Same sentiments and to wonder what it was like. The smoke, the herds of Bison, Bears around to track, the ladders to climb up and up to the Pent House suite. The weather and food preparations, fires, etc. My mind always contemplates this as well. I see more through prayer and fasting. I get more answer of clarity with prayer and fasting too. Great comment. Hugs from Navajo Grandma

That is awesome! Thank you, Navajo Grandma for taking us along. At 13:50 the huge split rock on the left really resembles the rock Moses struck with his staff that split and brought water for the Israelites. That rock by the way is in what today is modern day Saudi Arabia. Fascinating!

@MelissaLake-pe9wq I get way too excited to see the Patina and the canyon we had never been too. But, if you noticed these are canyons the Fremont Indians chose to travel to, to live being protected and prospering way up above. There use to be herds of bison thick along these canyons and landscape thus it was perfect long ago. I wish I could peek back into the past to see what it really looked like
And to see the people, how they lived, got water and so forth. Wouldn't it be something else!! I dream a lot and thanks for being excited with me. That overhang was scary standing under it as it is over thousands of years old and my knees got weak being there. Then my spirit humbled sering the pictographss so holy & precious. The crazy one is that rainbow way way atop these pictures, wow. They must've repelled someone to draw that needed covenant that it was that important this over all prayer wall with teachings of life and death... hugs from Navajo Grandma

@MelissaLake-pe9wq Well thank you for coming along with Grandma & grandpa. It was just like driving in a picture postcard. Then humbled at the end with the sacred pictograph. Truly Fremont Indians counseling & teaching is to pray always, that life after this does continue, telling us to pay attention, remember God and all the Holy Ones, they are your strength in life's path. It sent chills upon me how loving they were helping us from the year 900AD to the present 2024. Remember. Hugs from Navajo Grandma

Try driving a truck down that road. LOL! So good to have your comment. I was in Gallup, NM and this guy tall and looked like a truck driver. He stared at me for a bit, when I looked back he turned and looked at stuff like all the turquoise jewelry. I was at my friend, Perry Nulls Trading Post. Remember this guy is blond and on his shirt it said, "I CAN NOT LOVE YOU ANY MORE THAN I DO RIGHT NOW" I think it was a turquoise looking shirt. He was with his wife and he always had his hand on her back and walked with her. I swear I told gpa, now I would see Ricart my subscriber just like this guy. He was buying something for his wife. We over heard that he was going to a family Reunion. But that guy made me think of you as he was so kind and loving to his wife. I hope you know you are awesome. Tell your dear wife hello. I have become his caretaker so I live in my world of joy, songs, prayers & serving. I have been given much as I too love to give of my time talents & abilities. So is life. I sing & sing & drive. BOY YOU HIT THAT ONE ON THE NAIL HEAD. Great comment and yes, I love America, the land of the free. I weep when I say the Pledge of Allegiance. When I was in Japan and during the parade I saw a man drag our flag. I ran down there, I grabbed the flag from him and told him, I would carry it. Because I did, I was contacted by the Prime Minister whom I had a wonderful chat with in Japanese and with an interpretor. I sang for him in Navajo, I danced a Hawaiian dance, "the Hukilau," LOL for him. He was so amazed and complimentary. I was taken back to my apartment what they call a Mansion and was walked to the door with an escort. When I was asked why I did what I did, I explained our symbolism of freedom, that many men died for this country, that the symbolism is sacred and powerful to us. No matter where we are, we honor our USA with love, respect and honor. My dad fought in WWII and he was impressed I felt so deeply. l explained the difference between Communism and Freedom. That communism encroaching upon us right now, right here. God be with us to see and understand this. Being aware, researching, not allowing the media to feed us lies, but to know for ourselves thru prayer and research is our strength. Hugs from Navajo GRandma

What an amazing place! I feel like I should take a road trip there, now, too. Those paintings, that prayer wall, it makes you wonder if the gods back then warned those people to pray always not so much for those times, but for ours. If we humans hadn't lost sight of God and all the good land made just for us, I don't think the world would be in the state it's in today.
And those rocks alone are equally fascinating! Some of it looks like it was cut, like when we cut bread or butter. That wall, however it was made, was a perfect place to paint prayers at. Your drive there was so beautiful.

