I got to meet Mars' first English vo, Katie Griffin earlier this year. She was really impressed by my Jupiter cosplay.
DUDE! I have forgotten how much of a BOP That Fire Soul Love Song is! No Joke, when i turned 15 and got my first car, I would Jam this Song out the Most from a Sailor Moon R CD I had Bought at the Mall! The other Two Songs I would Jam out to where "Kiss the Starlight" & "Route Venus". I remember my Friends, who had NO Idea I was a Sailor Moon Junkie or even what it was, LOVED That Mars Song the most, Because According to them, the Sound & English spoken parts, Gave out a "Japanese Janet Jackson" kind of Vibe and they thought that was sooooo Cool! Ahhh, I miss those days.....
What intrigues me about Sailor Mars is that she two different personalities in the anime and Manga. Anime makes her a sassy and angry lady constantly chiding Usagi. Manga originally made her level-headed, well mannered, and has a bitter taste for guys.
Part of that is her backstory. Her father is a high-tier politician, who cared more for his position than his own wife, who passed away while he was 'too busy'. Rei is very much BITTER about that.
Fun idea for a series! Looking forward to more entries! :)

I always note that Mars is one of few Senshi who gets a perfect VA every time. From her original Japanese, to the first English dub, to the second, everyone they cast for Mars always fits the role.

Love Sailor Mars. She’s one of my most favorite Sailor scouts alongside Sailor Jupiter and Neptune. I had the pleasure meeting Cristina Vee and Lauren Landa at LA Collect a Con 2024 and they were both very kind, signed Sailor Mars and Neptune prints for me and took a picture with them both.

I just realized aside of Kagome and Rei being both Shrine Maidens in their Grandpa's Tokyo based temples how did it slip past me Kagome shoots arrows just like Rei. I love to think about those 2s similarities.

Sailor Mars is the second best Sailor Senshi in my honest opinion (1st best is Sailor Venus). There's just too many things interesting about Rei Hino that we cannot ignore. She is one wonderful shrine maiden character with consistent shrine maiden training similarly to Reimu Hakurei from Touhou. One noble female character in the group indeed and definitely rather than Usagi. Oh god, if I were being Mamoru, I would easily go out dating with her rather than Usagi, for determination to get to know Rei better, not feeling remorse for cheating Usagi. Sure, no Chibi Moon happens, but an even better daughter or even son for Rei would be there.

Venus: spiritual connection to Artemis and super strength/love curse
Mars: purification, fire reading and connection to Phobos/Deimos
Jupiter: super strength, connected to plant life, brings storms
Moon: magnetic attraction of friend and foe/life force
Pluto: multiple incarnations existing at once, prophetic nature
Uranus: super strength, speed, prophetic nature
Neptune: natural musician, prophetic nature, magical mirrors
Saturn: healing power, aging powers

I’m a Scorpio she was always my favorite cus I identified with her.. ah I miss playing her with my cousins playing the rest of the girls 😅
I like Rei in the manga, Crystal, Eternal and Cosmos of Sailor Moon are better than the 90'S anime because it shows a sign quote "Accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the thing you can and have the wisdom to know the difference" the prayer shows about Rei make mistakes she through doing right things during the Dark Kingdom arc and Dream arc but it wrong that lead to unintentional consequences like when doubts her determination in believe herself to save people but when Rei meditates before her fire again at the shrine, this time receiving a vision of a man on the bus grabbing Usagi and senses danger she goes save her but it a trap by Jadeite then when Sailor Moon and Mercury are both rendered powerless as Jadeite freezes them, when Rei wakes amongst the commotion, asking why Usagi saved her because she has responsibility as a Sailor Guardian to use her power to protect people like Rei does and believe her determination by having the the courage to change the thing she and the wisdom to know the difference when Rei dashes towards Jadeite and grabs his arm as the Mars symbol appears on her forehead then Luna throws her a pen, encouraging her to transform, as the third Sailor Guardian Sailor Mars and performs her newest action, Akuryo Taisan, and engulfed by flames Jadeite is defeated and she's better with her power she can protect her friends now in Eternal Rei goes to the Mirror House by PallaPalla where a mirror displays a younger version of herself preying on her doubts as Tiger's Eye appears in the reflection as well ever sense Rei lost her mother of a illness she doubts he determination she use her Akuryo Taisan doesn't work and Rei can't transform and starts to forget things as the Lemures give her a nightmare and she falls then Phobos and Deimos break into the Mirror House and attack Tiger's Eye to save Rei forcing him to retreat inside the mirrors. They wake Princess Mars up and she sees them in their human forms for the first time and she regains her determination by believe in them in with Sailor Neptune's words this is right thing by having the courage to change the thing she and the wisdom to know the difference they grant Rei her Mars Crystal and Mars Arrow She transforms into Super Sailor Mars and, remembering Sailor Neptune's words, destroys Tiger's Eye with Mars Flame Sniper, breaking the spell over the Amazoness Quartet's audience Sailor Mars because better than before with courage and wisdom with the power of love can do anything and always believe her determination to help and save her friends she loves Usagi and the others that's why I Rei a lot better in the Manga, Crystal, Eternal and Cosmos of Sailor Moon it makes sense about everything because the Serenity prayer to signs of consequence of making mistakes but we can always fix things to make things right no matter what with courage and wisdom with the power of love can make things better and will always triumph over evil Sailor Moon says no matter what.

All I’ll say is to be patient, this is a hobby and I get busier with real life more and more often. Plus I like to focus my efforts on other types of content too
