God Bless you Ms. Navajo Grandma, In the early 90's I experienced Navajo sweat lodges in northern california, so much that I began building sweat lodges in the sacramento area. This was a long time ago. I would love nothing more than to revisit the culture. I currently live in Oklahoma city, I would so much love to get back to celebrating mother earth. Thank you so much for you time!

Well said! and yes it was quite an adventure I believe to have live back then when there was nothing but vegetation, animals and horseback riding and wagons were the main means of transportation. You also need to remember that more vegetation that was edible grew back then. My Nali has spoken of the different foods that were made long ago that were so nutritious he would say and wipe a tear saying we long for the foods of yesterday that were so healthy and delicious not what we eat now. My dear Laura, thank you for contributing and I reverenced yesterday and for days standing in front of my people sharing my platform in Dine' Bizaad, then writing it out in Dine', which made everyone amazed that I could do this. The Master of Ceremonies spoke in disbelief, and explained, not only does she speak Dine' she writes it and none of us can do that. Her expressions of love for us as she went away, learned, now coming back to lead. Seriously, I could have dropped and wept as there were few because of this scare again of the big sickness & our present President who is running again for his seat has warned to wear masks and the Chapter houses were locked and closed. Mine was opened and the few who came were happy, we fed them, my subscriber from Chinle where Canyon de Chelly is, or even the one in the video you saw volunteered to drive across the Nation to cook for my Chapter meeting with her friends and family. I wept. You can't thank those with such spirit and love enough. I pray for them profusely. Thank you to all who contributed as the signs are beautiful, the business cards are lovely and I am invited to a Presidential Forum this Sunday, allowing each candidate 20 minutes to speak their platform. I explained also at the beginning, I will not take a salary for what I do for my people, its like asking a mother to be paid to teach her children and a grandmother to be paid. It is true love, devotion, giving of one's self TO SERVE, not to be paid in such a holy calling as Navajo Nation President. I also said I will donate my salary to all the Chapter houses one after another so as President my salary will pay for food, and the needs that we all in a chapter can gather, to eat together, to talk amongst each other as each chapter has different problems, that I can sit among them to hear and truly listen. It is the strength of a leader not to babble and talk, but TO LISTEN, truly listen that my people will know I love them and care about them. No NN President has ever done this. I also said, I have never worked as a politician or tainted working in the Navajo Nation Gov't, but as a female, a mother, a grandmother, it is my duty to stand up and be counted as I am learned thru the spirit, taught by my Nali and Bizhi as they raised me, my strengths are of the spirit and I have divine guidance with common sense and I have met with more Washington DC senators and congressmen than any of these sitting in their seats in the NN Council or Presidency, as I spoke with these leaders in D.C. for laws that were being passed that I disagreed with that had a huge cause and effect in the lives of any Native American tribes. Then I worked with every Federally Recognized and State Recognized tribes, what a wonderful example it would be when I become the NN President to truly make the Nation Sovereign which we are not now, but will be thru my learning, researching and knowing how to accomplish this. Then we as a people can let go of Congress, and work within our own boundary to build, to created jobs to pave our dirt roads, drill for water so everyone can have water from the aquafers below, to take our natural resources and create an economy for all with love, respect and holiness. That while the USA is wallowing in inflation, we shall be an example of strength, economy, fortitude, and way more than we have now which is the bones of poverty still hanging around. We are more than that. I expressed my love for my Nali and Bizhi whom they knew and many wer surprised that my father had spawned someone with such love like their leader, my grandfather(Nali). Some said, when I read your name, when I heard your name on the radio I said, "is it really Frankie? Frankie Nelson? Wilbur Nelson's baby, the baby...so they rejoiced and until they came to shake my hand and hug me they were thrilled. Thus I am standing to remain in this race. The Israelites and a few other cultures, have built homes into the Sandstone - for safe refuge. I've wondered if the American Indians, could do the same. The homes were cool in the summer, and warm in the winter - compared to the normal outside temps.
@@NavajoGrandma There is much wisdom, in getting off of The Grid. It is aging and set up to fail. I do love the Navajos, determination to survive in such a harsh yet beautiful place. As an unplanned child, my parents would make me stay out in the desert - when we lived below the Mesa of Page Arizona. Hoping a poisonous snake, scorpion, or dehydration would get rid of me. While they kept my two planned sisters inside, or nearby. But instead they taught me, how to survive - and be observant of my surroundings and any possible resources. And the desert became, my land of wonder - as I'd quietly watch it's many creatures, and learned to recognize all of the trails left in the sand. Where I especially loved watching the mice that could hop like kangaroos. And the horned lizards, that looked like tiny prehistoric dinosaurs. Until we moved into a house at the edge of Page's Mesa (1974). Where I got to explore some small caves, trying to find a place to live safely away from my parents. Before they were confronted by a young man, while trying to drown me in Lake Powell (Shortly after I turned 11 years old). And they hurried moved us to a hotel in Flagstaff Arizona, after the police became alerted. (Shortly after they had just moved us into the house.) Until dad found a job near Farmington New Mexico. And my parents divorced, after my teachers caught on to their abuse - that my blood stained clothes testified of. My memories may seem bad, or harsh. But I feel like, it was nature and the desert and it's beauty - that kept me sane, and gave me joy 😊 Where I still at almost 59 years old - enjoy it's memories 💕🙏 I hope you are ready for The Messiah's Return. @@zeropointconsciousness Family is family and yes that is an amazing learning experience. If we can pass this test we are pretty close to Godliness I tell you. Wow!! You know what I mean. Hugs across the great waters to you Alza. From Navajo Grandma
The Israelites and a few other cultures, have built homes into the Sandstone - for safe refuge. I've wondered if the American Indians, could do the same. The homes were cool in the summer, and warm in the winter - compared to the normal outside temps.
So far they do not do this. It is a modern day getting off the grid activity though. Navajo Grandma
But I feel like, it was nature and the desert and it's beauty - that kept me sane, and gave me joy 😊 Where I still at almost 59 years old - enjoy it's memories 💕🙏
I hope you are ready for The Messiah's Return. Four He Comes with His Wife - The Omega. That is still caught up in, her earthly experience - as she awaits him. 🦋

