I aint gonna lie, i called this from the start. As far back as his days at Duke i thought the dude was greatly overrated, and thought about similar sorta players and what happened once they got to the league. Specifically guy who are sort of a shorter PF or a really big SF, while being built like a tank with broad shoulders and muscle to go with a decent layer of fat, so D-End mixed with Linebacker in body shape - who despite being so wide-bodied were extremely athletic with great jumping ability and agility. Best parallel who fit most of these attributes that i can think of was Larry Johnson. And before you say it - statistically he never had the averages that Zion's put up, but you gotta remember he was a team at first with two other big-time scorers in Kendall Gill and Alonzo Morning when in his best years and also played back when people actually played physical defense back in the early to mid 90's, if he played nowadays he'd be dropping just as many points as Zion. Though he wasn't quite as athletic, he certainly was faster and more agile than Zion. The only major difference physically was the fact that LJ was an inch and a half to 2 inches shorter and wasn't nearly as chubby as Zion. And guess what, he after a few years of kickin ass in the NBA, he had leg/knee injury after leg/knee injury, that quickly hampered a promising career. The difference however the big difference between the two, if the fact that LJ had better ball skills than Zion and a much better outside shot. So even after his injuries, he still was a solid PF for a number of years, even after gaining more weight. Zion is great due in large part to his physical abilities, rather than his skill-set, and the fact the league is soft as fuck nowadays. He certainly has some skills, is decent from outside and taking dudes off the dribble, but LJ before his injuries was without doubt better at both, plus was better in the post, (even when guarded by dudes bigger than him). I foresaw Zion having a career of being plagued by injuries that will eventually lead to him losing that athletic ability that hr depends so heavily on, while simply lacking the ball skills to allow him to have a "2nd act" the way LJ managed to have. Especially cuz he doesn't have nearly the work-ethic LJ had which prevented him from ballooning in weight the way Zion does every time he's out for any extended period of time. This will inevitably lead to him he'll becoming what happened to Robert Traylor, once he got to the pros or what happened with the Big O, aka Oliver Miller, by his late 20's and early 30's. And sadly, he shows no signs of deviating from that trajectory that his career seems to be heading.
@@emilfrederiksen.1622 Yeah prolly should better explain specifically what i mean by overrate. His skills, apart from his athleticism, are actually really good when compared to most PF's in the NBA, let alone back when he was in College. I was just saying that he wasn't as skilled as say - Larry Johnson, and that alot of his skills are massive dependent on that ridiculous athleticism. But the majority of the leagues power forwards weren't what he was compared to, he was being compared to the likes of Lebron effin James. From day one at Duke all of sports media was at the time pretty much universally labelling him not just a phenomenal college player and a future NBA All-Star, but a generational talent. That he was the best player coming outa HS as well a the best of anybody coming into the league - since Lebron came to the league 20 or so yrs ago! So yeah, when compared to that - he was and still is massively overrated. Unless somethin totally went awry, i thought he'd prolly be an NBA All-Star in multiple seasons and prolly for a stretch of time even be considered one of the top 10, o r maybe even in the top 5 - best PF's in the league. But that's not generational, it's just really-really good. h He's just not the unparalleled God the way he was made out to be. If your a generational talent, i'd expect the guy ro immediately make his team a playoff worthy team all by himself, and that early in his career he'd be considered one of the best players in the league, the way other "generational" or generational-level elite players like Jordan, Brid, Magic, Duncan, Clyde, D-Wade, Vince Carter, Kobe, KG or modern day examples like Stef Curry, Durrant, Jokic, Giannis, or Lebron by his fifth season. As great as he most certainly is, i think he was always destined to fall short of those lofty expectations.
