Ok thats enough Eloy for a while, the guys a total freak and makes me want to quit lol. Any other suggestions of killer metal drummers I should check out would be much appreciated! Hey even more Brazilians, cuz I love me some Brazilian drummers, something different about there feel and sound. Anyway METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The band Defeated Sanity has just put out a new album (Chronicles of Lunacy), and their drummer, Lille Gruber, has done some official drum playthroughs for their new tracks like 'The Odour of Sanctity'. He's a fantastic drummer and definitely deserves more recognition!
Not a ton of music videos or good live footage to react to, but the original drummer of Nails (Taylor Young) is super underrated and imo does a great job of writing fun and intense drum parts for Nails' crazy blends of grindcore, thrash, death metal, powerviolence and hardcore punk. Standout songs for me would be Suffering Soul, Conform/Scum Will Rise, You Will Never Be One of Us, and God's Cold Hands.
Sepultura is currently playing their "farewell tour" that is an 18 month, world-wide tour. Eloy left slightly before that tour started, as he obviously still wants to continue his career in music and Slipknot was a huge opportunity for him. Sepultura's live drummer for their final tour is a very young, New York drummer by the name of Greyson Nekrutman. He's only 22 years old and he's not only on this tour with Sepultura, but also his former band was Suicidal Tendencies! Apparently he's good enough to work with legends who are over double his age in both situations! Who knows what he'll do after the Sepultura tour, but for someone that young he's got quite the CV! He's also done live work for huge bands outside of metal, like The Beach Boys, Veronica Swift, Ted Nash, JXDN and others. Apparently he was more known for jazz before he joined Suicidal Tendencies. Apparently Sepultura is happy with him in the drummer's throne and from what I've seen, he's a suitable replacement for Eloy for their farewell tour. I don't know if he'll go back to pop, jazz or metal when he's done with that tour, but whatever he does, he's certainly capable and in demand! Oh, and in terms of things coming full circle, Jay Weinberg, former drummer of Slipknot, is now the drummer for Suicidal Tendencies. Seems like everything worked out for the best!
Cool channel and reactions, keep it up! Do some more reactions on Eloy please! Also Greyson Nekrutman (who replaced Eloy on Sepultura) and El Estepario Siberiano as well!
No matter whether you like this style of music or not. To me one thing is clear. The drum inovators nowadays do not come from Jazz or Fusion. The guys from Progressive Metal pushs the bar higher today regarding Drum Technique/Stylistic playing/Invention etc.... And this I've to admit altough I'm not the biggest fan of the music itself....Thanx again for your great video, all the great work you've done respectively what you're doin'......

Brazilian Drummer - Bruno Valverde From Angra. React to his Faithless Sanctuary Playthrough. This one is a great mix of prog metal and brazilian music
@@CrimsonKing88 this is the ONLY answer. Watch literally any Defeated Sanity playthrough or drum cam, guarantee your mind will be blown!

Eloy's throne in Sepultura is filled by Greyson Nekrutman. Definitely worth checking out!
Being a jazz player you would think he's seen Grayson play before. May surprise him that he's made the switch to metal
Yo yesss I remember hearing that actually. But I thought it was suicidal tendencies?? Maybe it was both🤷♂️🤷♂️
