Soo - an Sharp ACE/INNOVA with a bigger strock volume in the pump, longer pump lever, a belleville spring valve regulator and a micro air chamber - which is obviously bigger then the stated 2mm... The only big thing here is the smaller air chamber, also making it single strock, yet limits the possible available air volume and leaving operation pressure as only tuning variable. So it only power control is the belleville spring valve, adding tension will increase the needed pump power yet while increasing pressure along. A 12 to 18ftlb jump might go unnoticed to the human tester due to the long lever and technique but a scale should show it clearly the invested forces rise with the increase of power output. I sure like the fitures that you pointed out too but such a concept shouldn't cost much more then what it improving on and resembles - a 12ftlb Sharp rifle.
If anyone wants a single stroke pneumatic then look out for a second hand Parker Hale Dragon. I picked one up last year for £300. It was in mint condition with a lovely walnut stock. They are built to an extremely high quality & people tend to look after them so pretty much any you find will be in good condition. Nobody has come close to beating this gun yet.
rrc7t3 bang on my friend, I have a Parker hale dragon in.22 FAC, and it puts your 1600£ daystates, AA,edgun, FX, etc to many to mention but Parker hale dragon, mine was bough second hand in 1988 for £180 still shoots like new beautiful gun, better with a weirach efficiency modarator!
Actually, the designers disagree with you! There are fewer O-rings in this set-up - and there's not only less pressure on them than a PCP's, but there's also hardly any movement on the parts that deploy them. The designer has also had this rifle running at 19ft/lb with the same type of cocking effort (although that required a modified internal set-up).
@moparman240 Well... BREAKING NEWS (Jan 2012)... although Project Paradigm ultimately got shelved by Webley, the designer has teamed up with another gunmaker, improved it still further... and we could be seeing a reincarnation of this gun by mid-2012!
You would think so, but its not to be, it seems mate. A friend of mine drew the exact same parallel a few months ago as you have made here. I dont understand the physics, but it can't be that difficult for those who DO have the expertise, and it can't be that the realisation of such a concept should end up being so ludicrously price tagged.
Somebody needs to buy this patent and make this gun I would buy it for sure . I have the Izh 46m 10 meter pistol and the cocking arm is exactly like it and it produced 430 fps and its a pistol ,you would think someone would make a single pump rifle that could double 430 fps .If they are not going to make it they should sell it and let someone else make it its such a waste . Does anyone know why they dropped it .
"Patented Air Acceleration System" consisting of conical disc springs? Nothing new there, ever seen a Walther LGR piston? Same idea with conical disc springs ;-) I'll look out for it in the shops in 2010 :D
Hi Nigel. So, what ever happened to the Paradigm ? Did it ever get produced, &, if so, under that name ? Got an older .22 Raider (no dual shot tray, tho) that is great, so, if it's anything like the Raider, accuracy wise (with maybe a bit more shot count... haha)... I'd DEF be interested. Kind regards, SK DauWD.
Like every other double or single stroke pneumatic ever made, it probably doesnt work, and I tried a few - the Parker Hale, The Daystate, The Old Falcon. Fraught with internal gremlins and modest power output. Maybe no-one has got it right yet simply because it cant be done? And the UK price for the FX Independent is up around 1100 quid? Don't hold your breath.
Ok The most Important question of all didnt he come even close to answering !!? HOW FAST IS IT ? I would think that the first think one should have in mind when reviewing a gun or air gun should be how fast it is, or how strong it is....!!!?
Single stroke only ! what happens on very hot days when air is thin pressure will be low and give poor performance, colder the air the more you get in should have a blow off valve fitted to compensate for air temp diffrences, that why a tank would be better, But I like the idea if the gun is strong and reliable
@moparman240 HOT NEWS!!! You may well be seeing this rifle - vastly improved upon - in full production during 2012. Keep an eye on my other channel - AirgunTV - as I've been promised a first look... so make sure you subscribe to AirgunTV :)
Atentamente.
@BigRooster747 See my reply to @moparman240. Due to all their previous problems, Webley's new UK agent, Highland Outdoors, decided to shelve the project.
They are thinking exactly as the technology was 50 yrs ago. Until they completely start fresh, (out of the box) I don't think this type of technology is going to be very productive. Looks like they are on their way, just haven't hit their destination yet.
sooner or later these kind of valve are going to wear and fail and cause air leaks PCP`s are much more reliable and powerful but this has a very nice advantedge of not having to refill ur gun every few shots
The Russians produced the IZH46m a single pump 500 fps 10 meter competition pistol that is same hole accurate for 250.00 when I got mine . But webley can't figure out how to make there for under 1,000 dollar? So they gave up and scrapped project . There has got to be a air gun company that can come up with a single pump 800 fps gun . How hard could it be ? The Russians made the 500 fps single pump pistol 23 years ago .
+Anthony Perella 1250 fps but only if you use very light and completely useless ammo, using good viable ammo and your looking around the 850 fps mark, you fell for the hype then !
+hunter100t bro ive felled many many squirrels with my gun and no my gun shoots tracers, destroyer EX's, and anything in .177 and im saying with shitty pellets it cranks out 1250. with quality rounds it shoots like 1340 or so
Man would I love to find one of these in the USA 💞
Well, Nigel! We’re still waiting 😄
We all are! Never did make it into production. Never will, sadly.

Well what happened???
And history shows?.....
Who else got this on reception after 12 years
Where have you been ? Hope you are well ! Do miss your programming !!!!!
thanks for your awesome airguns videos... I really love all of them! keep uo the GREAT work!

That's some incredibly beautiful walnut.
It really really works
@r3mote FULL POWER - 12 ft lbs... though most will be set around 11.2ft lbs
@kardredren No. This was a prototype stock, anyway. It's fine on the production one.

did he mention fps, I didn't notice it if he did... full power ?!?
My Weihrauch HW40 has worked just fine for years and it is not even expensive
I can not see why making a rifle with that mechanism is so hard
Hi Nigel. So, what ever happened to the Paradigm ? Did it ever get produced, &, if so, under that name ?

How can I purchase one of these I'm in the United States
Ok The most Important question of all didnt he come even close to answering !!? HOW FAST IS IT ? I would think that the first think one should have in mind when reviewing a gun or air gun should be how fast it is, or how strong it is....!!!?
+Bisholi M It's 'full-powered' which, in the UK, means 12ft/lb (16J). Roughly 800fps in.177 and 600fps in .22.
Thank you Brother. You left me hanging during the video :) Thank you again :)
If I could find any full power songle stoke I would buy it.
Single stroke only ! what happens on very hot days when air is thin pressure will be low and give poor performance, colder the air the more you get in

Pressure regulators for all pcp: How it works:
AIRGUN PCP
Amazing
It doesn't use hammer like old airgun to hit the valve? So how is the valve work?
Does the safety lever rub on the stock? (the stock looked damaged)
Where can this rifle be purchased from? As I've searched online and can't find it anywhere as of yet.
Apparently it never made it to production...

its nearing the end of 2016 now so are they any closer to production im a bit fed up now of waiting
Pellet guns are not supposed to be so complicated, this is just to make business
