I have come back to this time after time and it still rips my brain open. That riff is so hard from the first second, and I love the bass line. Everything is fierce and urgent and flawless.
love this band. hey all. for those who support this band i salute u. for those getting to know them , they are an fuckin awesome band man. i mean , i go spastic in my car listening to their shit....having a hard time is an awesome track , so are the rest. much love from klang , malaysia.
Jeanine Kolasa Yep and this video was recorded in Chelsea i’m pretty sure which is only one suburb away from me! also heard one the guys in this band owns a tattoo shop in Frankston if i’m not mistaken
Hey bro Ive been watching this clip for years just wanted to say thanx for uploading er! I'm living in the UK atm and miss these guys heaps saw em so many times. Still wear a yellow eddy current shirt, lol
Fabulous ! Only found out about this band on New Year's Day 2023 ... which makes it official : I wasted 14 years of my life listening to other stuff ...
This music video is the best encapsulation of Australian life I've ever seen, those cliche idiots the Chats wish they could accurately capture such a snapshot of the culture
I shit you not I was saying this exact same thing just as I saw your comment. Apparently Eddy Suppression Ring isn’t even classified as “punk” to people yet the Chats are? Either way, garage rock or punk, I’ll take this band any day over the Chats.
Who says they have to be 'punk'? And what does that even mean, anyway? It's just good, honest 'pub' rock. Or 'garage' rock if you want. Or 'beach shack' rock even?
best eddie's song ! I live less than 50 yards from there and half of my neighbours are in the clip (the old bugger in the hat). Wish I'd been there to see it.
Where the fuck is this? I was bored and tried to find it on google earth using what ever clues I could find in the clip to no avail.. I'm thinking somewhere between seaford and aspendale but cant pinpoint the spot..
exaclty how i found them. this is such a refreshing sound. for an 80's punk rock/90's grunge kid.......this music is such a well needed relief to the shitty music of today. with the exception of bands making music like this of course. new favorite band.
Sounds a bit like Johnny Rotten if he sang in the style of Iggy Pop, well I guess it’s more talking on this track. Amazing tune though and I’ll be checking out more of their stuff.
Saw em in Adelaide a couple of years ago at a Laneway festival. Never heard of them before then but they were great, Echo and the Bunnymen were the highlight though. They opened with this song, This is Aussie culture and we need to keep it alive and strong, There's a lot of people out there that want to oblitereate it completely !
another great thing about this band is that you can be an "indie" band WITHOUT dressing like someone out of a 1960's andy warhol film rock on boys.. see you at meredith!
@ThePoorhillbilly Raw spontaneous, joyful music i love these guys, Dirty York, Even, Cosmic Psychos, Hoss, all great live bands cos their music is intuitive from the soul
god why did I just now found about all those australian gems... makes me wanna burn down my flat and run away from this hell hole called germany to australia, which surely isn´t less of a hellhole... I mean existence will always be a burden but you guys have sunny beaches and shit... it´s like california but not as shitty and american... and it´s continent sized...
@sydeston i just think its not sappy blues and roots, not rehersed gimmick rock and not drum and bass rap. its just raw music. and a minimal mindset. the guitar solos etc. this band is actually good. typically australian noone willl ever understand them and they will never be famous because they're is just no place for them in australian music but and indie label and an aria nomination. maybe some triple jjj radio play
I have come back to this time after time and it still rips my brain open. That riff is so hard from the first second, and I love the bass line. Everything is fierce and urgent and flawless.
godlike. criminally underrated. live forever brendan huntley
Raw and addictive. Reminds me of the Saints in their early days. Great stuff.
I love this band so much. If they did this in the 70's they would be hall of farmer's.
True, but The Cranberries and The Strawberry Alarm Clock are in The Hall of Farm, and thats what matters.
love this band.
hey all. for those who support this band i salute u. for those getting to know them , they are an fuckin awesome band man. i mean , i go spastic in my car listening to their shit....having a hard time is an awesome track , so are the rest.
much love from klang , malaysia.
love the australian rawness...music of
my generation...and i read that you formed the band in frankston..another reason to be proud i grew up there!
Jeanine Kolasa Yep and this video was recorded in Chelsea i’m pretty sure which is only one suburb away from me! also heard one the guys in this band owns a tattoo shop in Frankston if i’m not mistaken

This was angst, anger, and relief in one song, with a sh1tload of power.
Who says they have to be 'punk'? And what does that even mean, anyway? It's just good, honest 'pub' rock. Or 'garage' rock if you want. Or 'beach shack' rock even?
Classic classic stuff, awesome song, great clip, makes me wish i was back in Melbourne for the summer. Go the EDDY's!!!
