So true, never give up, stay positive, this prostate cancer I have is my third cancer. Survived stage 4 NHL. The meds beat the alternative. Thanks for the videos Woody

Good advice anytime you’re facing adversity. I’m wondering too if keeping yourself busy constantly with mundane tasks that are distracting would help. I hope the radiotherapy knocks it out completely.

I work full time as an ambulance driving instructor, I consider it an honour to do this work. It definitely takes my mind off it. 🙏❤️

Woody…your human character is beautiful. Everything you discuss is pertinent to having cancer. Your words makes me having cancer more tolerable. Thanks for being helpful. Blessings brother.

Superb once again Woody, years ago without cancer I used to use a flower has something to focus on , the colour the shapes the smell etc etc very powerful stuff, With stage 4 cancer i am spending a week in Tenerife with my daughter and grand daughter , as a busy self employed bloke would I be doing this if not for the cancer , no because I did not do it before cancer when i had chance to, so thank you prostate cancer for making me see and realise the really important things, she is 8 year old the laugh the smile ,how lucky am I to be here doing what i am doing , thank you too Woody you give so much hope to many people. Phil

Good talk on what is sometimes called "the monkey brain". Like you said, the thoughts are amplified by the hormone therapy. One more year for me on zoladex and xtandi. Have been on my bicycle on and off for the last few days, and it has really helped keeping the monkey at bay. I was delayed by one day when i had my radiation treatments. Wires were crossed on their part, and they had to recalibrate my treatment. Put me back a bit, as i was sent home. Next day my doc was there to make sure my session went well. Just keep in mind that the sessions won't last forever, and i felt liberated, both times (12 yrs ago, and last summer) It's a good feeling when it's done. Regards, Carl

testosterone has a calming effect on the brain. Hopefully you can come off of these terrible meds soon.

I have always loved the Buddhist description of the monkey brain it's so true. 🙏❤️

Thanks again Woody, as always with your words of wisdom borne out of experience. Iam on hormone treatment for the last 4 years, 6months on/off. Had brackytherapy in 2012. Came back 4 years ago. The thoughts are not helped by the treatment, but you keep going, and i try and remain positive whatever happens down the road, god bless, keep laughing, Phil.

Will you be on those awful hormone blockers indefinitely or are you going to get radiotherapy to spots that show up on psma pet scans?

Absolutely Phil, the treatment can be worse than the disease but it's all about the way you control your thoughts and remember thoughts are not real just figments of our imagination but they can be so powerful both in a positive and negative way.🙏❤️

Woody it’s good to hear from you again, I hope when radiation therapy starts it goes well. We do get anxiety after a stage 4cancer.
