It's pretty common for Firefighters to burn brush in the eventual path of the fire to prevent spreading called "Burning out", and also they sometimes purposefully burn the would-be fuel for the main fire before it reaches said fuel thing is called a "Back-burn".
Man I dropped a lot into playing mvm and most games where people with arounf 500-600 tours being so pushy and rude. I dont understand how these players are fixated on getting their loot when they have already spent gold pan kinda money. I dont uderstand them saying "we want to have fun and get things done quick" dont they realize the other players want fun too? I thought of a solution to this toxicity. Why not instead of that tacobot thing why not make a community for mvm made for finding other players to play with so you can do things the way you want them. Without fun and really fast.

You can't say anything because you're an f2p and then he starts votekick abusing, retry abusing, throwing, etc etc. Basically my experience with mvm. "Only 4 times per server" That's a misinterpretation/wrong description by whoever told you that. The retry command simply disconnects you and then connects again, no limit on how many times you can do it on a server. The 4 times per server bit likely came from how connecting to servers, whether with retry or just a normal connection, always results in 4 attempts by default, and if it can't do that, it gives up and shows an error saying "Failed after 4 attempts" or something along those lines.
No. If you retry more than 4 times in MvM you will eventually get kicked by the server and are not allowed to rejoin. ("this server only allowes ad-hoc connections")
This is not speculation, it's how valve matchmaking works in general, casual, competitive and mvm all have this trait, if you retry to the same server 4 times it will remove your slot from the server, thus not allowing you to reconnect (hence why it says no ad-hoc connection because you don't have a slot in the server anymore)

Honestly, I'm surprised people go on witch-hunting. It does nothing except deepen the pain of each party in the conflict. Best thing to do, as DEWILL said, is to be friendly to everyone. Now, I know that it's not possible every time you play the game. So the second best thing to do is - Ignore them. Pay them no attention, but be vigilant. Don't let trolls kick innocent players by just denying any vote kicks (that does not mean you should always press F2. Depending on the circumstances, those "innocent" players could turn out to be a hacker/abuser. This kind of players deserves to be kicked) and it should be fine. I get what they're trying to achieve. They want to create a means of holding players accountable for how they play in Mann Up MvM which, for some people, is all about efficiency. But the way that they executed this idea was so aggressive and harsh that there was no way it would gain wide adoption in the TF2 community. The thing is: the concept by itself isn't bad. I think that if they decide to go public again, they should re-work it into a sort of "rep list" instead of a kick list. Make a place for people to give positive or negative rep to a person based on good or bad performance. That would go down better with the community than a kick list. After all, we've been using steamrep.com for years.
There's already a site for that that they were using MvMLobby ...it had about the same effect, except the more you looked at tacobot's kicklist it became more obvious all a fair portion of them were about was harassing others

I don't accept ANYTHING these guys say at face value. There were tons of comments from people on the last video who knew Herald as an admin or moderator for a lot of communities, with similar stories of defamity and abuse. These people are sociopath control freaks who constantly strive for positions of power and abuse them. And the first thing they always say when they get caught out is, "woah, I'm so sorry! Gas passer is unreliable cancer weapon, used by an extremely squishy class totally unsuited for mvm. Even at 250 tours, playing pyro even for 1 wave is like gambling for me.

@@mendyshelios0451 I really don't understand what the big deal is with the gas passer and Pyro Himself. It's good without being great, really it was only cancer at launch when you could spam nonstop. It clears medics on giants easly, helps lift some preasure from the time by killing groups of small fries / packs of heavies or soldiers. Meanwhile you have to do most of the work with your primary because the damage is lackluster on anything else and doesn't even affect tanks, wich your flamethrower will melt down. You can reflect crit giants and deal great damage to pretty Munch everything while rendering most bosses useless. You can reset the bomb when things are dire and prevent boss scout rushdowns with your airblast while your team mows their health down. Really the Pyro is one of these fill the gaps class when you have the main classes like medic engineer and heavy in your team. The difference is that he doesn't sucks ass like sniper and spy, and can actually mow down robots with ease just like soldier and demoman can.

