I love how in his fight, he even went in with magic build stats on his mc and still won in the end.
Yeah... I even said to chat right before that I still needed to change my stats and then totally forgot like an idiot, LOL.
i used heavenly ikuyumi and megidolaon as my attacks in the fight. megidolaon is surprisingly decent for taking out the goons

While my nahobino was a tank/physical build, your guide helped me a ton with satan's strategy and the builds for my masakado,beelzebub and Konohana Sakuya

In my case I have Demi-fiend as guest character in my active party and his Gaia Rage is WOW.
As someone who has 100% this game uhh twice over 11 playthrus i think i can say for certain

great work on these videos! I just subbed but did you put out a Demi-fiend guide back when the game first came out? I surprisingly never fought him in the original and now have been struggling with the insta kill timing in Vengeance 😅
I was already running the same team as you but getting wrecked without using any tsukuyomi skills, luminescent mirage and lunation flux clutched out the win for me, thanks! thought I should also point out that letting him consume the demons that give him freikugel EX and big bang also should be avoided because it can deal an overwhelming amount of damage
Freikugel EX is easily handled by your MC with Luminescent Mirage and Fierce Roar, and Big Bang is handled by pumping your demon's Vitality to around 120.
@@RozalinGaming I didn't wanna use a slot for fierce roar but yea that makes sense and I think my demons only had around 100 vit, so they got their enduring soul procced when he casted it haha

Dang... I've been trying to beat this boss for a few hours now, having to change my Nahobino from Murakumo to Paraselene Blur. I still don't have Beelzebub, I'm missing one of the monsters for fusion and I haven't done the necessary quest yet.
But it's a really nice challenge.
that spreadsheet and nahobino build actually helped me defeat satan. It took me 2+ hrs to beat him tho, since i messed up in my first attempt and got one shot by megido ark at the very end when satan's hp was nearly low
What demon would be reccomended as replacement for Masakado? Would Metatron be good?

It's another super boss so I feel like it's fair
He can always crit, deal high damage with gaea rage, and can cut off second turn of satan with chaotic will.
It's both a support and a damage dealer so you'll have to make up for it by giving damaging skills to beelzebub and sakuya tho
Wait, you can get Masakado in CoC? If so, then that's sweet for me since my first and current playthrough is a CoC run.
You can only get him on coc yes, he is also a new superboss that can be made stronger by getting an item in a previous cov playthrough.
I used Odin that was stacked with some strength incense. Less damage, but it works.
I did coc but didnt get masakado and is now on cov. I’m just too lazy to build team but wanna try so I went with yoko sakuya mc and agrat 😅 worked out find. Beat him first try.

by chance you dont have Masakado since i decided to do COV as my 1st playthrough (iv watched the COC when it came out on the switch years ago), and suggestion that can replace him? also since its my 1st play through i am doing it normal but my stats are way lower than urs ( nahobino doesnt even have 90 vit lolz). think i should try or just do other routes and farm more balms?
If you're up for it, I highly suggest Demi-fiend. His chaotic will + luminescent mirage basically makes it satan and his team never get a turn
One option could be agrat with a crit build but otherwise your best bets are probably like shiva or a high power phys demon
Zeus can do it in a pinch though he lacks a real AoE option. The Nahobino is on support duty for this fight so his offense doesn't need to be insane(and there's diminishing returns after level +10 so 260 strength is extremely excessive)

Where do i get the essences for intercalation and lunation flux?? Ive looked it up before but didnt get any clear answers 😭
On CoV, talk to the researcher lady at the bottom of the stairs in the diet building that asked you to come back later after you first talked to her after getting your new form; she will give you the essences.
@RozalinGaming thank you so much!!! Time to try for the slog of beating Satan lol, I couldn't get past demi fiend no matter how many times I tried, ended up using safety for him which didn't feel good.. hoping I can squeeze out for Satan 😭
Shiva was the only one I got normally, his fight was super enjoyable, went back to the save several times to beat him again and again just to hear his theme, but these two are so much harder 😭

I was hoping to have godborne be my second run through with coc, and my first run is thru vengance, so I don't have masokado at the moment.. Are there any suitable options to replace him with for damage? Admittedly I have Agrat in his place with this, although her attack may not be up to par with how it scatters across, unless maybe I give her fruekigal or something, a stronger one hit almighty, she's been built with almighty and glees. Do you think it'll do, or should I find a replacement, or need me a masokado 😭
@@butterflysfly6734 Arioch can do comparable damage to Masakado if you abuse his innate skill. It will be a bit slower since you need to build Arioch as physical though.

I'm not sure if you have a video with a build for him up, any advice to what skills In particular i should give him? Phys pleromas and whatnot? I may give agrat I shot once or twice with fruekigal and see if it's any good with the two glees and her innate skill, hoping it's critical rate is pretty high and damage is decent, but if not I'll definitely give arioch a try 😭
Edit: I just read his innate skill! Soo, I've just got to kill everyone I'm my stock, so that he's stronger lol, and I just tried agrats fruekigal and it does barely any damage at all surprisingly, only did like a little over 100 and didn't crit.. so it definitely seems like I'm going for aroch build 😭 would definitely love some tips to take advantage of with his skills
I know you said Satan was supposed to use Megido Ark every second turn but for me, he just spsmmed it every single turn and i don't understand why.
If he's spamming Megido Ark then you aren't causing him to lose a press-turn each turn. As stated, his first action each turn will be Megidolaon but his second can be any of his other skills, include Megido Ark; however, if you cause him to lose a press-turn (i.e. from dodging it with Luminescent Mirage) then he won't have his second action and therefore no chance to use Megido Ark outside of the initial one at the beginning of the fight.
@@RozalinGaming I understand that, but that's not what happened with me. While his opening turn went the same as always, summoning allies and then megido ark, Once it was his turn again, both his press turns were megido ark. And same with his next turn. That's what I meant by spamming. I'm not really sure what's going on. Either I misunderstood something in your guide or maybe there's a rule I'm breaking that's causing him to do that?
@@sutora9309 You must have misunderstood something; so long as you use Luminescent Mirage every turn, Satan will not cast Megido Ark outside of the first turn. I've also never seen or heard of him using Megido Ark more than once per turn.

