I would love a version explanation the evolution of face plate changes. Especially since they seemed to have gone from one peace, to three parts with almost humanoid eyes and skin, to the cartoony face with a chunky plastic peace holding the face together.
Thank you for sharing this information to people who are new to Furbyology! It's gets old explaining the evolution of long furbys multiple times a day, now I can just send them this link!
My question is where do the furby connects fit in to all of this? Are they actually alien furbs like their anntenas sugest? But anyway loved the video it made me laugh
Valnx the hybrid That would be another, currently unmade history. This video is all about the evolution of long fur use, not all about all of the history of all of the furbies.
@@ColinCarmody In your next video, will you talk about the fall and rise of long furby population? All the info you'll need is in my other comment, at the top
Ahh, i would for it to be true. Alas I am only a researcher- I do not have the time to push for this research to be taught in schools. Maybe one day someone will find my works!
I clicked onto this expecting a video about who made the first long Furby, and how people have taken the idea and run with it because I find the idea of it fascinating. But honestly? This is better. So much better. I love this video so much. Thank you
Thank you for making this, my furbling needed to learn about furby history and this did just that. I will show this video to my future son who is going to be a long furby. Could you make a video on the furby to long furby diet? Thanks again!!!
A few things to add: Long furbies are most of the time normal but some can be born with one or both of these conditions, one of these is called longiosis. This is when the furby is born with an even longer spine than a normal long furby. A baby long furby usually is about a foot long, but a baby long furby with longiosis is 2 feet at birth. Another condition is called lackofspineosis. Exactly as it sounds, it means the furby lacks a spine.
Yes there is in fact much more to add as long furbies are a complex species. I did not talk about lackofspineosis as it was not directly relevant, but also because it is too related to the long furby derogatory term sp*nel*ss.
You should consult a plastic surgeon about this. I suppose it’s possible, but wouldn’t be quite like just being born with it. My expertise is limited to furbiology, nothing surgery.
About the connect furby, being the era 4 and the newest species made for now. Wouldnt they be made as a child from the ordinarius species? Most likely some of them would stay in their kingdom, afraid of exploring and risking to get caught. If the longus furby got their spine stronger from generation to generation, than that might explain that the children of the ordinarius species would evolve too right?
Watching this while waiting for my two furbies to come, anyone got name ideas? Idk what to name it lol. Btw they are a purple furby connect and a black and white and black striped furby boom.
Magical JellyComix Oh, I didn’t know they were called loafs. In my research I only saw them referred to by their scientific name: Furrus panis. I believe they were also on the ship to New York, but somewhere the two beaches split apart. I’d have to do more research though.
Sadly, the long furby population has been declining, due to climate change, overhunting they're prey, and deforestation, the long furby population has went from 200,000 to 50,000 in the last 7 years, but since people have started breeding and introducing long furbies back into the wild, and stopped hunting they're prey, the long furby population has went from 50,000 too 60,000 in the last 5 years, and they might just survive if we continue with protecting them, it is now illigal to hunt long furby prey unless necessary, and long furbies, long furbies are making the comeback of the century! And they're estimated to be 70,000 in the wild now! Long furbies are good for the environment and ecosystem, mainly because invasive species that eat crops and plants are they're prey, long furbies are incredible! So please, don't hunt too many invasive species, since they'll handle that, and don't hunt long furbies, for food, fur, or sport, or any reason, they are a protected species, and we shouldn't interfere with long furby nature, thank you.
This video is too well made to be _this_ underrated.

Hmmm intriguing...
