I'm getting real tired of these big companies charging a fortune for a box of literal junk. No advent calendar over 30 dollars/pounds should be including button badges and hair ties. This one had a few decent items, but still... Thank you Cherry for opening these and exposing these calendars so the rest of us don't get scammed 😅
It really is a bunch of tat. All the things that could end up in a junk drawer in this box. Definitely not the worth the price and I would've been so disappointed. Thank you Cherry for doing this unboxing for us so we don't waste money!
Here is my advocacy for the devil tho.. If i remember correctly the whole thing cost 80£ pounds, which means each item would have an average cost of 3.33£. In today's enconomy, that doesn't get you really far...
@@kvcp Yeah I considered that, but I find it hard to believe that most of these items costed the company anywhere near that average price per item, especially when they were probably ordered in bulk. @@cherrywallis i just wanna use this comment to point out something, look at the items of the last years advent calendar you will notice some similarities in design and item choice, this makes the calendar seem even more lazy.
@@vexxobex7333 This is because the producers of the products (rather than the sweatshops that make them, where all the cheap junk is made anyway) are both cheap and greedy. Either they should lower the price of that product or substantially improve the content. A few nice looking things seemed to be this Chrismas calendar and the chest/box is reusable, as are the little cardboard boxes that act as calendar slots, if you want to save and reuse them. Otherwise not really seem to be worth the price, and I don't think the coffin/box alone would be worth quite £80 either, I'd say well under. I wouldnt even considered those bracelets "Jewellery". The only jewellery there for me are the earrings. Everything else is just some cheap charms attached to a cheap chain.
The packaging is not free…that was clearly the majority of the budget. It is a detailed reusable, lockable trunk…not a cardboard box that is meant to be disposable.

For real. I've bought the Rituals calendar twice now, and most of the stuff is stuff I actually use, and it only cost slightly more than this Harry Potter one. Sure the bottles are small, but they still last a couple of weeks, or over a month for some of the products before they're empty. That flying key is SOOOOOOOO damn cool! Also omg that trunk was adorable - what a great display item! I can't get over the simple flying key - like you said, a simple but very effective idea to have it fly from the letter!

The presentation/packaging is a solid 9. The things contained within is well suited for a tween-teen girl, and I think they'd probably enjoy it. They did overlook the male fans, and the OG's. There should be 3 different boxes to choose from.
I completely agree! I was watching someone else open this and they said it was one of their better trunks. I don’t feel like the quality of the items matched the price. Thank you for reviewing this!

I’m so happy that it’s advent season already! I’ve been seeing loads of HP calendars this year and I’ve been waiting to see if Cherry will review them. This series brings me great comfort and magical feels ❤️
This one should have listed #1 as the case, #2 the hogwarts letter then the rest as noted. And maybe the Lost Cauldron should work with the Wizarding Trunk on its 2025 advent calendar.
I was expecting more from this calendar. But the pins and the Christmas tree decorations were pretty. Looking forward to what you have in store for us, Cherry!!❤
The elastic from day 8 is the only type I use now. I have incredibly thick hair and they are SO good for us thick haired folks. Mine also has a "charm" (just a black bead on my day to day elastics), I'm not sure what they're for but so far they haven't caused a tangling issue. 🥰
Thank you for introducing me to advent calendars, since they weren't a thing in my country, and especially Harry Potter Lego advent calendar. Bought last year's and happy as a child.
I absolutely loooved the packaging for everything! The trunk was really nice looking and seemed a quality display or storing trinkets in, the little boxes for each day were adorable, and the flying key was an awesome surprise to start the rest of the days off with. The rest of the days were... meh. For myself, I would have been most okayish on potions book button (it looked good for a can button) and the charms for the skelegrow and coin necklaces. The rest was a hard nope and not worth the price. If there was a major sale on it I would get it just for the trunk and little boxes.
