Thanks for watching.
Thank you!! This is the only video on TH-cam that explains these two ways in a no nonsense thorough way.
Thanks. I was wondering why mine was different from everyone else's! Carbon bike. I'm still having trouble fixing the play in it when I put on the front brake and rock it. The bolt is done up tight.
hey I hope you fixed your problem. if yours is a fsa compression plug. u need to tighten the top cap with a 6mm hex on the top and use a 5mm hex to tighten the assembly. both uses the SAME entry point which is the top cap. in summary, if you slot a 6 mm hex in the top cap. u are tightening the top cap. but if you put a 5mm hex in the top cap u are tightening the compression assembly. I only knew this cos I was having issue and can't figure out until I read fsa manual.
Thank you very much mate :) just fixed my road bike stem cap.
is the removal order loosen stem first, then loosen cap and compression, then remove stem, or is it loosen compression first and then stem (for aluminium tube and stem)? Thanks for great video.
Can the hope head doctor fit modern mtb suspension forks? And would that be a alternate option instead of compression caps?
How to remove star nut?
What one is safer ?
They are both safe if used correctly.
For carbon steerer it’s a piece of shit! With the recomended torque you can crack your steerer tube! Use a longer compressor device!!
