Iceman is my favourite minifigure here. I will definitely be picking him up separately so I can get the whole Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends team together!
A wave of nostalgia hit me like a semi-truck when you played the Lego marvel superheroes theme. This set is by far my favourite Lego marvel set hands down
11:08 That’s what I love about Lego modular sets. If there’s a section where there’s like an explosion or collateral damage or something, they usually give you three pieces to make it normal and fixed if you don’t like it how it is
Great review. My prediction is that we’ll be getting a “Sentinel Attack” Lego set in the near future much like we got a Leviathan set 7-8 months after we got the Avengers Tower. Looking forward to getting it.
9:46 I a reference to X1 when wolverine steals Cyclops motorcycle. 14:23 is a reference to when Magneto breaks out of the courtroom, its a different place same reference. (just like the placement of Charles portrait). 14:50 the plants in the roof is probably referencing Storms garden in the comics,( which was also referenced in Mission demolition. 16:06 its a Pyro exit due to his mutant ability to control fire. 21:15 the creole is referencing Gambit and the medical science is referencing Beast. 23:00 is a diagram of the mansion and it is showing where the sentinel is attacking. 27:00 many are complaining about the placement of Cerebra but in Deadpool 2 Wade is using Cerebro in the living room. 27:28 might be a reference to the opening of X1 and X2. 27:37 is probably a reference to the cure. 29:13 is a reference to X2 when Logan asks Bobby to freeze his soda. 29:19 is preference to either Blade, Silver Samurai, or Psyloke. 29:48 is a reference to the Disney plus show (code red) that came out last year. 30:29 Does wolverine share a bedroom with Cyclops or Jubilee, if so that explains where he got the picture from. 33:41 ( you could use Montgomery Burns torso and legs.) it would make the figure EXELLENT!!!
I am getting Clocktower vibes from back to the future. I really really like this set. I’m gonna try to build it out of my Harry Potter and other superhero pieces.
The plants in the rafters will be a reference to the animated series as seen in the episode “A Rogues Tale” Rogue flies through the mansion and breaks through the ceiling revealing storm in a botanical attic garden
I’m so happy they recreated the meme, first in the bugle now here! So funny 😂 The drawing of Wolverine & the XJet The word could be ‘about’ so it would be ‘Important info about’ Rogue should of used a different hair piece And wolverine shouldn’t have been included but it’s a marketing thing as Wolverine is The X-MAN
If they do make sentinel sets, they should include other X-Men minifigures to fight, like Jubilee, Colossus, Angel, Forge, Nightcrawler, Surge or Shadowcat.
Prediction for next year's, fantastic 4 tower. Then we'll get all the main superhero groups from marvel, or it might be avengers Mansion or some secondary building for the groups
I really like that you take the time to show all the details of the set like the flowers in the attic, the Mr. Sinister & Apocalypse references, what the unused sticker sheet looks like, & if there’s anything special in the instructions. It’s these little details like this that I haven’t seen any of the other reviewers cover which makes me really appreciate your reviews over a lot of the other LAN members. While I probably won’t get this myself & just get some of the minifigures like Iceman, Gambit, Jean Grey, & Cyclops once they hit BrickLink, knowing all the details about the set including the dimensions of how much space it takes up is really useful to me as a collector with limited space left to display new sets.
I’ve been reading older Claremont xmen comics recently, the plants are more than likely just a reference to the fact that the xmansion has a greenhouse in the attic. I saw it in I believe both new mutants issue 3 and xmen 143, I may be wrong. Hope this helps for the reference video!
10:16 the claw marks on the ground is a reference to a very popular move wolverine does in the comics when he is sliding on the bike and needs to slow down he sticks his claws out on the ground to create friction
I’m not sure about in X-Men 97, but in the other shows like X-Men Evolution and I think even in the comics Storm has a garden in the attic so I think that’s the reference for the plants in the rafters
That coin in the dumpster might be one of the most dark references in a LEGO set. Obviously it could be just a little nod to how magneto has used coins in the past, but the first thing my mind went to was him killing Shaw and that scene when he was a kid in WWII
I think the flower in the rafter could be a reference to the Krakoan flowers that they used for the Gates. If so that’s a very cool and subtle reference to the recent comics.
Baxter Building would be so good for next year. It would go really well with the Fantastic 4 movie next year. They could include a new Dr. Doom figure, and maybe a Silver Surfer figure.
This is a MUST HAVE SET!!! I also want to try and get all the pieces for the sentinel on pick a brick since there are extra stickers for it, in this set.