Those mini replica Ornaments: if you want to display them outside of christmas time, you can create something Like a small wardrobe because you have those hangers with them 😊
I just saw the trunk online and considered buying this... And you saved me. Thank you Cherry. I'm 35 years old and done with cheap pins. Enamels and wooden badges ok but those cheap ones... oh no.
The box was definitely the best. For the bookmark, I have never found those types of bookmarks to be very practical; they either tend to fall out by themselves or leave unwanted folds/dents in your pages. Thanks for another nice and honest video Cherry!
Oof I was literally feeling anger when you got to the 2nd button badge, and then there was 4!! Ridiculous! Thanks for doing these reviews, I hope companies smarten up and improve on their calendars and stop ripping people off!
Thank you so much for doing this because the amount of money you’re saving us from buying things that have nothing but junk in it is so amazing! It’s so sad to think that you’re going to get a box with a lot of good stuff and then it turns out everything is junk and your money went to waste with only maybe one or two things that are nice
Thanks for putting these out here I love advent calendars and seeing the amazing things I get during the count down celebration it’s been a rough year sometimes for me so these videos make my day brighter
the moment you mentioned the price at begining i thought it's all went to box lol what i learned from your videos through years - if outpackage is nice, insides are trash
2:43 I expect a much higher price. 3:04 the hardware OMG! 3:36 oh wow. That's like the real thing! I knew it was going to be a jump scare from the warning. But I half expected a howler. 5:06 oh a key! 8:34 that's not bad though. Pretty illustration. 9:56 oh that's a nice scrunchie. I would wear that. I like the green gold color. 12:05 that's a fun hair tie. Useful! 13:17 I'm kinda meh about that bracelet. 14:10 hmmm I had higher expectations for the timeturner. Maybe if you wear both bracelets together it will be more effective. 15:46 that's a fun necklace. 16:25 oh a galleon coin necklace is really nice but also much more practical. 17:49 I like that pen. 18:06 only kind of practical but they are 24 for 2.99. 20:19 I'm ok with that bookmark. But I always forget to use them. And just leave my book upside down. Or use the dust cover. 21:57 I've had enough of the button pins. Well I guess I'm a little disappointed. 24:36 oh yeah the box. It's almost worth it for the box. 25:19 good point. I'd be so bummed if I were a boy.
Looove this series you do cherry! Third year watching! 🎄 ✨ The packaging is THERE. it’s magical and gorgeous, the trunk is such a keepsake item itself! And then there was like 5 cute items in there ( the sweater, scarf and golden snitch ornaments. The skelegrow necklace and the keychain. ) but my gosh these companies need to just keep Chibi and button badges out of there!! 😅 unless they advertise it’s in there. They’re so childish and ruin the magic. I think. Agh Can’t wait to watch all month🙌🏻
Except that those brands are ridiculously expensive. And I do not think that the quality is a worth of the price. If I remember correctly, she had a calendar from one of the brands you mentioned (or maybe it was someone else, I could very well be remembering wrong) and the quality of the content wasn't quite worth the price. But I think it was year or several years ago.

Thank you for reviewing this!
saddest part is the trunk is made of Laminated Plywood. (Very cheap and nasty) And you cannot keep it in a humid or damp place nor get it wet or the layers will seperate. Its the wood equivalent of using leather scraps belended with plastic to make 'leather'
I’m so happy that it’s advent season already! I’ve been seeing loads of HP calendars this year and I’ve been waiting to see if Cherry will review them. This series brings me great comfort and magical feels ❤️
Landfill fodder comes to mind.
Sometimes I think they forget that the kids who read the books & saw the movies when they came out are now adults
This one should have listed #1 as the case, #2 the hogwarts letter then the rest as noted. And maybe the Lost Cauldron should work with the Wizarding Trunk on its 2025 advent calendar.
Cherry I absolutely love your honesty! Its so refreshing
If these were all deco for the tree it would have gone a lot better
I can't believe it's been a year since I was binge watching your last series...
Enamels and wooden badges ok but those cheap ones... oh no.
Sirius screaming is how I feel about this advent calendar. The cheap rubber wrist band I let out a deep sigh.