Sniper or spy can do it or upgraded soldier/demo? Reseting bomb? Heavy in good position can do it with rage. Tank dmg? Pche... engineer, scout (they are strong in low budget) and again upgraded soldier and demo can do much better job. He is mediocore at everything at end of the day and you can equip Dragon Fury but you will still lack mobility (even with items) and defence. The only moment when i appreciate him is when is airblasting bomb, when team is failing, but unfortunately he is heavy rock to carry when you are playing medic (keep him safe and sound is hard and you will revive them pretty much 20% of the time spent in wave...not joking)

I also found some bots called “MYG0TS” which uses an aimbot hack and they Chatspam some really racist stuff, and yesterday, I found more bots called “Stallman Bots” which also uses aimbot but they are quite trash at hacking, but they also chatspam. I meet this MYG0TS in Casual too, we were able to kick all the 4 of them after a time, but the weird thing it was a brazilian server with a high ping. I'm still confused why they were in a brazilian server and how they managed that...

One more thing I want to add is not just a toxic expert player, but new players without compromise also ruin the MVM ( You mentioned it before, but seems it is not highlighted) one of the problem of noob in MVM is that they don't think themselves as a noob. Why? Since they have played tf2 a long time. Therefore, they don't recognize themselves that they are not good at MVM too. I know that there are some cocky high tour # players in MVM, but also there are so many noobs who do not try to accept advice. To new players in MVM, I know purpose of game is for fun, but sometimes you have to consider whether you are ruining other 5 players fun. Especially Pyro, of course pyro is good class, but usually heavy, demo, or soldier are needed more. As he mentioned in previous video, remember that teamwork is one of the exciting part of MVM.

As a MvM player, I believe that making mistakes, and teaching new players what they did wrong is more fun, because they need to learn what they did wrong, and I believe the teacher in the field is the best teacher. I also believe that having a complete team who doesn't get pushed back from the start of Mannhatten/Rottenburg isn't fun in my opinion, because it is just repetitive, if we do get pushed back, it forces a different strategy, which for me is a lot of fun. TL:DR: Mistakes are good and not having a team full of elitist who knows what they are doing and executing things perfectly is the way I have the most fun in the game
Plan to lose, but try to win! I Pyro in MvM, and it's so crazy when the bots are closing in. What do I do now? What should I do differently? The waves where we win by a close shave are scary yet satisfying and when we fail it always make me think "what could we have done better? " I ask my team and when they talk back we try new plans together. That's fun learning. I once was on a team with some kids, I think teens, and it was amazing how cheerful and motivated they were to do better. Failed so much, LOL. I didn't want to seem a snob (I'm low level Pyro) so I just asked questions about things I saw us missing, and our leader (the only one with a mic...) ASKED the players to try different strategies. When we finished, everyone was sending friend requests to each other!
You know what? Teaching is also good to remind yourself about certain knowledge while passing it to other people (as long it is beneficial to all). So basically it's a win-win condition.

I am quite amazed at my friend who played Tf2 for a week and I introduced him to mvm and he able to pull it off 70% of the time..... I think... newer players need to have an experience party member and communicate to get better and better.... I point him out what is right and wrong... and my friend able to pull it off well. Even worse the first mvm he encountered is Ghost Town... which was quite a challenging map and almost impossible as a new player... we able to go half way through with bunch of new players.... which is a huge progress..... I didnt insult them or anything as I know they are trying their best. I can alrd see that in the performance.... All we have to do... is teach them properly..... dont expect them to get good straight up, slowly teaching him bit by bit. Dont forget. Boot Camp is basically Casual MvM.... You expected to have a bad/new players there.... We just have to make sure that they are on the right direction. I am a Medic main who heals everyone and keep my team alive as long as possible. When I saw a newer player, I have to make sure they have the best of the experience, try to keep them alive is makes me happy.
I know retry can harm MVM sometimes. But I dont think they should remove it. I use it in MVM as well to help the team, I had way too many times that someone just joined the game and the wave was going to start in about 15 sec, A good way to help the person who just joined is to retry and give him the proper time to setup to the wave.

