21:30 A cookie being stashed in one of Tony's drawers might be a reference to Robert Downey Jr. stashing snacks for himself on the aets of _The Avengers,_ to the point that the crew gave up trying to find and remove them, and just let him eat on camera. There's an adlibbed moment in the film where Tony offers (I think) Steve and Bruce some of his food.
The cookie is a reference to how Robert Downey Jr would sneak food onto the set of the Avengers. There’s a bit he does during the “hulk saved you” scene where he pulls out a snack and offers it to Mark Ruffalo, who looks confused
So, my best theory on the inclusion of Wong is that this way you can have his figure in the sanctum entering the portal in that set, and then exiting the portal on the avengers tower (or vice versa) which is an effect you can only get if you have a duplicate between the two sets (although I do think getting an ancient one figure would definitely have been cooler)
I think the cookie in the drawer references that RDJ would hide food on set everywhere and then be eating it during the scenes. They mentioned that in one of the making of videos for Avengers.
this set is truly impressive, it’s one of those sets that i wouldn’t notice from a distance isnt lego, the windows and architecture makes it look so real, my only issues are the lack of leg printing and the HEFTY price
Kind of unrelated, but do you think this might mean that Lego could make a modular building of other buildings in the MCU? Say something like the Compound from Endgame, Malibu Mansion from Iron Man/any Stark home, Asgard, etc. I'm really intrigued (looking back most of these probably won't be modular) but there are so many places they have not done yet properly.
I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this, but I’m pretty sure that the bubble gu wrapper and bubble gum is a reference to how in winter solider the lumberman star thumb drive was hidden behind bubble gum in a vending machine. The fact that there’s a vending machine in the set is interesting for that fact since it’s a vita rush and not a bubble gum one.
This set might be my favourite ever, but what really sold me was that classic cover of the original avengers comic, maybe if we keep getting these little comic covers like the batman first issue people could make a custom modular comic shop :D
Bro… the vending machine with an orange fruit logo… pym particals…. Does anyone have some Orange slices!!!!!!!!! Can’t believe you didn’t call them out on the missed blue eyes detail on Eric Selvig too 🙈
When this was revealed or leaked - whichever it was, it was the day that I was reading the new timeline for the MCU and the Netflix shows were confirmed to not listed in the timeline. I don’t think LEGO realized that’s where it’s from
@@Ashnflash If your referring to the Marvel Studios’ The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline that book is stated to only cover Marvel Studios projects and on one page Miss Minutes says something like this is not the full timeline. In WHiH Newsfront, which was a series of news clips created to promote Ant-Man and Civil War, the events of Agents of Shield Season 3 Episode 14 are mentioned in a news ticker. Also in Age of Ultron when Fury arrives with Helicarrier No. 64 he says “I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends.” In which he is referring to Coulson who was in charge of the project to repair the Helicarrier in case of an emergency, and it’s the same Helicarrier we see in Agents of Shield. Also Reed Diamond, the actor who portrayed Daniel Whitehall in Agents of Shield, was called by Marvel to check his availability for a appearance in Endgame and the VFX studio that created the infinity stone graphics for the time heist prep scene included his face on the one for the Tesseract. I just focused on stuff from Agents of Shield as it has the most evidence but all of the shows are interconnected. Edit: The book is also full of errors and contradictions
It’s quite simple. Those shows aren’t on the timeline on Disney Plus and they aren’t in the book ergo not in the MCU. We’ve seen with What If…? and Loki that many events are the same in every universe. But small changes lead to branches. They may have at the time been attempts to have them connected to the MCU, but as the shows went on, it stopped. To me, they’re branches. And the biggest overarching and definitive proof is their absence from those timelines.
them showing they could have done the “stark” logo as a replacement in the same blue letters on the back of the manual is them just taking a piss.. The Eric Selvig minifig and the helicarrier cell are just lazy work, quicksilver and a vision birthpod/chamber would have been such a perfect fit looking at the fact everyone from that scene is allready in this set(vision/wanda/Tony stark/Thor) so I really don’t get the choises they made concering that.