@@8301TheJMan Lebron missed the playoffs his first 2 seasons in the nba. being a generational talent does not mean making your team a playoff team all by yourself. that's just silly. Wemby on the spurs is clearly generational and just lost 18 straight games. Anybody that is averaging 23ppg, 5 rebs 5ast on 60 percent shooting before they are even 25 is without question generational. he is being heavily criticized because that's how truly great he is. Kobe is my favorite player if the lakers had relied on Kobe his first 2 season they would have been at or in the lottery each year. He was not ready by any stretch of the imagination to carry anything until year 3 and he was obviously generational. Giannis was not ready at all his first couple years. Steph Curry was not steph curry until year 4 he couldn't even stay on the court with all those ankle injuries and relied upon great veterans when he first got there. nobody thought steph was going to be what he is 4 years into the league and you are already declaring Zion as falling short. its just prisoner of the moment type stuff you got to let his career play out. Embiid didn't even play his first two seasons because of injuries. its to early to right Zion's ending.
Zion isn't the problem. It's the owners and team's management that is the problem. Giving these ridiculous contracts that doesn't keep the player accountable for their actions.
It seems like having the first overall pick is a double-edged sword more often than not. Most cases you have good players who never became great (Kenyon Martin, Brad Daugherty) or HOFs (Iverson, Shaq, Yao, Olajuwon). Soon Zion might be a part of the former, if he continues to be immature.
These guys are getting paid too much for not showing much of anything. It especially hurts these small market teams that can't afford to lose these players because they aren't hot spots for free agents.
Zion and Simmons are the peak examples of Pat Bev's quote about NBA players not liking basketball. To them, they already had their bag so why try to entertain the *PEASENTS* like what a dictator would do.
... Don't worry, all this is a ploy to get Zion to New York to play for the Knicks...once there he'll be "rejuvenated" and motivated all of a sudden... probably even get down to 265 lbs and play better than ever...
How’d he go form that sixers game where he was 11/11 with 33 pts less than 2 weeks ago to what we’ve seen the last few games? Was he hung over in vegas the whole time?
Nah I've given up on Zion. He's a good player, but I truly believe he's at his peak. I remember watching him come on the Gilbert Arenas podcast. They asked him if it is hard to stick to a diet. Zion basically said when you're my age and you make as much as money as I do, it's very hard to stick to a diet. Its so frustrating to hear that. Mfer making millions and has no self control. You could even hire as you said professional chefs, nutritionists, personal trainers, etc. Wouldn't even make a dent in the millions of dollars he's making. But nope Zion does what he wants to do. The way he plays, the way he looks, and the way he acts, Zion does not care about basketball and he's happy where he's at right now.
Bro might as well just fucking retire and stop wasting everyones time it's a fkn shame i remember seeing his tapes in high school thinking he was gonna go far now fast forward to today and bro is talking some bullshit about it's hard to lose weight. Such bullshit bro obviously doesn't wanna ball I say get rid of him and let him go somewhere tf else bc this dude really been robbing the pelicans w this contract 😂 and new orleans of their fucking food
I've always been the guy that thought Zion was going to have a hard time in the NBA cause he's undersized for his position but I really don't think he's at fault for the Moriah Mills thing and it seems like him being a little overweight isn't greatly effecting him 🤷♂️ And he doesn't look fat, I don't remember everyone having issues with Perkins, Shaq, or Big Baby for being a bit pudgy 🤷♂️
Low key the one athlete that I’m baffled is not playing in the nfl. The verticality of basketball just ain’t for him no matter how much of a freak he is. Dude is not built to jump that high even though he physically can. I’d rather see his big ass rushing a quarterback.
Nothing but anti-black man propaganda meant to not talk about Josh Giddey. They will talk about this none subject for the next month without saying nothing about Giddey
I thought you said is was Kawhi. You give Zion a mid range. A touch of a 3. And who’s better. Zion is like Shaq Harden and Lebron all in one. He doesn’t have that fight in him. That hunger to be great.
He like them play ground legends in Harlem like Herman "the helicopter" Knowings and Earl "goat" Manigault- All the talent in the world but not the discipline of being in the NBA---Except them playground legends were honest--They refused to play the game of being in the NBA but weren't rippin people off for multi millions of dollars
i thought the commisioner would love zion ! with the number of time he hurt himself and basterize his futur, its almost like hes a part of the piston already ! he just need to continue on the path and maybe hes gonna be traded there ! i cant wait !