@E.o.t.4637 GREAT LOVES TO YOU MORE AS WELL!! I TELL PEOPLE, I DONT KNOW HOW TO LIE, THE WAY MY PATERNAL NAVAJO GPA & GMA RAISED ME. STORIES LIKE CAIN & ABLE. GOD REVEALS TO CAIN HE KNEW ALL THE TIME HE HAD KILLED ABLE THUS HIS CURSE WAS TO ROAM THE WORLD ALONE UNTIL THE COMING OF CHRIST. As a child stories like that makes it's imprint on a formative mind. So I refuse to ever feel guilt but got in trouble for honesty too along the way. Now I know the difference. If someone says "am I ugly." You change the subject & find other complimentary gifts the person has. As truly it's not our looks, it is truly what is within. That is truth that blessed my dear friend as looks meant nothing. Do u get what I mean. We need to handle each other like God would. So endearing, so kind even when you are at the end of your rope. It all works for the good of everyone. Wow a new subscriber!! Welcome and welcome againl! I get so excited I start to make mistakes typing. How wonderful!! I always tell my new grandchildren is whom you become, to "come sit down by grandma and watch, listen and learn," it is not always fun but mostly, I love to share my Navajo culture and traditions as well as share some other tribal culture and traditions, tell about other tribal chiefs and some of what they do." I love my native american upbringing, like I tell others, if you live the true way of a Native American, it is a sober, thankful, respectful, humble, happy walking in beauty, peace, balance and harmony life that I learned and more from my Paternal Nali (grandfather). I have fun and hope what I share with you all will strengthen you, lift you, give you hope and understanding us natives, as well as that prayer becomes a great strength in your life as well as fasting to help give you clarity and understanding the spirit. Mostly, may you learn that you are needed here, that you are wanted, that you matter here, even though we are online, we are human, we all breath, we eat, we have need to be needed and you shall. I always answer all my comments, I love doing that even when it takes hours because that is how I come to understand you, as you share your thoughts, but as soon as anyone calls me awful names and says bad things, I have a powerful DELETE button. There is not room for this, but we also agree to disagree too. Respect is greatest as we all do not think, eat, pray, socialize or do things like another but it is always wonderful to learn more about humanity. Thank you for subscribing, welcome my grandchild. Now you can truly say, "I have a Navajo Grandmother." It will be true. Hugs and loves to you. Navajo Grandma

Attitude: a state of attention. Prayer calls out the selection desired by the state of attention. Day by day the prayer seen etched into a mountain is projected by attentive expectation. Result completes the state of attention to be repeated with a renewed attitude of purpose and its process of power that puts the attitude to work again.

So beautiful. Holy Hannah is right! 😍I wish I was there too! Do you feel the spirit’s presence there? It would behoove us to listen to the Fremont people! I hope to visit places such as this someday.
I’m kind of obsessed with Kokopelli. Can you talk a bit about this figure? I don’t see a lot of info on him out there.

Fertility: Kokopelli is a fertility deity who presides over childbirth and agriculture.
Trickster: Kokopelli is also a trickster god.
Music: Kokopelli represents the spirit of music.
Good fortune: According to legend, Kokopelli brings good fortune and prosperity to anyone who listens to his songs.
Rain: Kokopelli is associated with rain.
Spring: Kokopelli is said to chase away winter and bring about spring.
Game animals: Kokopelli is said to preside over the reproduction of game animals.
Kokopelli is often depicted as a humpbacked flute player, sometimes with feathers or antenna-like protrusions on his head. Petroglyph carvings of Kokopelli date back thousands of years and can be found in many places, including West Mesa, Canyon del Chelly, and Chaco Canyon

That is awesome! Thank you, Navajo Grandma for taking us along. At 13:50 the huge split rock on the left really resembles the rock Moses struck with his staff that split and brought water for the Israelites. That rock by the way is in what today is modern day Saudi Arabia. Fascinating!

      @NavajoGrandma  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I love the way you commented & shared what came to your mind about the break in the rock regarding Moses. That said, because Moses showed questionable faith he could not enter the land of promise. Plus if you have seen the water that came forth was not a simple trickle but a river. Our friend saw that and said, of course as it had to give hydration to tons of children of Israel. Thank you for reminding us. Loved your comment. Hugs, Navajo Grandma