The box was definitely the best. For the bookmark, I have never found those types of bookmarks to be very practical; they either tend to fall out by themselves or leave unwanted folds/dents in your pages. Thanks for another nice and honest video Cherry!
I'm not a jewelry girlie, but I actually like this calendar
I agree..this one was mostly a let down except for a few things....but the luggage box it all came in was super!
Cherry never fails to make my day, I love this series btw :)
You rhyme.
Oof I was literally feeling anger when you got to the 2nd button badge, and then there was 4!! Ridiculous! Thanks for doing these reviews, I hope companies smarten up and improve on their calendars and stop ripping people off!
YAYYYY!!!!!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS CALENDAR 🎉🎉🎉😂
I feel the same way too and for the rest of the month too🎄
Thank you so much for doing this because the amount of money you’re saving us from buying things that have nothing but junk in it is so amazing! It’s so sad to think that you’re going to get a box with a lot of good stuff and then it turns out everything is junk and your money went to waste with only maybe one or two things that are nice
Having the hair bobble ribbed unintentionally looks like the Elder wand.
That's a stretch... 😂
@@cherrywallis hahaha!! 😂😂😂
12:01 its a bracelet 😂🤨
😭😭 I'm so happy to see new calendars . I saw old ones so many times
Thanks for putting these out here I love advent calendars and seeing the amazing things I get during the count down celebration it’s been a rough year sometimes for me so these videos make my day brighter
“It’s giving lazy” and the look on your face🤣
If I looked in The Mirror of Erised I would see myself holding a Cherry Wallis/Lost Cauldron Advent Calander!
That would again be a no on this box. I’m sorry, Cherry! I know you were disappointed. Thanks for sharing! ❤
My daughter loves the Scrunchie from box 6.
my favorite things int his one is the trunck. flying key and the mini sweater and scarf.
The trunk was the best part
The skelegro necklace was my favorite! Followed by the book keyring! The rest was meh 😐
This is really aimed at kids, not adult Harry Potter fans. A 10 year old would love this!
The only nice thing is literally the skelegro necklace and the monster book of monsters
My favourite part of this series is the way you say calendar as ‘cayendar’….sooooo cute! 😊
Thank goodness I don’t have to buy this now - thanks Cherry!
the moment you mentioned the price at begining i thought it's all went to box lol what i learned from your videos through years - if outpackage is nice, insides are trash
Harry Potter gryffindor ⚡ ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Yay! Every day is a good day in advent season 😊😅 I hope your friend joins you for the beauty advent calendars this year, like she did last year 🎉
Cherry is so so funny how she shreds Advent calendars and the lack of them lol lol R.I.P
19:53 the least they could have done is made all the button badges enamel pins 🫡
You should Get a scarf and gather up all the pins that you got over the years and put them on it❤
Looove this series you do cherry! Third year watching! 🎄 ✨
The packaging is THERE. it’s magical and gorgeous, the trunk is such a keepsake item itself! I think. Agh
Can’t wait to watch all month🙌🏻
Cherry, I really want to see you open real luxury advent calendars from actual luxury brands like Chanel, Dior, Hermès...etc.
I don't. There are more TH-camrs doing those and less special themed as ones Cherry is opening.
Thoes advent calendars aren't worth the money
@@Victoria-xo5jh I actually was really satisfied with the Dior calendar . It was really worth every single penny. All the products were in full size & the choices were most amazing. At least, this is my experience.
" 0:29 Look at it LOOK AT IT !no seriously look at the hardware " cherry wallis 😂 love you cherry ❤
@cherrywallis
plz see this comment xxx ❤
The hair slide looks like it's from Primark. Also, people buy mini clothes racks for their desk that you can hook the jumper and scarf over x
Wow.. just... yeah. I'm so glad you did this unboxing. If I had paid 80 for this, I would've been LIVID. These are all so cheap. They remind me of the bubblegum machine jewelry that you could buy with a quarter. The fact that this advent calendar was approved by multiple people before going into production is astounding.
