    Awesome job Jackie! The headlight seems dim so it may need a new bulb or upgrade to LED. One thing I noticed is not using turn signals. Please make it a habit on every turn. Need to make sure cars know what you're doing and the flashing also makes drivers notice you more. Keep it up!

    • @JackiesMotoGarage

      I so thought it seemed dim! That's why I wasn't sure if it was on. I'll have to double check it. I was trying to use hand signals, but I meed to work on getting in the habit of using my real signals.

      Are you not using your blinkers? I don't think your headlight was on! Anyway good on you, it's so good when you find "the bike" x

    Hello, what an awesome evening /sunset cruise!! I can't get over how nice the gauges light up at night, with the sunset just awesome! Sometimes I'll wear a pair of my orange hunting gloves, the other drivers can see my hand motions better, even at low light levels. Beautiful ride. Be safe, look twice, and enjoy the ride!

    Just found your channel and really enjoy it. I also have a Bonneville T100 and I too am still learning how to ride, so I totally get your comfort zone in your neighborhood. My goal is to venture further out of neighborhood each weekend. I look forward to following your journey. Ride safe 🏍.

      Glad you found it!! Mine is out of commission right now, but I'm hoping to get it fixed soon so I can take it out some more! Happy to have another beginner here. Ride safe!

    Thank you again, Jackie. (the first one was for your Warrior ride) I used to ride, but it's been more than 20 years, so I feel like quite a beginner at this point. Watching you on your learning curve is just such a joy because what you are learning are all same skills that I'm going to have to pick up again as well. It's like I'm learning vicariously through you. It's making me more comfortable watching someone have the same fears of driving, like the dropping, the stalling, the intersections, the traffic, and all that. Since I don't have a circle of riders to practice with, all my teachers are online. And you're one of my favourites because you make it all so real, no fake bravado, no arrogance (which seems to be common to the male riders), just a real person doing real things and learning with real issues .... and succeeding. Please keep making your same great content. To quote the band Loverboy, 'I'm lovin' every minute of it' . .. probably before your time. They are fellow Canadians. YT will have the vid. ... Namaste, and keep the rubber side down.

    Hey Jackie, one thing that would help you a lot would be more throttle when you are taking off. Less likely to stall or almost stall and that bit more power in the friction zone will make the bike more stable as it picks up speed.

    Very nice video as I had started out the same way as you and around the same time learning to ride! I have taken the MSF course this year and passed! Now I am a full licensed motorcycle rider! Keep up the great work! I wish I had someone to help and coach me, 99.9% of my riding has been solo and self learning. Trying not to pickup bad habits but its inevitable.

    I am proud of your progress. You are starting to ride the bike to make it sound right. You don't need both feet on the ground at stops. Think kick stand. The crown of the road makes left foot down easier, usually. I prefer right foot down at stops on flat ground because my brake foot will not be as important as my shift foot on take off. The crown determines that, though. I am only slightly taller than you and Jon. One foot is fine once you learn the conditions.

    Looks like you need to adjust the headlight. When you turn it is shining kind of high. But let me say it is a very beautiful bike. I just got my M1 endorsement and haven’t been out on my pops Harley-Davidson Road King yet. Keep the rubber side down. 🤙🏽

    Nice job riding today. Conference comes from experience comes with getting on the bike and going. As far as you stalling the bike it happens it's part of the learning curve. I stalled my bike the other day, thought I was in the friction zone, I wasn't. Keep up the good work and it all pay off in the end. Wheelies and Sturgis did I nap out again...lol. Be good and be safe!!

    So first time rider and first ride on a z900rs.. I stalled it in second gear going up a steep hill on my fist ride.. found out that's is why you keep right foot up... Pretty much need it to start when you hill or you will roll backwards

    • @PkwyDrive13
      @PkwyDrive13 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should keep your right foot up at all times no matter what to keep the brake engaged. unless the grounds sketchy, angled, or an incline as you mentioned. or of course you're not there yet as a rider and aren't comfortable with the balance yet.
      Nothing bothers me more than watching motovloggers ALWAYS shift to neutral and take their hands off the controls at every stop light.

      p.s. i always put both feet on the ground unless i'm on an uphill or downhill slope and want to rest my arms. then i use the foot brake to hold the bike still. sometimes i even stand up to stretch my legs while at a stoplight. it's what the cool kids do. ;-)

    • @JackiesMotoGarage
      @JackiesMotoGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha you never know what's going to come out of my mouth! It made such a difference having both feet down for that bike! I felt super uneasy with only one down. I'll need to get used to it before I keep the rear brake covered at stops.

    It appears a slight amount more throttle when you are stopped and then going would keep the bike from stopping....or will help with the killing of the engine. If you rev the motor a bit faster, just make sure that you let the clutch out a bit slowly. Just my opinion of course

  • @williamstirling8794

    Also it’s probably the bars are too narrow for the weight of that bike . Just like my old ass 41 year old Honda cm 400 ,, I am changing my old ass buckhorn bars to a 32 and a half in wide street handlebar that is much wider and straighter than the buckhorn ones . That’s going to give me much more control of the heavy weight on the front of my bike the old “ styled “ triumphs are very similar to being built with solid and heavier materials ,, similar to my motorcycle that is all heavy materials from back in the day when they built things to last !! Have fun Jackie

    You seem to be coming along nicely with your riding. Just a suggestion: If you have the right of way try not to wave others through as it kinda causes confusion to the other drivers and could get you into a crazy situation. I know it’s easier said than done but I have issues with turning my bike as well bc my bike is built to last and not necessarily performance in mind . Your bike is 30 years newer than mine or 20 or whatever but the brand triumph builds the older “ styles “ to look old like the bonneville line of bikes but they built them with heavier duty parts that were made to last in mind ,, rather than the lighter materials they use on their performance models!!! I Think????? Lol 😂. Btw ,, I know this Bc before I bought my bike I went to a Triumph dealer and test rode a new 2017 bonneville and it’s not really balanced like a sport bike
