborn but it costs 999 glory so the blue mitama dlc is really recommended
@RozalinGaming I beat Shiva, and I think that's how I unlocked it. But then again, I went and completed the game, saved it in slot two, and came back to see that he had a quest for me.
I have one question, if I start a NG+ will Demi-Fiend still be in my party ? I just unlocked him and would like to play the whole story with him, but because he's a guest character, I fear I won't be able to use him
If you want efficeintcy CoV beat everything including this super boss NG+ CoC play until before choosing ending save then do all requirement for true neutral choose side beat final boss until get the achievement then reload 3 time for all ending don't forget the super boss from CoC side you need yoshitsune in your party for it to trigger. Then NG+ again in CoV and do other ending. Difficulty don't matter you can even do it all on safety.
Try completing the CoV run first and making a clear save file and then reload your save prior to finishing the game and it should be there. I updated my pinned comment to account for this as it has worked for others.
Yo, i know this has nothing to do with the vid . But i legit have no idea how to reach Garuda in Ueno . Does anyone have like a vid or simple directions ?
@@unknown97428 For CoC, you just choose that route at the end of the game when given the option to choose your ending; for CoV it's more complicated as you need to constantly be choose dialogue options that align with chaos throughout the playthrough.
@@unknown97428 generally the chaos option on CoV will be the bottom option during story choice and/or whatever aligns with Yoko's world views. The quests that want to kill a specific demon can also give you points, such as siding with Leanen Sidhe and Lilim in their quests.
I'm not having that much of a hardtime on normal, you know first time playing SMT, and Finn just one shots every party member but hey I won...Im not doing this.
All I can say is that _maybe_ the quest giver is available in Shinjuku since that appears to be the third area instead of Chiyoda? If the quest (and the subsequent one) was unavailable in CoV, then I would think that the chest and that one Miman would at least be moved...

@@RozalinGaming Gotcha, I only had it for me because I went and fought Samael after entering the Empyrean and saw no other quest upon completion. I did see it after I beat the game however.
i clicked for jozuma joryu
Is that mothereffing RGG Studios reference!?! (Also JoJo reference obviously)
@@phillemon7664 it's a Yakuza series reference.
THANKS FOR NOT SPOILING THE ENEMY !!
YEAH SAMAEL IS BACK
What would you all say is the "best" way to experience this game?
1. Cannon of Creation playthrough
2. Cannon of Vengeance playthrough NG+ and get all the missing demons/level up and grind a bit
3. God Born Mode
??
I have godborn unlocked, but what i want to know is how to fuse the demon i have to beat to unlock godborn mode. He's not showing up on my fusion list yet and i can't find any information anywhere online about the demons needed to fuse him.
He's a Ng+ fusion demon,(spoiler if u haven't beaten the game yet) u will need Lucifer, mastema, & samael
@@thedarkincarnate Cool thanks for the info
Man, I stumbled upon this chanell due to SMT V Vengeance, I was wondering if you would make OP builds for demons like Lilith for Vengeance?
I have some builds from the original version that still work, though the fusion paths shown may not due to newly added demons. New build videos will be coming as well.
@RozalinGaming thanks, yeah I was looking, your channel is great, as I'm still a noob at using the demon fusion, your videos are really well informed and so much easier to use. It would be great for more builds or even a possible demon fusion calculator explained. Keep up the work because your content is really good
thank you so much! is there any chance you could make guides for how to unlock special demons like Masakado and others?
Masakado:
You need to have Yoshitsune on your team or demon stock, he will give you a quest (this quest is only available in CoC, since it happens in Chyoda, an area where you don't go in CoV), After that complete the quest "trial of the seven stars" then you will be able to do the Quest "Guardian of Tokyo" which is given by Masakado himself, follow the quest normally, but you need to play CoV to complete this quest.
In CoV you need to get an item, I think in the third area, Shinjuku (I don't remember exactly which part, you will have a cutscene with Arahabaki so it's easy to identify)
You will be able to face Superboss Masakado once you have the item and met the other requirements it asks for, after defeating him he becomes available for fusion.
