thank you for visiting Ethiopia.... but at 3:23 correction (only a few areas in Oromia are unstable) the rest are peaceful. next time come to Hawassa (a great destination)... you can use a plane or even a vehicle, the road(highway) is fine.

People don't visit the parks because the entrance fee is unaffordable for the locals. I hope the government will change that.

If you want to visit Friendship Square with a crowd, it's best to visit on weekends at night, from 4:00 to 7:30, or in Ethiopian time after noon, from 10:00 to 1:30. There is a colorful water dance there as well.

Did you perhaps go on a week day coz everyones at work and ppl normally visit parks on weekends specially in the afternoon to see the water show at 7 pm
No l visited on Sunday afternoon but l guess people were tired instead so they were home.

Hi, unfortunately l didn’t visit lalibella because of a war happening now in that region. It is safe if you travel with a local or friends. I would advise you to travel with someone who knows the local language well. Thank you for watching 👍
Thank you dor answering! I've been postponing this trip do Ethiopia since 2022 just because of this Tigray war. But I heard about that it was ended around 1 year ago. But as you said that, now I am afraid again =/
@@fabguzmanwell aparently the situation is indeed better. I think flying there, staying in the city only and flying back would be doable, but still at higher risk. On top of it Ethiopia’s currency is crashed. Everyone is using black market, but you if you pay the flight in usd with card, you basically pay double price. Some local drivers offered me to take me there (at high price), but I didn’t want to risk the hassle.. i chose the Omo valley instead 😉

Definitely you should visit friendship square and MESKEL square. If possible you can also visit omo valley but it will be a bit expensive to travel there. Addis Ababa is very safe for both foreigners and locals

you probably went to the parks on the weekdays. Most people work and children goes to school. Try the weekends, its busy and fun.

Though it's very limited in terms of showing how Addis Ababa looks, you have done great to summarise your view. But, I have seen a couple of clips which were taken out of Addis definitely from one of the remotest areas in the country which might confuse or mislead uninformed people.
Exactly when people think of Africa, what comes into their minds is ghettos, poverty, unhealthy people and so many other things yet Africa got cities, nice roads as well

You made good points with the workers! Ethiopian government employees are lazy , and it is the culture to abuse the government money and time ! They have no work ethics and moral ! This has been a problem for government! Most people can’t speak other languages ! The current government is trying its best to change work ethics ! Hope the city Moyer will watch this Video, and change the workers ! Appreciated your point ! Ethiopian people need a change !
Some people in Ethiopia are still mentioning that the reason why they can’t speak the other language is because they were never colonized by the European powers. Yea, it’s good that they value their local languages but maybe it’s the same reason why the country is not developing so fast because no one understands English. Even at the police stations don’t know anything in English which is very sad in this modern world where every country is fighting to learn English. Knowing or understanding other language doesn’t mean that you are colonized now!!

Dudy travel, Before you open your big mouth, you should research the facts and information about the peace and security of the Oromia region, the capital of Africa. Oromia region and finefe, shager or Addis Ababa is very safe. All of Ethiopia is peaceful, there is no such problem. You are misinformed in hating beautiful Ethiopia.
Dear, I am sorry to inform you, but much parts of Ethiopia are not safe. There is a war in Amhara, the country even declared a state of emergency. Kidnappings happen in Oromia region, even my local driver was scared to drive after it gets dark. Apparently even the highway is closed over the night.. i know that you love your country, bit it does not mean that you must ignoring the problems. Instead your should show your love by helping to solve the problem