Great, great set but obvious I’m going to jump to negatives, but my one nitpick is that I wish Iceman had an head piece. I hope we get an extension to this set with a bigger or the same sentinel, Jubilee, beast and maybe Cable. All together we should have gotten more minifigures. Still a great set. Also in the new Lego marvel move in the credits we see a new Deadpool hopes for the future!
Here’s a idea, maybe Lego makes another build for X-men 97 and the car comes with it including Jean, Cyclops, Cable, and a sentienal (probably not the human version)
Or just Bruce Wayne if you add the slick back black hair, or mandarin if you take the comb over black hair, or any stormtrooper or Jurassic park grunt, or Loki….. Lego is lazy And crazy for that price
Nice! I hope you do a video with the mansion next to the previous modulars like you did for the Avengers Tower, I'm very curious specifically about how the lawn looks next to other modulars
I don’t understand why people want this to connect with the other marvel Modular’s so bad? It’s not even close to the same place. The reason the other sets connect is because in the MCU, they are literally RIGHT beside each other. The sanctum, bugle and avengers tower are all built beside each other if u see the movie but clearly the X mansion isn’t. I would have liked the set more if it didn’t connect. I probably won’t be buying it for that reason alone
As someone who grew up with Lego Marvel Superheroes I am very excited that the mansion and all characters will land in my collection. Full complete team of Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, almost the whole team so now I’m just waiting for Fantastic four sets.
the poster saying collected reminds me of in the book 'do androids dream of electric sheep' they call killing the androids 'retiring' them - same with Blade Runner which is based on it. it also kind of reminds me of Beast reading Animal Farm in X-Men (I think it was 97 but might have been original series) Edit: also with Iceman included we now have Spider-Man, Iceman and Firestar, or in other words Spider-Man and his amazing friends
Been waiting years for the location, and it looks great. The Sentinel is a good inclusion and the minifigures are well done. I just don't entirely know if it has the full value for the price. It's definitely about a $300 set, but I don't know about $330
@@AshnflashI have the Bugle and Sanctum but not A tower. I don’t think it’s anywhere near worth its price tag personally especially compared to the bugle. I’m on the fence with the mansion but I like it alot.
Yeh it’s just not an exciting “big house” they literally had to include a front yard to create an engaging play feature because the danger room is too small.
@@JustinLanier the scale is just so it’s in line with the other Modular’s, I just wish we had another build to go alongside it like an ice structure for iceman or something to make it more vibrant
Hopefully they make an Asteroid M or Genosha set for the next modular. Maybe even a minifigure set for xmen specifically so we can get some that were referenced here like Pixie, Nightcrawler, Pyro, Cable, Jubilee, Angel, Psylocke, Mr Sinister, Dazzler, Apocalypse, etc. Cant wait to get this set!
Made my own 97 Casual Gambit minifigure, and I can’t wait to fit him into this set! Also working on custom Evolution minifigs to give this set another spin!
The second you took out the middle section and connected the two sides my mind immediately went to Wayne Manor. I’m seriously considering getting multiple of these to create that moc.
I love the modular series so much, i do wonder though how much further this will go. Baxter Building and Oscorp are the only ones that make sense logically imo, anything else would either not fit the modular street design (Asgard, Wakanda) or isn't strong enough to carry a set (Nelson & Murdock, Pym Labs, etc.)
Can't wait for the Y mansion
💀
He he he
I'm looking forward to the Z mansion
@noir-214 Come to me, my Z Men!

As someone who grew with lego marvel superheros im very pleased that we finally got a jean grey and iceman
Ya! I'm in the same boat!

@@disneyvillainsfan1666 ❤️❤️❤️
Historically in the comics storm had a garden in the attic which I think the flower reference in the roof
This is my guess as well.
Ya a couple people have said this! So it must be!
It could also be one of the Krakoan flowers from the most recently wrapped up era of the comics.
Iceman is my favourite minifigure here. I will definitely be picking him up separately so I can get the whole Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends team together!

The flowers in the attic are reference to storm having a garden up there in old Uncanny X-Men comics. Like late 70s and early 80s
Fun fact the building used for the x mansion in the Deadpool movies is the same as Auradon prep in the descendants movies
Pretty sure it’s also Queen Mansion in Arrow
Huh, you really DO learn something new every day.
The things in the lawn are not sprinklers they are the lawn defense system

I think it’s storm’s garden from the comics too
The clear piece is supposed to be the skylight