Some people are going to be like "Oh he dropped 36 and showed y'all up." Maybe people should call him out more if that's what it takes to keep him motivated. Athletic talent lasts for only so long, the NBA has plenty of examples of great players that fall off a cliff when their athletic talent fades with age and injury. Dwight Howard is a great example, hailed to be the next top center in Orlando with crazy athleticism. But his prime was short when injuries and age caught up along with a poor diet and he lacked the requisite skill set to compensate for that.
I agree with AM hoops on Zion, where maybe he should get traded since there’s no way he gets cut. Though I think he’s too immature and won’t handle the criticism in New York should he get sent there. If anything he’ll fall deeper into his vices. Unfortunate to see such a talent get injured and then lose the drive.
I was hoping this dude would give my state something to cheer for now that the Saints have fallen off, and I find myself wanting the team to ship his ass off. Him, his baby momma, his "work ethic", and the drama that follows him.
@bokcmeatyvstheworld8273 he is. Contract is guaranteed. This is an old but I'll have to see how he looks this year as he has lost a lot of weight again but he does that every year and still gets injured or doesn't play

Been watching you for a while (less than 2k subs) and have now just subbed.
In your opening diatribe, you forgot to mention that you don't even use a script, you mostly are just speaking off the top of your head with no dead air. Now that is a talent.
Wow, this is so cool to hear that you were around since then. I'm very happy to hear you subbed and that you noticed how I make these videos. Most aren't aware that I don't write anything unless it's for a skit or rap. It's a joy to be able to do this, and I won't stop improving. Thank you very much.
Daaaaaamn dude. No script? Bruh you TALENTED. Keep that sht up man you got a gift fr.
That intro was so so tough😂
Dude, your writing is top notch. Entertaining and factual. Bravo sir.
He was insanely dominant at Duke, too say he was overrated is a stretch but he had his weight problems and injury problems back then too.
But that's not generational, it's just really-really good. h
He's just not the unparalleled God the way he was made out to be.
My favorite nba TH-cam channel rn this is so unique and awesome 😂
Agreed. I can see Dynamo getting 1 million subs if he keeps his grind going.
Zion isn't the problem. It's the owners and team's management that is the problem. Giving these ridiculous contracts that doesn't keep the player accountable for their actions.
I agree, but that is just the modern NBA and money its all insane.
Bruh wdym he is ABSOLUTELY the problem. The team even put clauses in his contract that offers more incentives for keeping his weight down!
Daugherty could have made the Hall of Fame were it not for his back problems.
These guys are getting paid too much for not showing much of anything. It especially hurts these small market teams that can't afford to lose these players because they aren't hot spots for free agents.
Yeah, these new players get paid for their potential, not for what they have accomplished.
😂😂😂😂 the editing king 👑 back at it
Your word play is something special, my friend. Superb!
Zion and Simmons are the peak examples of Pat Bev's quote about NBA players not liking basketball. To them, they already had their bag so why try to entertain the *PEASENTS* like what a dictator would do.
Corey Adonis needs to repeat the 1st-4th grade.
You uploaded this the worst day possible
He’s literally eating all his money
“Barely work here” is HILARIOUS
Bro you went from 20K to 23K real quick! Congrats my guy!
Starting to be one of my favorite nba analysts keep it up
... Don't worry, all this is a ploy to get Zion to New York to play for the Knicks...once there he'll be "rejuvenated" and motivated all of a sudden... probably even get down to 265 lbs and play better than ever...
36 points tonight🥰
Definitely should of used the Scott Steiner "HE'S FAT" clip
How’d he go form that sixers game where he was 11/11 with 33 pts less than 2 weeks ago to what we’ve seen the last few games? Was he hung over in vegas the whole time?
cuts on point as usual 👌
Yo...