I haven't played mbm in a while, so forgive me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't it be more efficient for the sweaty boys to just make a steam group for the people that are "good" at mbm. Why bother wasting your time playing with someone "blacklisted" when you could just play with people you know are up to your dumb standards. It's like the people doing this are too socially awkward to ask other people to play a game.
As sad as it is you can't stop people from attacking other people easily. So If we can't dull the blade we shall shape it and I refine it to were it will do the least amount of casualties as possible. I propose some rules when dealing with a suspected Taco bot. Rule 1. No harassment or bullying. If we Target them with Angry and toxic messages sure it will take out some of them but it will brushoff if not strengthened others. If a taco bot is attacking you or order innocence. Don't I repeat DON'T call them names or anything just ask them to stop and if they don't kick or ban them. Rule 2. Don't kick or ban all taco bots or people you suspect are taco bots. Some tbs (taco bots) are nice people so don't jump the gun if they are a tb only do something if their being A toxic or b threatening or have kick somebody who hasn't done anything wrong. The last thing we need is people with itchy trigger fingers kicking innocent people who did not deserve to be kick. Rule 3. Diplomacy. If you do come across a tb being toxic try to reason with them to stop what there doing and be nice. If we can make friends out of our enemies that would be much better for everyone than simply stopping them. But if they will not listen to reason then you can kick them. That's all I can think of to help take what I said and tell others and maybe we can do this with the least amount of suffering for both sides as possible.
I was actually able to talk to one of the tacobot members (dont even think I will say who) and I found out that most of them are actually very nice people in the real world they just wanted to take mvm seriously (they were very polite and didnt try to drive me out)

I am not a member of tacobot but I am of the same culture and friends group that runs it. Yes, we are simply very serious players who don't want to waste time. Our goal is to get through the missions painlessly and quickly, for whatever personal goals we have, whether it's just improving skill or farming drops.
I ran into herald11 in an mvm game like a week ago. Me and a buddy both had some tickets we weren’t using and tried to start a two cities tour. My first and his 4th. He comes into our game not talking at all and just shit talking in text chat. We tried to kick him several times but every-time we would get 5 f1s he would leave and come back. All while sitting on his ass not helping during the waves and saying he could solo it as sniper (lol). Dont get why these people take it so seriously that they’d ruin games for others even when outside their groups and not tryharding.

We were doing a Mecha Engie runthrough and around wave 5, a guy named Bayoen decided to try kicking a tour 0 heavy who did nothing wrong and once we got to wave 8, he just went pyro and airblasted the giant back inside just to waste time. The other guys decided to reset it and, low and behold, Bill comes in just to try taunt the server (when everyone else left). It's a shame, I didn't even get put on their website :(
They’re like a plague now. No matter which mode you play you’re bound to bump into at least one member of the clan. And once they fail to have their way with something you may as well find a fresh server cause most of times they’re not going to let you finish the mission
I ran into one just two hours ago in Manhattan. They said it was only one, but at least three of the people on the server were being toxic. The tacobot guy even used a soundboard with crying babies, he’s so pathetic. And of course they did the patented f4 kick. Terrible.

That's a misinterpretation/wrong description by whoever told you that. The retry command simply disconnects you and then connects again, no limit on how many times you can do it on a server. The 4 times per server bit likely came from how connecting to servers, whether with retry or just a normal connection, always results in 4 attempts by default, and if it can't do that, it gives up and shows an error saying "Failed after 4 attempts" or something along those lines.

If you retry more than 4 times in MvM you will eventually get kicked by the server and are not allowed to rejoin. ("this server only allowes ad-hoc connections")
have you done it? If not then you are speculating. There are ways to reset the 4 retry limit but it defeats the purpose of retry spam.

This is not speculation, it's how valve matchmaking works in general, casual, competitive and mvm all have this trait, if you retry to the same server 4 times it will remove your slot from the server, thus not allowing you to reconnect (hence why it says no ad-hoc connection because you don't have a slot in the server anymore)

NOVA a fair amount do, some are toxic, some arnt, but if theyre all partied you wouldn’t really notice. You never see them as you’d never be matched with them, unless you were invited or someone had to leave mid game and they couldn’t get a replacement before someone else joined

Honestly, I'm surprised people go on witch-hunting. It does nothing except deepen the pain of each party in the conflict.
Best thing to do, as DEWILL said, is to be friendly to everyone. Now, I know that it's not possible every time you play the game. So the second best thing to do is - Ignore them. Pay them no attention, but be vigilant. Don't let trolls kick innocent players by just denying any vote kicks (that does not mean you should always press F2. Depending on the circumstances, those "innocent" players could turn out to be a hacker/abuser. This kind of players deserves to be kicked) and it should be fine.

I get what they're trying to achieve. They want to create a means of holding players accountable for how they play in Mann Up MvM which, for some people, is all about efficiency. But the way that they executed this idea was so aggressive and harsh that there was no way it would gain wide adoption in the TF2 community.
The thing is: the concept by itself isn't bad. I think that if they decide to go public again, they should re-work it into a sort of "rep list" instead of a kick list. Make a place for people to give positive or negative rep to a person based on good or bad performance. That would go down better with the community than a kick list. After all, we've been using steamrep.com for years.

