- In this video, I continue my series ranking the top 50 pinball machines, and today I’m taking a closer look at 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'. This widebody pinball machine, designed by the legendary Steve Ritchie and released by Williams Electronics in November 1993, is a true classic from the SuperPin series (also including The Twilight Zone and Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure*). Based on the iconic TV series, *Star Trek: The Next Generation stands out with its unique gameplay and is the only pinball machine to feature three separate highscore lists.
I’ll be diving into the shots, rules, callouts, and overall gameplay of this incredible three-flipper pinball machine. Join me as I break down what makes this machine so special and why it deserves a spot on my top 50 list!

STTNG is my favorite pinball of all time not because I consider it the greatest table ever, but because of nostalgia and my enduring love for STTNG.
You don’t have to know a thing about Marvel to discuss/rate Deadpool! You own the game, play it a lot, and love it - make a video. No idea what crazies are trying to gatekeep marvel fandom or something.
Honestly mate, it's not worth it. I had some very nasty messages and personal insults. I clearly go a few things wrong with comics, understanding of X-Men and mainstream popularity . . . in essence making the video stopped being fun and clearly angered people so best left alone. It happened with Venom too so quite clear what the common factor is.
@@GonzosPinballFlipperamait’s so disappointing to hear that was your experience mate, I’m personally a huge marvel fan but there’s just need for negativity. Sad a few folks ruin it for you and for everyone else. Appreciate your videos and the way that you approach discussing things, thanks for your efforts 👏👏
I have also got to add I love almost every Ritchie pin with his tried and tested layout STTNG included and now we have Elton in the fold I would go so far to say it’s his GOAT
Always wanted this pin for years. One day it will happen. Surprisingly it’s stayed about the same price for awhile.
Had to replay the part when you said “rank off your pinball machines”
I know you are passionate Kris but that did make me think maybe a little too much. 😂
😂😂 My pinball machine get a lot of affection Col mate
Great video Kris. Love a bit of STTNG. It can be a very Marmite game, but I enjoy it. The video mode can be super useful once you learn the pattern, has helped me out in a few comps.
I forgot all about the video mode . . . it's a good one but you have to learn the route
always enjoy these. Thanks for doing these. I was wondering game do you find yourself hesitating to review do to having a controversial take on? Looking forward to see where lord of the rings rate.
Hi Steve, probably Maiden mate . . . I keep putting it off. 😬

Space is why I sold my STTNG. Yep I miss the game of course. Alfie didn’t want it to go but something had to leave for another game to arrive, and that was Cactus Canyon.
Top 50 looking great. A few pins I’m wondering where you will place them when the time comes.
Looking forward to the next game going up as always.
Great work Gonzo
Thanks Alan mate, I'll get some more up next week mate.
That was the easiest way to keep Gozilla in your ten as you said you would. I like you am a big trekkie, I think I have watched most of the various series 3 times as well, although I much prefer DS9 to Voyager. Great episode, like many I really want one now. Please space out those magnetic strips, its really setting me off.
My friend, I apologise in advance for the magnetic strips on the next video TNA 😉
This is a game I always thought I should like more than I do. I think what bugs me is that the probe launcher shots feel too important. Pinball is hard enough when it's just the flippers' shots you have to learn.
Looking forward where u put pulp fiction and tna on the list.
Thanks Daniel, perhaps I'll look to do TNA soon because there are no Spooky games there.
@0:16 Good thing you're not Jonathan Ross 😂🤣😜 Poo Fighters fans won't be too pleased...
😂😂😂
Deadpool pro vs premium for 2.5k more? Is the pro the far better bang for the buck?
Get the premium
I don't like doing these for games pre covid increase because it wasn't designed that way. For instance, I got my DPLE shipped to me NIB for 8.5k US. That's $1200 below current premium pricing.
@007bondson1 Honestly, if money is no object then get the Prem for the orbit. For me personally I'd rather have the pro and 2.5k towards another game
I've been waiting to see where deadpool would go, that's a bummer you didn't want to talk abou it
Honestly . . . I have talked about it plenty, it's an amazing game and I will do more gameplay videos on it. I promise.
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama would you recommend it for someone who can only afford one pinball at home?
Thought you liked Champ tut tut 😂😂
😂
I'd rank STTNG above every game on your list.
I'm 67, so I played STTNG when it came out in the arcade. I didn't like ST:TOS at all, but fell in love with STTNG because of this game. I've never lost my love of this game and it is still in my top 5 of all-time.
I can't fathom what went wrong in someones life where their day is ruined because a content creator may have gotten a thing or two wrong about Marvel lore. It's all fantasy. Get over it.