Why you miss the Scott Steiner quote.
Even at his worse he’s a 22 5 5 guy I hate how he doesn’t care🤦🏿♂️
Guaranteed money contracts are not good for NBA fans.
It would serve him right if the pelicans just dropped him and no other team signed him. He thinks he's above the game
DaCommish spitting straight up facts!
well last week it was Jordan Poole 🤣
Poole, Simmons, Ayton… 😂
LMFAO this too funny...@@dannyhernandez265
They need to lock Zion in a room with David Goggins
0:50 That mfer calling you lazy while he too lazy to add punctuations
Based gambling take.
If I’m the pelicans I’m trading him before the trade deadline.
95% of people would be the same way
This channel sparks joy.
That new orleans cuisine got that boi zion in a chokehold 😂
broski just dropped 36 lmao
Broski needs to make it to the playoffs and play the majority of the season before I or anyone should be satisfied
Cant wait for the next video, i even watched the pistons game too 💀
Commissioner dynamo always wins when he doesn’t gamble
And to think Knicks fans were devastated to miss out on him.
Nothing but anti-black man propaganda meant to not talk about Josh Giddey. They will talk about this none subject for the next month without saying nothing about Giddey
I talked about Josh Giggity already. Take this comment somewhere else
@@DaCommishDude yeah one time
@califleadog5657 There will be a video for each time you liked your own comment
I thought you said is was Kawhi. You give Zion a mid range. A touch of a 3. And who’s better. Zion is like Shaq Harden and Lebron all in one. He doesn’t have that fight in him. That hunger to be great.
Now for the other disappointment, Ben Simmons 😂
He like them play ground legends in Harlem like Herman "the helicopter" Knowings and Earl "goat" Manigault- All the talent in the world but not the discipline of being in the NBA---Except them playground legends were honest--They refused to play the game of being in the NBA but weren't rippin people off for multi millions of dollars
Bro is the realest nigga on the tube. I’m from Grand Rapids keep up the coverage.
I hope he doesn’t have an eating disorder.
Mr. Garvey called him out for his churlish behavior
Systematic destruction 😂😂😂
i thought the commisioner would love zion ! with the number of time he hurt himself and basterize his futur, its almost like hes a part of the piston already ! he just need to continue on the path and maybe hes gonna be traded there ! i cant wait !
The only thing that surprises me, is that people are suprised. I called this before he was drafted.
Where’s the scott steiner “this fat son of a b**** he's fat” clip when you need it 😭
as a wolves fan, he has not removed that crown from KAnT's head yet.
Ja and Zion are both extremely disappointing.
1:07 Flex on em🤣
I agree with AM hoops on Zion, where maybe he should get traded since there’s no way he gets cut. Though I think he’s too immature and won’t handle the criticism in New York should he get sent there. If anything he’ll fall deeper into his vices. Unfortunate to see such a talent get injured and then lose the drive.
I was hoping this dude would give my state something to cheer for now that the Saints have fallen off, and I find myself wanting the team to ship his ass off. Him, his baby momma, his "work ethic", and the drama that follows him.
5:55 first of all, Mr. Corey In The House needs to learn how to use some damn punctuation 🤦🏿. I almost had a stroke reading that mess 😒
This is most hyperbolic video title in youtube history
Zion and Ja, this summer should hang out with KG and Oakley ! And get a visit by Areanas
Quick question. Is he getting paid even though he's not playing cause aint no way in hell right?
@bokcmeatyvstheworld8273 he is. Contract is guaranteed. This is an old but I'll have to see how he looks this year as he has lost a lot of weight again but he does that every year and still gets injured or doesn't play
I can’t believe its been 5 years already
Commissioner Dynamo - keep doing what you do. Great stuff.
Bro the beginning 💀
I have been saying this ish for the longest, stop giving mofos that have one good season a 9 figure contract
look what happens, they get a minor injury and miss half the season or their performance declines
make them earn a big contract