There were tons of comments from people on the last video who knew Herald as an admin or moderator for a lot of communities, with similar stories of defamity and abuse. @@mendyshelios0451 I really don't understand what the big deal is with the gas passer and Pyro Himself. It's good without being great, really it was only cancer at launch when you could spam nonstop. It clears medics on giants easly, helps lift some preasure from the time by killing groups of small fries / packs of heavies or soldiers. Meanwhile you have to do most of the work with your primary because the damage is lackluster on anything else and doesn't even affect tanks, wich your flamethrower will melt down. You can reflect crit giants and deal great damage to pretty Munch everything while rendering most bosses useless. You can reset the bomb when things are dire and prevent boss scout rushdowns with your airblast while your team mows their health down.
Really the Pyro is one of these fill the gaps class when you have the main classes like medic engineer and heavy in your team. The difference is that he doesn't sucks ass like sniper and spy, and can actually mow down robots with ease just like soldier and demoman can.
@@drizzziit1 Lets say, we are not playing boot camp but potato Expert and there it is. Every class can do better job at one thing that pyro is doing. He is mediocore at everything - Killing medics? Sniper or spy can do it or upgraded soldier/demo? Reseting bomb? Heavy in good position can do it with rage. Tank dmg? Pche... engineer, scout (they are strong in low budget) and again upgraded soldier and demo can do much better job. He is mediocore at everything at end of the day and you can equip Dragon Fury but you will still lack mobility (even with items) and defence. The only moment when i appreciate him is when is airblasting bomb, when team is failing, but unfortunately he is heavy rock to carry when you are playing medic (keep him safe and sound is hard and you will revive them pretty much 20% of the time spent in wave...not joking)

I know that there are some cocky high tour # players in MVM, but also there are so many noobs who do not try to accept advice.
To new players in MVM, I know purpose of game is for fun, but sometimes you have to consider whether you are ruining other 5 players fun.
Especially Pyro, of course pyro is good class, but usually heavy, demo, or soldier are needed more.
As he mentioned in previous video, remember that teamwork is one of the exciting part of MVM.
Honestly i think these tacobot people deserve it. Treat people as they treat you.

As a MvM player, I believe that making mistakes, and teaching new players what they did wrong is more fun, because they need to learn what they did wrong, and I believe the teacher in the field is the best teacher. I also believe that having a complete team who doesn't get pushed back from the start of Mannhatten/Rottenburg isn't fun in my opinion, because it is just repetitive, if we do get pushed back, it forces a different strategy, which for me is a lot of fun.
TL:DR: Mistakes are good and not having a team full of elitist who knows what they are doing and executing things perfectly is the way I have the most fun in the game
Plan to lose, but try to win! I Pyro in MvM, and it's so crazy when the bots are closing in. What do I do now? What should I do differently? The waves where we win by a close shave are scary yet satisfying and when we fail it always make me think "what could we have done better? " I ask my team and when they talk back we try new plans together. That's fun learning. I once was on a team with some kids, I think teens, and it was amazing how cheerful and motivated they were to do better. Failed so much, LOL. I didn't want to seem a snob (I'm low level Pyro) so I just asked questions about things I saw us missing, and our leader (the only one with a mic...) ASKED the players to try different strategies. When we finished, everyone was sending friend requests to each other!
You know what? Teaching is also good to remind yourself about certain knowledge while passing it to other people (as long it is beneficial to all). So basically it's a win-win condition.

I get the idea of tacobot. They want to get through their missions quick and clean. But the way they dealt with people who were clueless to the game was the stick in the mud. They used racial and homophobic slurs which did not help their case in any way shape or form.

I am quite amazed at my friend who played Tf2 for a week and I introduced him to mvm and he able to pull it off 70% of the time..... I think... newer players need to have an experience party member and communicate to get better and better.... I point him out what is right and wrong... and my friend able to pull it off well. Even worse the first mvm he encountered is Ghost Town... which was quite a challenging map and almost impossible as a new player... we able to go half way through with bunch of new players.... which is a huge progress..... I didnt insult them or anything as I know they are trying their best. I can alrd see that in the performance.... All we have to do... is teach them properly..... dont expect them to get good straight up, slowly teaching him bit by bit. Dont forget. Boot Camp is basically Casual MvM.... You expected to have a bad/new players there.... We just have to make sure that they are on the right direction. I am a Medic main who heals everyone and keep my team alive as long as possible. When I saw a newer player, I have to make sure they have the best of the experience, try to keep them alive is makes me happy.

