Gerber 400 Compact Sport

The Gerber 400 is a lightweight multitool that is very similar to the Leatherman Juice line. While it does not have as many tools as my Juice CS4, it had a major advantage with locking blades. Also, the Gerber pliers are easier to deploy one handed. Overall I've had this tool for about eight years, and it's been through heavy usage. If I had to choose between the two, it would depend whether your most accessed tools were the pliers or blades on the Leatherman. If you use your knife blade the most, the outside accessible Leatherman is the way to go. However if you want a quick, strong pair of pliers, the Gerber can't be beat.
