Longwave. The Stills. Editors. Hot Hot Heat. Interpol. The Bravery. The Killers. France Ferdinand. Kaiser Chiefs. The Walkmen. The Music. The Rapture...just to name a few of the 00s bands that made my days and nights better. Some still burn while others have faded. I will keep the light on for you all.
Saw these guys at SXSW in Austin, TX back in 2008. Good sound and good era in music. Sad the nobody is making music like this anymore. Last great decade before rampant social media and smart phones
Never understood why Longwave wasn't amongst the indie bands that got catapulted into more mainstream....btw they released a new album in 2020 and it's just as good as their stuff from 2003!
Just had this sudden compulsion to listen to Longwave after so many years. Glad to see they’ve got back together and recording new music. This is the first song I ever heard of theirs and remember seeing them live at Night & Day in Manchester as well as seeing the singer play guitar with Albert Hammond jet’s band.
Yeah, I saw them open for the strokes many years ago, for a long time they were the best damn opening act I've seen. Honestly, they still are. I saw them again at a show in Jacksonville, FL as headliners and there was barely anyone there, I stood at the front of the stage the whole time, it was such an amazing experience. They really put their passion into their craft. Love these guys, please bring us some more music!
I saw them in "01 supporting the Strokes at Hal and Mals in Jackson, MS... They were better than the Strokes... WAAAAAAY better. some serious black jean black jacket Rock
The most underrated band ever.
I have to agree. Worst they made it bigger. Definitely deserved it.

One of the most underrated bands ever, I fucking love this band and was lucky to see them in London 2008. I hope people keep discovering their music.
I'm going to get to see them this Sunday. They're opening for Blue October.
who ever you are and you like this band tell all your friend's and family members we will get at least a million fans!
For me, this song encapsulates the confusion, anger and hurt you experience in youth.
This song helped me get through the worst breakup in my life back in 2009. It may have saved my life.
As a Texan, I was walking one snowy evening in Prague during January. Total surreal experience!
Of course I was listening to Longwave

They’re hardly indie - they were on a major label for the majority of their career.
It’s not hard enough for the mall kids and it’s too emotional for the same kids. I have all this shit on vinyl. My favorite band.
Man I got to see these guys I believe it was 2002. In Boston. Super small venue great show