@@johnny8363 hell yea thank you so much! he was the one I was most confused about. my first playthrough is CoV and I did find his sword, so I'll be fighting him in CoC route right?
I’m right before the final boss at the empyrean throne and Mastema isn’t giving out the quest. Anything I need to do?
Try completing the game and making a clear file, and then loading your save just before the final boss.
Best serpent king quest but the next quest hasn’t shown up. Do I need to beat the final boss first?
It's possible; others in the comments are saying you do but I didn't. To be safe you could beat CoV and make your clear file and then load up a file before the final boss and it should be there.
Same happened to me. Finally got to that part and didn't show up. Weird. Might be tied to a side quest I pasted. @@RozalinGaming
I actually dropped my CoV run because I thought I have to get the true ending in CoC first... rip.. but well, I want all achievements anyway so it's fine
Thank you I appreciate this
Do you have a Shiva boss fight guide for a magic build?
Idk if I did something wrong
I reached the Empyrean, and did the Serpent King side quest.
@@Nothing-fc2so oooh thanks I’ll check it out after I do so
Should I make separate save files just in case?
Heck,
Example: Slime has 47 max HP in the original version, and Life Drain will never deal more than 47 damage to it; not even when it's capable of dealing 8,000+ damage unbuffed on Safety Difficulty.
Thank you so much
Just finished the game, completed the quest that had us fight Samael from Mastama and defeated "Extremely Powerful" Lucifer.
The second quest from Mastama never popped up for me and I made doubly sure all objectives were complete in each area before ending the run. There's definitely another trigger that needs to be met in order to unlock CoV's superboss.
Apparently you need a clear save file. You don't need to load it, just have it.
@@GatAnarquista You do not. I made sure I had no clear file on my system when I did did this, and on the file I did it on I hadn't finished many of the side quests.
@@RozalinGaming Had you already finished the game tho? Even if you didn't have a clear save file.
@@GatAnarquista I had not. I purposely deleted all of my save date except a file that had not beaten the game to test. But I did update the pinned comment saying it may be needed just in case.
@@RozalinGaming I see. Don't take this the wrong way btw. Not trying to say you're wrong or anything, just trying to figure out why it seems so inconsistent.
yeah so that doesnt happen, my first playthough i did every side quest and after i beat samel mastema just stands there, there is no second quest. it has to be done on a subsequent playthrough
Damnit, I played coc for the millionth time for no reason lol
Thanks!
Some people need to finish CoV first and then reload their save after making a clear save -- I made an update in the pinned comment about this.
So, i recently beat CoV for the first time, but didn't fight the superboss cuz I thought I had to get the true neutral ending for CoC, but i still have my old save file right before the final boss in CoV. Unfortunately, I'm pretty close to getting true neutral in my second playthrough
My question is, if I go fight the superboss in my old CoV file, will the game allow me to run Godborne after I beat my current NG+ run on CoC or would it be better to just bite the bullet and wait on a subsequent NG+ to fight Satan? I'm sorry if this sounds confusing lol
Honestly, I'm not sure on that one. My guess is you would need to be on the same clear file, but that may not be the case.
@RozalinGaming ok thanks, I'll try experimenting this week to see if it works or not. I'm not bummed if it means I gotta do another CoV playthrough, because I'm trying to get every ending anyways
Thank you so much.
Maybe Spoiler:
I have a another question. What have i to do to unlock The Patch With Yoko at the end with The new super Boss Fight? And how i unlock Lucifer for Fusion?
For the first question, you need to be chaos alignment on CoV -- this means making choices that align with chaos and/or Yoko. For the second question, he is a Godborn-only fusion; though I'm not sure if it's simply Godborn or if you also need have completed a CoC True Neutral Ending first.
you are a godsend
im on CoC route (cuz i never played the base game). am i basically locked out of Godborn mode unless i start in CoV?
