i’m really hoping so. i would like nintendo and pokémon (gamefreak) to start recognizing that Gen Z, Millennials, and a small amount of Gen X have a kink for nostalgia, sales would skyrocket if they released older and classic remasters. Nintendo DS was so popular, and it didn’t matter if you were a boy or girl, everyone loved them. personally, i think if they don’t go in this direction, they are fucking themselves. it’s very possible because they would make an overwhelming amount of money, and i would like to think they know that already.
yeah, i would have thought with the closure of the 3DS eShop closing down they would have just transitioned these titles to Switch by now, very strange they haven’t! especially considering that (to your point) you have generations of people that have dee nostalgia for these titles but you also have newer players who started their journey into Pokemon with Sword and Shield!
I don't expect it to have two screens. I don't expect it to fold. Those two features will increase the cost of the console. As we all know, Nintendo aims at operating in this sweet spot of being inexpensive and good. I think it's going to be extremely similar to the switch 1. With that being the case, they really need to focus on marketing it as not just a switch "pro"
as much as i WISH it had the clamshell design, i dont' think it will either - but i do think they can still implement a dual screen functionality similar to the Wii U that would allow these games to be accessed on the next console.
I was not fan of how nintendo ended 3DS for switch. 3DS was better than switch. the size was perfect for handheld (switch is too big). it had more feature like mp3 player. It had NDS integration. I'm not fan of subscription model for virtual consoles. but I discovered about modding 3ds trend in 2023 or 2024. so I'm fine with it.
yeah, i never got in on the 3DS but i wish i had! seemed the perfect portable pocket device to game with - these days i’m not out and about like i used to be so i’m very happy with my switch but very much want access to the classic portable library.
The 3DS's resolution was HORRIBLE though. And it was the WORST screen to play DS games on because of the irregular pixel shape to account for the 3D screen. Even on the 2DS models, they used this same screen, so all games ultimately come out blurry and weirdly scaled. Don't get me wrong, I love my 2 3DS's and my first 3DS that I lost -- but the DSi XL was the best console in the DS line up for screen quality and playing DS games as an adult. I am so glad I went back and bought a DSi to mod and play all the OG Pokémon games on. The Switch is a much more well-rounded system. Yes, it's bigger, but the screen alone (especially in my OLED model) far surpasses anything the 3DS could ever do.
@@A-ID-A-M of course because 3DS is dedicated handheld unlike switch. but then switch is handheld + console. so the spec is still weaker than PS4. If switch was dedicated console like Wii or Gamecube. it's easy to make the spec better than current switch.
@@UpstairsDownstairsGameTalk I think it's good way to play touch screen games. tbh pokemon ruby saphire remake and xy, sun and moon were only 3ds games I've played at the time but I still like playing NDS games on 3DS

Switch 2
S2
2S
2 Screens
This is my hope and cope 🙏 I miss 2 screen gaming so much. The DS and Wii U were ahead of their time.
SAME. ITS WHAT I WANT.