we have had a large marvel modular set every year since 2021 which is very crazy, probaly the only licensed them to have this streak Edit: harry potter actually has a longer streak starting in 2020 but it still doesn’t take away from how special this is
Believe me; Wong is the only figure included in this set that I would remove from, because he literally had no reference inside the Avengers tower. Instead, Happy Hogan, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, Quicksilver, Ultron, Spiderman Vulture, and Stan Lee should be there.
They did the very great jobs on the set but not the minfigures. I tired of black widow hairstyle. They should give her petunia dursley's hairpiece from harry potter in dark red. And no hand printing and leg printing was flop too
24:24 the battle of NY newspaper was briefly seen in daredevil when Ben Urich was cleaning out his desk. It has the same design and is by the new york bulletin so you can tell it's the same one
in the same room with the deleting hydra files I think that's a reference to LMSH 2 where there's a part of a level where you have to delete a bunch of hydra spam off the computer (it's in the bonus level in egypt with colson and quake)
21:48 that's a cool reference to the first Ironman movie, At the end of the film that newspaper appears, but the interesting thing is that the photo used is one taken by an amateur photographer who leaked the photo from the movie set in may 2007, I think back then was the first look at his suit, but later the photo was changed, really cool
One thing I disliked about the bugle is that you couldn't really interact with the bottom floor unless you take off all three of the levels above it, I'm glad they fixed that for this set.
23:21 i feel like the containment cell room could be a reference to the Disney XD animated series "Avengers Assemble" in which the tower has cells The Avengers will keep villains in till they can have S.H.I.E.L.D come pick them up
The files at the receptions desk could be the leaked ones from Winter Soldier especially with the inclusion of Alexander Peirce in the set, but that might be too loose of a connection
The “Bubble Gum” wrapper is a reference to The Winter Solider, and the gum in the vending machine that Cap hid the drive behind (which Natasha snagged and chewed)!
The bucket is for a leak like in the daily bugle. Another thing from the bugle is the “Who is spider man” but in this its “Who is iron man”. Love your vids man
I would love to purchase this set, but for the same reasons that applied for the Daily Bugle, 1: not enough space for the set(s) and 2: more than I make from doing work around the house/ from family/birthdays etc.
My theory on the cookie reference It’s in the Armoury. Armoury sounds like Arny Arny is short for Arnold Arnold Schwarzenegger Jingle all the way PUT THE COOKIE DOWN!
I am definitely picking this up on Black Friday, I have been saving my Insiders points and gift cards for this purchase. Anyone know if there is a light kit for this set yet?
Quicksilver, Bruce, an Iron Legion drone, Happy, Coulson, Spider-Man. Sitwell from Endgame? Even just a civilian (or as others have said the Ancient One)
Hey there! I’ve just started watching the video so I don’t know if you talked about it in the video, but would you please connect it to the other marvel modules? Thanks! Edit: never mind! You already said you would. Thanks!
I am only 13 years old but I work at my parent's pizza shop so I could save up enough money. Do you think the build will be too complicated for somebody my age? (I have built the Bugle, all the 18+ Mario sets, the pac-man and the fender guitar)
I’m just saying I got this for Christmas and I LOVED BUILDING IT and I wanted this since it was announced on Black Friday because I watched this vid and it convinced me to ask for it for Christmas. Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it, without you I would’ve just said “eh cool set” and never looked back 😅
What do you think of this set? Are you picking this up on Black Friday?
Nah bro it’s too expensive
Possibly I might just get it when I got the time to build it
As soon as the clock strikes Nov 24th I'm buying.
I don’t have enough money for then, but I will around Christmas time and I can’t wait!
It's a garbage set for the price. It had so much potential when it came to the minifigure selection but they cheaped out with mostly reuses.
Nice, I really like that theory! Thank you!
It’s not a theory its just a fact
Yeah they should’ve added blueberry’s too (that’s the snack tony offered in the film)
Beat me to it 😅😅
The cookie is a reference to how Robert Downey Jr would sneak food onto the set of the Avengers. There’s a bit he does during the “hulk saved you” scene where he pulls out a snack and offers it to Mark Ruffalo, who looks confused

