    This is coming along very nicely! Looks amazing! I like the use of the shader, it definitely feels more crisp.

    Just dynamically enable and disable colliders objects based on the position of the characters and any other physics dependent objects. For obvious reasons, try to minimize the use of collisions.

      Yes! I guess that's pretty straightforward! And it might be enough for me! Thanks

    Great progress! Concerning the networking, does the server have to be in the cloud? Or can it also work on one of the players' PC?

      Thank you! 😊
      The server will only be one of the players' PC. I am not planning on having dedicated servers

    Is the terrain changeable, xample can create a lake, river, then a startup generated custom mesh for larger chuncks of the landsacape could work better than tile based collision.

      I think my terrain will not be changeable! I didn't feel like it lacked in many factory games I played that don't have it. You are right, chunkisation is definitely on my roadmap!

    Hey this looks awesome! Do you need music for it? I am an audio engineer and composer. Let me know!

    How does the hex-based movement work in the beginning? Was it used in the project?

    • @madrededios77
      @madrededios77  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You mean the hex math I talk about in the first episodes?
      It's not used for movement, the player moves in euclidian space. The hex math is used for world queries, such as getting the blocks around another, or chunck based operations