I know retry can harm MVM sometimes. But I dont think they should remove it. I use it in MVM as well to help the team, I had way too many times that someone just joined the game and the wave was going to start in about 15 sec, A good way to help the person who just joined is to retry and give him the proper time to setup to the wave.

You kind of ask to much of the tf2 community. They (as of now) act like starved animals, (no offense.) so they are going to be rabid and angry, especially since the bot and hacker problem has been so rampant.
Plus, you should *always* be expected for the community to do the opposite of what you ask them to. It’s what happened with IHE fans when derak savage copyrighted his videos, even though IHE told them not too.

I haven't played mbm in a while, so forgive me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't it be more efficient for the sweaty boys to just make a steam group for the people that are "good" at mbm. Why bother wasting your time playing with someone "blacklisted" when you could just play with people you know are up to your dumb standards. It's like the people doing this are too socially awkward to ask other people to play a game.

As sad as it is you can't stop people from attacking other people easily. So If we can't dull the blade we shall shape it and I refine it to were it will do the least amount of casualties as possible. I propose some rules when dealing with a suspected Taco bot. Rule 1. No harassment or bullying. If we Target them with Angry and toxic messages sure it will take out some of them but it will brushoff if not strengthened others. If a taco bot is attacking you or order innocence. Don't I repeat DON'T call them names or anything just ask them to stop and if they don't kick or ban them. Rule 2. Don't kick or ban all taco bots or people you suspect are taco bots. Some tbs (taco bots) are nice people so don't jump the gun if they are a tb only do something if their being A toxic or b threatening or have kick somebody who hasn't done anything wrong. The last thing we need is people with itchy trigger fingers kicking innocent people who did not deserve to be kick. Rule 3. Diplomacy. If you do come across a tb being toxic try to reason with them to stop what there doing and be nice. If we can make friends out of our enemies that would be much better for everyone than simply stopping them. But if they will not listen to reason then you can kick them. That's all I can think of to help take what I said and tell others and maybe we can do this with the least amount of suffering for both sides as possible.
I was actually able to talk to one of the tacobot members (dont even think I will say who) and I found out that most of them are actually very nice people in the real world they just wanted to take mvm seriously (they were very polite and didnt try to drive me out)

I am not a member of tacobot but I am of the same culture and friends group that runs it. Yes, we are simply very serious players who don't want to waste time. Our goal is to get through the missions painlessly and quickly, for whatever personal goals we have, whether it's just improving skill or farming drops.
I ran into herald11 in an mvm game like a week ago. Me and a buddy both had some tickets we weren’t using and tried to start a two cities tour. My first and his 4th. He comes into our game not talking at all and just shit talking in text chat. We tried to kick him several times but every-time we would get 5 f1s he would leave and come back. All while sitting on his ass not helping during the waves and saying he could solo it as sniper (lol). Dont get why these people take it so seriously that they’d ruin games for others even when outside their groups and not tryharding.

I finally had a run in with a tacobot.tf sweat in MVM just recently. We were doing a Mecha Engie runthrough and around wave 5, a guy named Bayoen decided to try kicking a tour 0 heavy who did nothing wrong and once we got to wave 8, he just went pyro and airblasted the giant back inside just to waste time. The other guys decided to reset it and, low and behold, Bill comes in just to try taunt the server (when everyone else left). It's a shame, I didn't even get put on their website :(
They’re like a plague now. No matter which mode you play you’re bound to bump into at least one member of the clan. And once they fail to have their way with something you may as well find a fresh server cause most of times they’re not going to let you finish the mission
I ran into one just two hours ago in Manhattan. They said it was only one, but at least three of the people on the server were being toxic. The tacobot guy even used a soundboard with crying babies, he’s so pathetic. And of course they did the patented f4 kick. Terrible.
Meme Factory So long as they continue to kick and scare the new generation of players for dumb reasons, they’re only going to kill MvM much faster I’m afraid. Shame since it’s the only thing I stick around for. I’m hoping one day maybe Valve will step in and do something outside of community ban some of the members. Least they’re no longer able to trade on most sites.

Tacobot.tf is a flawed system that prioritizes one way to play and prevents the essence of tf2's learning curve to take place, and undermines the beauty of the game, being that people are able to learn from it.