My team was almost the same for this. I didn't have masakado, though, so I used Odin with gungnir and yabusame shot.
Arioch with Figment Slash + dead demons in the stock is a good alternative to Masakado
Arioch can be a good replacement for sure. My only issue with Figment Slash is that against same-level enemies, even with both Beast Eye and Dragon Eye you still don't have a 100% chance to hit, and therefore need to bring a demon with Helmsman.
Im on my first run on vengeance so I don't have access to masakado, which other demon could I use instead of him ??
Maybe Demi fiend although he would be a poor replacement
Is it possible as first superboss (Shiva aside) and no Sakuya on hard? Who would you recommend then for healing, buffing, attacking? Last seems to be Arioch, but then there's still the incompatibility between Beelzebub and a female healer. Would the dragon cut it as healer? Or better Idun plus another buffer (not Cleopatra sadly)?
Masakado can be such a miss for me sometimes even with this build here. Had like 3 straight attacks from him not crit

Nope, only skills that cause status ailments.

Then you'll need to use a different healer and will need to be more conservative on MP usage. Demeter is a good choice, though she will want quite a few vitality incenses.
Build another healer with luster candy effect and dekunda
Tao is a good one for example if you have access to her still
a different healer should do the trick but preferrably one that's not femme/lady/megami because of beelzebub's innate, that lowers your options quite a bit unfortunately, Tao is good though
I need a Compendium guide because i’m missing demons that i don’t really get how to acquire demons like satan masakado some demon herald at lvl 53 one at lvl 83 its the hardest one i’ve ever had to complete compared to persona games i’ve played through
Satan requires that you defeat him.
Lucifer (required for Satan fusion) requires starting Godborn.
Masakado requires defeating him -- long quest chain on CoC starting by talking to Yoshitsune in your demon haunt.
Armaiti (53 Herald) requires you to complete the quest "Devotion to Order" on CoV.
Maria (possible the level 83 you need) requires you to be on Law route for either story path and then complete her quest that starts in the Empyrean; you also need item from Sophia for 75%+ compendium completion.
There are also 3 demons -- Hare of Inaba, Amabie, and Kinmamon that can only be first fused through a fusion accident.
In general, SMT 5's compendium boils down to complete all side-quests and basically just do everything to complete.
What if I come to this fight with only Nahobino since Megido Ark damage depends on the number of foes?
What other demon I could use instead of Masakado since this is my first run on Vengeance? Or should I start NG+, get Masakado on the Creation path and then comeback to Vengeance path?
Physical Arioch with a full stock of dead demons to leverage his innate skill would be a good replacement.
Sorry for the dumb question, but how can paraselene blur be used as the only damage on the build against enemies that null or absorb light? I'm trying to use a similar build to yours
If you let him absorb an enemy that nulls light then you just don't attack with your main character. In my explanation for the MC's build, I mention using Evergreen Dance on those turns as an option; in some cases you just don't attack at all and the MC falls into a full dodge-tank/support role. The main damage dealer in this party setup isn't the MC, it's Masakado, or whoever else you choose to use. You should look at Paraselene Blur in this party as something you use when you can, but not something you always try to use as it's lower on the priority of things to be doing.

I dont have Masakado, and my damage dealers are weak, whats the way to go about it? I am on my first pkaythrough.
If you only want to beat him then you can tune your difficulty down or use the cheese strat with Arioch. But if you want to fight him while not abusing innate skills or other cheese strats, then you can considered to do Masakado first at creation or you can replace him with Demifiend but, i'am sure as long as you know Satan pattern and magatsuhi plunder trick then i'am sure you can beat him without Masakado.

I forgot to mention this but, Satan can be considered as one of the hardest Superboss in the game so grinding or doing multiple playthrough before defeating him is a normal thing to do
could you make a guide on demi fiend and masakado? i wanna beat them on hard without having to play through ng+
You basically can't face Masakado without being on NG+ since the key item is on CoV.
@@johnny8363 thats not true. you can face him not being on NG+ the key item just unlocks an harder version of the fight.

How u get all the incense to up your stats so high?
As stated in the video, the only incenses I used were for vitality and MP on Masakado, so I didn't use many at all. As for where I got them, I got them by simply playing the game -- opening all treasure, completing side-quests, etc.
i give up lmao if demon essences were unlimited i would do it, but after beating the game 7 times already i had enough
Demon essences are unlimited when a demon learns their final skill they have a chance to give you their essence. So fuse the demon whoese essences you want, save your game, give them grimores till they learn their last skill, and then reload until they hand over their essence.

I don’t recognize half the stuff on your main character.
Most of the skills are for the dodge tank build which is CoV-only; you are able to start getting the essences that have them after the 3rd major area is complete.
@@RozalinGaming I’ll keep an eye out then, right now I have a dodge passive that counters with a piercing physical.

How do you get Luminescent Mirage?
Talk to the researcher lady who you need to talk to for the DLC quests after you get the MC's new form. She'll give you up to 3 new essences based on story progress.
