The game is absolutely bloody gorgeous. Rhys Coopers art, especially on the LE cab, is jaw dropping and the improvements in the magnets, modes, music, callouts and video. This is money in the bank.
Here I thought X-Men LE looked phenomenal! Metallica LE is a work of art. It’ll feel like a brand new game, even though it’s rather old. Stern hit a grand slam with this.
My first reaction to this news was, "Oooh, this might lead to some great deals on the original table!". My second reaction was, "Stop pretending you're not still terrified to buy a pinball machine"
@@skippychurch2965 For somebody that got into the hobby in 2022, it is kind of maddening that a lot of the best themes were made decades ago or are sold out now and not being re-run. I want a chance of owning a new LoTR, Tron, Pirates, etc. I don't want to pay 10-20k for used / outdated machines...
They’d have to re-license and pay through the nose again to re-release them. Stern paid $2M to make Beatles. Pretty sure they won’t go down that path again. Also, Lars and James approached Stern directly to update and remaster the game. Apparently they were so impressed with Rush that they wanted to make it super pumped out and upgraded.
LE'S are supposed to be limited. When you keep rereleasing it's good for the factory but theirs nothing limited about it. Hurts the buyers of the original supposed limited machines. Call it something else but not limited because it's not. Shame shame stern 💵
In regards to the title, yes they can lose, as this is the LE that stern wouldn't make again, as in after Jurrasic Park lashback, we heard "we won't re-release anymore LEs to honor our current LE customers values, and commitment to our products". Well those customers just got JP'd again. And the premium has better colors and art yet again in my opinion. Screw the pro buyers, sorry you lower class buyers don't deserve this game!
@mrfuriouser so it's OK to give stern a pass? I'd say their class is far lower than me pointing out the truth? Nothing classier than a reply that denies something a company points out, but can't be repeated by the guys who mooch content off of their product. That is a far lesser being than repeating a line that guarantees customers their hard earned dollars won't be pissed away. I didn't say it, stern did. The truth hurts huh?
I mentioned this to the ppl on pinside as well. It was a play on words. What they said is they wouldn't rerun an LE of a LCD game that was currently in production. This is a remake/remaster of a DMD game. So they didn't lie, but yeah, like Dave Chappelle says, gotcha bitch!
@@peggrav8190they will release a pro down the line wait and see.... And when they do it's 7K not exactly peanuts... So in my eyes if you're going to go 7K save a little money.. maybe birthday money from your mommy.. and then get the premium....hehe....
This looks absolutely incredible. Metallica is a game that deserved this kind of treatment.

A rerelease that makes sense. Big day for pinball!
My dream machine! And my favorite band! Anyway LE ordered yesterday 12h01 👊
Thanks Gonzo for the great take and commentary. I appreciate your candor on pinball in general. Cheers from the US. That LE is really beautiful 🤟
Hi Henry, thanks so much for the kind words sir
1000 callouts in the new Metallica. I love callouts 🙂

$13k for a LE? That’s nuts
Dude that's standard
@@RBPhantomTiltFar too much. Can buy a used car for that.
Metallica is the most modded pin stern has if u own one your not gonna go get one I think it's great for someone who doesn't have one to get it
Never owned a pinball machine before
Just bought 3 stern new machines
Jaws pro
Xmen pro
Godzilla 70th
Wow Rob . . . you have jumped in at the deep end mate
I even went in Blind on this one in LE flavour and dam they went above and beyond anything I ever expected. Totally Stoked cant wait to take delivery.
I don't usually like Metallica music, but the LE is simply badass.
Same boat and actually landed an LE if that says something
LE sold out in a BLINK. Thanks for the video Gonzo
Hey mate, sorry for the delay in replying . . . I'm not surprised they sold out

😂😂 Love that reaction John
Do you have the actual 22 song list? Cant seem to find it anywhere and no response from Stern.
Very cool LE art
Why won't they release a "remastered" Tron or LoTR? Do they not like making tons of money?! I DON'T GET IT. Is it Disney?
Agreed. Everyone that wanted a Metallica bought one. LOTR would sell better for them

The artwork needs album references from 83-91. With their heyday album artwork, I think it would've sold out within hours of release.

Pure class. Your mother must be proud.
