@@sunburnfreezerburn1 I need to rewatch the video but the biggest thing missing in this video is that omar doesnt play that 8th fret A string power chord in the chorus. Instead he plays 12 on the A string, 10 in D and 12 on the B. Basically an A minor dyad with an added B.
Amazing cover and awsome skills but like this said tutorial but im have trouble figuring out where to put my fingers i get there are tabs but they dont do much more in depth tutorial please??
That's one thing I didn't respect about ATDI before I picked up a guitar. Their songs are haaaaaaaaaaard to play imo. I love Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and that whole Relationship of Command even more now
Yeh! It's alternate picking... but not in the way most people understand it. The alternation is tied to where a given note falls in the beat, as opposed to the stroke you just played determining whether you play an upstroke or a downstroke next. Basically: Any notes that fall on the '1' or the 'and', should be played with a downstroke, and anything that falls onto 'e' or 'a' with an upstroke. Look up "basic rhythmic solfege" if you didn't understand what "1 e and a" just referred to there.
This is a great video but some of the parts aren’t correct. I’m really not trying to sound mean. You did a great job. Just some of the chords and leads are wrong
It took until 2020 for someone to figure out the madness behind this song. I've been dying to learn it since high school lol
Its still slightly inaccurate but very close
@@boyman7823 Im trying to source a bunch of stuff to learn this currently, what should I be aware of if I follow this video?

Me too! Just looked this up and found this. Didn’t know it was posted a year ago!
Wow funny seeing the comments, because I've been waiting for someone to do this as well for about 2 decades already. Damn.
24 years and 3 minutes and 45 seconds later I’m still say wtf is Omar playing
Exactly, used to play only the chorus with power chords because I could never figure it out
You did an incredible job here. you should be very proud.
where was this 13 years ago when i needed it , great job!
Amazing and impressive. Finally a full cover I’ve been searching for. Thank you.
love your video formatting + the tab is very loyal to the original! rad and a half, will be referring to this when coming up with my own arrangement
Thanks man, absolutely incredible!

I liked, because of the song. I subscribed because of your chirality.
Excellent video and performance. I do hope you cover Omar's guitar work more.
cam you play Eriatarka by The Mars Volta? That's a very difficult song play.
Amazing cover and awsome skills but like this said tutorial but im have trouble figuring out where to put my fingers i get there are tabs but they dont do much more in depth tutorial please??
Nice job. Can you move the tab up? Can't read it when the video is paused. Thanks!
Damn dude. You are good. I am trying to learn this but it is above my skill level right now.

Can't see half the tab because of the progress bar.
Do you have the tab standalone?
Any tips on the bottom portion pick part?
