Studying ahead is underrated. It's also (usually) multimodal - you may watch a educational video/demonstration, read the chapter, etc...but you haven't heard your professor lecture yet. So when you do go to that lecture, it's another mode and/or medium for the same material, and you'll learn from different angles for sure
Thanks so much! I’m definitely going to try my best! I may not be uploading as frequently in residency, but I’m going to do my best! And the videos will definitely relate to what I’m doing as a resident!
If i can give you just a bit of advice, please dont let your ego get so out of control you quit listening to your patients.. Dont ever have the '' Im the doctor I know more than you do as the patient'' mentality. while you may be '''right'' medically speaking, in the eyes of the patients you are wrong when you quit listening...

Exactly! Thats an amazing point! You learn so much more in lecture when you’ve studied ahead, then that learning compounds over time!
Hi, I am a fellow top of the class student in Minnesota. I agree with a lot of this information as I do most of what you’ve said.
That’s great to hear! I’m glad to hear you’ve also found these strategies to be helpful!
Wow your videos are too crisp! I bet it's been nice to relax a little bit before residency starts :)
Thank you so much! And it’s been one of the best seasons of medical school for sure!
Great video! I was wondering if you’ll do videos regarding learning during residency

I like how u said gamify your work
It’s a concept that has been game changing for me!
What’s your thought on Anki Remote controller to gamify it more.
I love it! I have an Anki remote and it makes studying more fun, but also more comfortable! (You get to lay back and relax more lol)
big fan of the anki controller, makes doing cards faster and more comfortable imo. Personally I use an xbox controller. -2nd year medical student
Super big fan of the Anki Remote, but I am a little biased 😅
