LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ I’m so happy they picked Empire in Black and Gold for you-and Ben Allen’s audios are a SUPERB way of experiencing the series!! This is the great big series in modern fantasy that’s way way underread compared to the actual audience that would love it if they only knew!!
The Curse of Chalion is fantastic! My sister forced me read it years ago and no regrets for falling for her book bullying, haha. It looks like you have an excellent February TBR
It is not a prequel to Elantris, it's just set on the same world with no crossovers. It would be if like someone wrote a book about Rome, but also a book about Malaysia.
The min you said Jake and Kyle, I expected to see Sanderson and GGK. Great picks over all. I hope you enjoy all of them. I read only Shadows of the Apt out of them and loved it. Looking forward to hear your thoughts on it.
Oooooh super fun that you are doing this again!! I am excited to hear that Empire of Black and Gold has started off strong, especially because I have that as a priority series for this year! And I hope you enjoy all the other picks, I feel like they set you up for a great month. Can't wait for the liveshow already 🤩🤩
Awesome plans Sarah! Emperors Soul is a Cosmere book, but it’s completely standalone. I loved the books of Earthsea, so I’m hoping to branch out and read her sci-fi works.
The Emporer's Soul is good. Some people think it's the best thing Sanderson has ever written. I don't know if I would go that far, but it was good. I really want to read Shadows of the Apt. I'm currently reading the Dagger and Coin series by Daniel Abraham, on book 4 of the Lady Trent memoirs, trying to finish the last two Age of Madness books, and also trying to get through Dungeon Crawler Carl. So, I have no time for Shadows of the Apt at this time.
«The Sarantine Mosaic» is amazing! I belong to those weird people who prefer «Sailing to Sarantium» over «Lord of Emperors» (the prologue alone could have been my favorite short story ever!), infact «Sailing to Sarantium» was my favorite read of 2022! If I am to justify my preference, I found Crispin’s journey both physically and mentally in that novel very uplifting!
I'll be reading 'The Curse of Chalion' this month also, looking forward to it after Jake's hype for it. I'll be interested to see how much you like 'Sailing to Sarantium', it is an amazing book.
This does not sound like a no pressure TBR.😂😂 I might have missed the post about books we want you to read... did i assign you one? 😅 if not i have one in mind...or two.
It’s going well! Sadly with work I have had to choose between reading & recording, but I’m hoping to at least sit down and make a few videos soon. I hope you’re doing well 💜
@@thatsci-firogue things are well, thanks for checking in! Just having a busy summer. Reading some books, hoping to get back to it and have lots to talk about in the Fall. How are you? 🥰
The sarantine mosaic is so good, I hope you love it. And I just read the curse of chalion and it was amazing 😊

What can I say, me and Kyle do good work
@@jakebishop7822 you heard the call and did your duty!
Great choices!
Emperor’s Soul is my favorite of BS’s novellas!
It’s considered a prequel to Elantris. ♥️

I read the Curse of Chalion late last year and then the next one Paladin of Souls. I hope you enjoy. I think it might be a writing style you'll enjoy.
I'm planning on reading the Emperor's Soul this month too. I also don't know what it's about. Hopefully we both like it!
Looking forward to seeing how this plays out! I'm betting Lord of Emperors takes the win for book of the month.
The min you said Jake and Kyle, I expected to see Sanderson and GGK. Great picks over all. I hope you enjoy all of them. I read only Shadows of the Apt out of them and loved it. Looking forward to hear your thoughts on it.
I am somewhat predictable

It would be kinda funny if we just picked something that spoiled Stormlight, but alas we decided to not be mean

Arcanum Unbounded is really good and The Emperor’s Soul is the best story in there, hope you love it!
Any SOTC video planned? I see new books in the background 😊
Excited for you to read Curse of Chalion! One of the first books I read when I was getting back into reading fantasy
So excited!! And yes we shall definitely convene for a chat 😊
I'll be reading 'The Curse of Chalion' this month also, looking forward to it after Jake's hype for it.

I want to start that tchaikovsky series but adding another 10 books series to my plate feels bad
Once you read a couple of the books you’ll wish there were more than 10!!
Tchaikovsky, Hobb and GGK rule, Sanderson drools 🤪
I'm also reading Ship of Destiny and i love it. Almost halfway!
How's the reading going, Sarah?
It’s going well! Sadly with work I have had to choose between reading & recording, but I’m hoping to at least sit down and make a few videos soon. I hope you’re doing well 💜
For the record all books you like were picked by me, and all you don't like were picked by Kyle.
I commented this before Kyle, which means it's true
I cannot argue fax
I hope all is well Sarah?

@@TheBookCure glad things are going well, I was coming by to see if everything was ok too. ❤
One day I may read GGK...but it is not this day. Hope you enjoy!
Sarah, that Sanderson novella about pancakes is honestly so unbelievably cringe and unfunny, you'd *hate* it.
what happened to the channel ?
Just life getting busy, unfortunately! I am hopeful that I can get back to it. I miss making videos!
