    Hey brother, I just did DIY snorkel installation and you were correct I was wrong if you use the holesaw you need to drill two holes and then connect them so my apology to you and Justin

    • @CoastalGX
      @CoastalGX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No need to apologize at all. People will have legit questions and that’s valid. You are a brave man to tackle this project on your own so you deserve an extra “congratulations” for completing it. Also, the holesaw is more efficient and precise. Better than just cutting the entire hole with a straight blade.

      Question for you both as I am installing this same Ironman 4x4 snorkel on my 17 460. Does the gap between the A Pillar and the snorkel seem large?

      @@FStewBailey my snorkel is Dobinson but I think they’re pretty much the same I believe there is always slight gap even properly installed but if you have a huge gap that means your bottom portion is not siting right ,I hope this answers your question

    Did you relocate the breather for the transmission and front differential?

    • @CoastalGX
      @CoastalGX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there; No. They are already kind of high up. The most vulnerable breather is the rear diff. The others are way higher and are covered by other components. You can definitely relocate them, but I just don’t see a need personally.

  • @reddyuda

      @@CoastalGX I learned the lesson the hard way on my 98' XJ 😭
      Way more effort to go back and fix it after it causes issues. Now I go wild and use paint and a thin layer of body seam sealer if possible. But I also live right next to the beach in FL. Humid + salt air is a killer

      Cruiser Shooter I didn’t bother doing the two other breathers. I saw the ARB and the knockoff brand but I didn’t need the extra material and I read that the hose material was brittle plastic. The hose I used is more like a fuel line (rubber.)