Yeah that was my guess too
Is it just me or does the set feel like it should be a Stark tower and not Avengers tower
I’m torn on the Vision minifigure. While a new Vision is needed I would have liked the option of him not phasing
I have no doubt we will get that elsewhere
And remember we’re getting a age of ULTRON final battle set
I think the cookie in the drawer references that RDJ would hide food on set everywhere and then be eating it during the scenes. They mentioned that in one of the making of videos for Avengers.

Nearly hour long set review? Count me in, it’s justified for this set.
Ahah enjoy!
@@AshnflashI am
The set is amazing. It’ll take some saving, but I’ll definitely puck this up.

Asgard would be a bit hard to display in Lego, it would be huge. Even just the temple would be as big if not bigger than the Lego Disney Castle
14:00 this could be a reference to when Cap hid Nick Fury’s hard drive behind the gum in the hospital vending machine in Winter Soldier
Yes, I’ve got that written down. I asked the designer though and he said it’s just gum lol
I thought it just because the thing about the designers getting cake if they include a pink piece in the star wars sets
“12% of the credit” I understood that reference 😂😂
This set might be my favourite ever, but what really sold me was that classic cover of the original avengers comic, maybe if we keep getting these little comic covers like the batman first issue people could make a custom modular comic shop :D

25:28 The New York Bulletin was never in the movies only in the shows which is really cool! We need Marvel Television sets yesterday!

Will this be a Lego site exclusive or will it be available on other sites like Amazon? That 1-2 day shipping is what I’m hoping for with amazon prime😂
It will be a LEGO exclusive for three months at least

The cell room was a weird inclusion, they could've put the birth pod amongst stuff in a storage room referencing the move out in Homecoming

Hey! Can you make a video placing it next to the Daily Bugle and Sanctum Sanctorum please?
I’m working on it!
@@Ashnflash Nice! Can't wait!
Hehe, I have a custom building that’s 2 inches taller than the avengers tower, don’t I feel high and mighty
Wait is Wasp an update of her first figure or is it the suit from Quantumania?
Update of her first figure/ her Infinity Saga outfit. The Quantumania one would have a new circle on the lower torso.
Did I save my Lego budget for this and the History Museum. Yes, yes I did.
Goooood
They did the very great jobs on the set but not the minfigures.

I think there’s a crate hidden in the quinjet for storing studs??🤓
Ah you’re right! I built it so long ago I forgot about it

Oh my days how epic
lol, I wish it was $49.99 like you said
SMH… I make this mistake so much 🤦♂️
I can see people putting Yoda heads on Hulk and giving Thanos a hairdew 😂
i’m gonna use the chamber as the room emil blonsky is inside in she hulk, since we don’t have abomination yet
Ya why not!
The set is great but just feel disappointed about the insider rewards 😢
Believe it or not, I actually like the design of the taxi.
The bucket is a reference to fury telling Loki it’s his bathroom
Will you make a video about how this connects with the Bugle and the Sanctum?
He already said he would at the beginning of the vid
I will! With the other 2023 modulars! Very soon
Oh its beutiful i mean all these small details that modulars have make them all worth it

Supposedly there is a mansion! I just don’t know if it’s modular
@@Ashnflash if it’s 100-150 bucks it’ll still be worth it lol
Was there a face reveal in the glass reflection? 🤔🤔🤔
The bubble gum is a reference to Captain America the Winter Soldier. When cap hid the hard drive in bubble gum
What an amazing set!
in 0:17 u said 49.99, i wish that were the price 😭
The elevator lines up in this model, thank goodness, I had to buy second bugal to fix the mistake with that elevator not lining up

0:16 wait hold up did bro just say it’s only $49.99 ??? 😭
I wish that was the real price 😅
Wow fantastic set epic minifigs awsome review
Thanksss
Yoo the tower is 50 dollars?? Siiiick
Only buying this to give thanos a nice hair cut
I wanted to see him put the Hulk head on a Bruce Banner figure, or the hair on a normal sized head
The cookie is a reference to Robert Downey jr. always bringing snacks and eating them while filming
My theory on the cookie reference
It’s in the Armoury.
Armoury sounds like Arny
Arny is short for Arnold
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Jingle all the way
PUT THE COOKIE DOWN!
Instead of the prison, I would have liked to see the repair bay for the Iron Legion.
The lab at the top is Helen cho’s which is why the sceptre is included as she studied and used it to help make vision
The war machine figure is cool but I love the black one that came back in the captain America civil war sets, I may use that one instead
It’s gonna be so hard to build, I’ll definitely have my brother help me
Yep that newspaper is a daredevil reference awesome!
I think that the Zola reference was because Hydra was always within SHIELD/the tower
Well the good news is it doesn’t look like I’ll have to modify this as much as I was expecting.
I am definitely picking this up on Black Friday, I have been saving my Insiders points and gift cards for this purchase. Anyone know if there is a light kit for this set yet?

Can I ask why Lego is so expensive is it like the bricks are difficult to make or something
Love the battle damaged figs
It’s so awesome
46:33 Oh no , I think the 2x2 slope pieces on falcon’s wings should be build upside down, u have to reapply the stickers😅😅

Awesome video ashnflash

Is it possible to just the minifiger in that lego set
Bald Hulk is giving me Abomination vibes
I hope they release some of these figures in cheaper sets
Dang I need a comparison with DB to see if they look good together

@Ashnflash yes! I have a feeling they don't go together lol but on its own it's incredible

what does wong have to do with avengers tower?