Awesome video!! God bless this gal and you and all dene! It's just like Masada in Israel! Only the dene survived, the Israelites at masada did not survive the Roman seige.
Well the reference to Masada was amazing as I saw a movie about this and some research. I thought of it as I was here in Canyon de Chelly. This rock juts up 700 to 800 feet with sheer cliffs. How these Dine' climbed with babies, food, water and you had to be really wanting safety and they did to preserve family. What sacrifice. I would do that in a second for my children. So amazing. I felt like weeping while there and the beauty to breath in was even more humbling. I can't express it as you would have to experience it. Out of this world. Hugs.Navajo Grandma

I miss the deserts. I want to camp there.
Well whereever you are maybe this coming end of October I wanted to have everyone come to camp out and we can forage for beezho, chiilthchiin, yucca berries, didze' and spend time camping and telling each other Dine' stories of the stars and whatever we share. I want to do this and hope it comes to fruition. We shall see. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Thanks for the history
Itis always grandma's pleasure and especially with a Dine' subscriber who is incredible and whom grandma visited and spent time with to make this video. I am so honored. Navajo Grandma (Dale have you donated to grandma? If you can go to navajopresident.com)

Theirs a mountain also here in New Mexico called starvation Mountain that a similar story happened. 😢
Glad you mentioned that and it is also a moving story. Thank you for mentioning this. Navajo Grandma
Beautiful, country! Sadly, many indigenous people - in many countries worldwide. Have had this same persecution! To include my Jewish people, where my own Jewish mother and grandmother - where only 1.5 % of Jews living in Hungary, that were not slaughtered by Hitler and Stalin during WWII.
Thankfully the New Earth is Imminent 🙏 Where No More Evil - will live on earth!
Grateful to hear some good and I love your perspective. Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma You are a beautiful soul, dear sister 🤗💕 Sadly my parents didn't learn, from their barely surviving WWII - as they perpetuated Hitler and Stalin's, unnatural desire to exterminate another. But my time is at hand, and people like them - will very soon be cast away from the Pure of Heart Humblebee Light Children of our Heavenly Parents 🙏
A legend says that during this siege a navajo medicine man noted as "Lambskin hat", from Honághááhnii clan, using magical powers, guided an arrowwich killed a soldier from the top of Fortress Rock. The Ute scouts whom witnessed the event began to pack up and leave as quickly as possible.
That sounds right. Navajo Grandma