Yeah, you can only fight the boss for Godborn mode on CoV -- in SMT5V, CoC and CoV each have their own new super boss.
Godborn is a NG+ mode just like Newborn or Reborn; it has special features to it but it functions just like any other NG+ playthrough outside of that.
@@RozalinGaming Alright, thx !
Only got the samael quest, is that normal ? (I'm on CoV chaos ending)
EDIT : have to beat the final boss once at least, then to load a save file before beating the final boss and then you can do the fight that unlock godborn.
I didn't get the second quest from mastema, I was locked in on the ending if that matters
According to his replies, what you need to do is beat the final boss, make a cleared save file, and then you can approach Mastema on a separate save file before the final battle. He should have the quest then.
I unlock this at pure accident, and I never even beat the original game just canon of vengeance.
I beat the serpant king quest but the great evil quest did not proc
Can you please make a balm famring video if possible please
wierd, I did the "serpent king" quest but the "great adversary" didnt appear
I updated the pinned comment about it -- for some people, you may need to first complete a CoV run and then make a clear file, and then reload before the final boss and the quest will appear.
I think there is another condition. I beat samiel the snake dude but mastima didn't have another quest available.
Try finishing the game and creating a clear file, and then reload a file before beating the game and check if he has the quest -- that has been working for others in which the quest wasn't spawning.
I didn't get the second quest on my run, only the first one
did chaos cov ending gonna try beat superbosses on normal on ng most likely beat them on easy-safety,
beaten game hard but superbosses oh boy its super hard even on normal,
do you have to buy the moral transcendence miracle to get access to godborn, or do you automatically get access to it after defeating the boss?
Moral Transcendence is only for increasing the level cap to 150.
@@RozalinGaming cool, thanks for the clarification
@@leoneabbacchio5398But you will kinda need to buy Moral Transcendence right away to survive Godborn but it costs 999 glory so the blue mitama dlc is really recommended

I’ve finished the quest for mastema involving samael but once i turn it in mastema doesn’t offer me anymore quests? What am I missing?
Try clearing your CoV run first and making a clear file, then load up a save just before the final boss and check again and it should be there.
The great adversary isn't showing up for me. Did I do something wrong? Because I already beat the 1st quest
Try finishing your CoV run first and creating a clear file, and then reloading your save before the final boss; that has worked for others.
@RozalinGaming I beat Shiva, and I think that's how I unlocked it. But then again, I went and completed the game, saved it in slot two, and came back to see that he had a quest for me.
I have one question, if I start a NG+ will Demi-Fiend still be in my party ? I just unlocked him and would like to play the whole story with him, but because he's a guest character, I fear I won't be able to use him
I can't say for sure since I never chose to put him in my party but my guess is no.
Is it possible to get this quest in normal ng?
I wish I could be on CoC and be on Godborne, sometimes I don't want to be on CoV
Once you unlock it you can. Godborn is just a NG+ mode and is applicable to both CoC and CoV.
@@RozalinGaming Best news I've heard all day
Can I unlock it with the easiest difficulty? So, I can go to the NG+ hard mode faster.
can you unlock godborn on any difficulty? Is the only requirement beating the new boss?
U can unlock it on any difficulty, & yes, the superboss is the main requirement (other than defeating the final boss again) to unlock godborn

Where do i find the dlc side quests?
Nvm i figured it out. If you're wondering, talk to the researchers in the tokyo diet building
Whats the best route if i want to 100% the game?
If you want efficeintcy
CoV beat everything including this super boss
NG+ CoC play until before choosing ending save then do all requirement for true neutral choose side beat final boss until get the achievement then reload 3 time for all ending don't forget the super boss from CoC side you need yoshitsune in your party for it to trigger.
Then NG+ again in CoV and do other ending.
Difficulty don't matter you can even do it all on safety.
what to I do if I beat the serpent king quest and he only has a chat bubble and not another quest for me?
