So I just want to make sure I get this right: Reverse fans - will have the front face showing when used as intake fans Standard fans - will have the front face showing when used as exhaust fans Is that correct?
In your lian li example i think you made a mistake. You note the bottom and AIO fans as intake (reverse) fans. that would mean its pulling air into the case from outside. with the AIO you would want to be pushing air into the AIO radiator, thus using a regular exhaust fan no?
Im setting up a build in my Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL case and ive been at a crossroads whether to get the Lian Li SL-INF 140's or the Thermaltake SWAFAN EX14 ARGB reversible fans,i kinda prefer the look of the Thermaltake fans tbh but i want quality, any opinion would be great, cheers.(btw love the picts you always have on the back wall during your takes )

when you say pulling air through the radiator and exhausting it out of the top do you mean the fan is pushing air thru the radiator and out the top? or is it getting pulled from the top and pulled out through the side?
I installed 3 reverse blade fans with the mirror facing towards the inside of the case on the "Side" but it seems to be on exhaust mode. not sure what I did wrong, how can I make it intake without flipping over the side Fan : SL wireless 120 Lian li
Ya my biggest thing for my 7900XTX build I'm planning is I just don't want to see those back plates. And mixing in 3 TL LCDs in the mix, and a push pull setup with the radiator on the side, making sure I get all the right fans is crucial. Definitely gonna go over it about 100 times in my head before I confirm my orders. I would appreciate if someone can tell me if I have the right idea here: Radiator: 3 TL LCDs pulling from the radiator so the screens are facing the inside of the case, 3 TL reverse fans to intake. Bottom: 3 TL to intake Top: 3 TL reverse fans to exhaust Back: 1 TL 140 reverse to exhaust
I wouldn't use LCD fans on a rad personally as air flow won't be as good. As for the other fans your logic is wrong, you want standard fans for top exhaust, reverse blade for intake
@@TheProvokedPrawn Ok I appreciate the response. I'll have to rethink how I set the radiator. Might just go top mount considering how you feel about the LCDs on the radiator.
Hello , i have the Cosmos 700m . I am thinking to change the exhaust fans with reverse blade fan . Is sounds good ? My case has x3 140mm front and 1x 140mm exhaust . What the best option ?
so if i want to use a Lian Li lcd fan for the exhaust in the back, with the lcd panel facing inwards in the case so i can see the display, should i use the regular one or the reverse blades one? i wanna mention that i want to put 3 140 lcd normal fans for the intake, with the lcd on the outside of the case because i have a nice mesh which can open and close from the front and i would love to put that extra touch in the inside case for the rear fan.
Would reverse blade fans (3 x 120mm) on the base of an Antec Performance 1 FT case negatively impact the air flow from front to back and out of the top of the case? The fresh/cool air being sucked in probably won’t get past the RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics card? What are your thoughts? Thanks.
hmmm, I didn't explain it well then. You can technically make either intake or exhaust depending on how you mount them. If you mount standard with the backs facing inwards, then that's intake. Reverse blade fans are the same, just the blades are designed differently.
@TheProvokedPrawn alright cheers I've bought a Lian Li SL- lcd reverse would like the screen showing but still a bit confused if reverse is intake or exhaust
Ok I’m new to pc building my first one I have asus Hyperion fan comes pre installed with 4 140mm fans Front 3 140mm fans are intake so get 3 reverse fans Back 140mm fan needs to be standard for exhaust?
So I have tow sets of Lian li lcd fans that are reversed can that be my intake and a one fan for exhaust and my aio exhaust would that be good air pressure or whatever it’s called?
Would I be able to buy 7 forward fans and make them intake and exhaust? It’s more expensive to go 3 exhaust and 4 intake. Not by much, trying to figure out if each and every part I have is okay has been super overwhelming does it ever get easier? I haven’t built a computer since 2021 but I’m wanting to upgrade so I figure why not 2 birds 1 stone, build gaming pc sell them (enjoy the process like legos) and be able to eventually afford the AM5 build I want to upgrade to. Currently have a R5 3600 x rx5700xt whole build in cart right under $500, I feel like I could get it cheaper I just don’t know where, thinking maybe downgrading from 1tb to 512gb but it’s only like a $10 difference, motherboard isn’t even expensive $65, 2x8 3200mhz for $29 with the pc case and fans I picked out $72 in total, $145 GPU, little over $40 “Thermaltake Smart 80 Plus Power Supply 600W” and looking at a couple different Closed AIO water coolers for around $30 with no fans going to use 2 of the fans I’m purchasing. Do you have really any recommendations for starting out? Should I commit to selling this build or should I upgrade a few parts like maybe a 3600 to a 5600x for an extra idk $30-$40. Anyways thanks for the video and thanks in advanced if you do reply if not it’s okay. Thanks for the video anyways
I orderd 6 Standart Lcd Fans for the Bottom and 1 InF reversed for exhaust. I think its false right ? Because i wanna see the Lcd fans, i need a answer :(
This all fine and dandy but in the UK Lian li reverse fans have been unavailable except in the odd single packs for months, I gave up and bought Phanteks D30's. Excellent choice.
Same where I live. No 3 packs with controller for the reverse blade, only singles which cost a fortune. Hard to justify spending so much. Kinda wish the t30s and noctuas came in reverse blade too as then it might be worth it to spend more.
do I need to buy reverse fans for a side mount Lian li cooler ?? It already comes with 3.. can I not flip them and have rgb on other side ? Please someone help me
Сan't find a single video where someone test these reverse fans for performance on cpu cooler in push position - so that there are no obstacles between the cooler fins and the fan. is there a noticeable difference? 🤔
I dont understand which uni sl inf are reverse blade fans Theres a 3 pack of the sl inf on amazon but im not sure if theyre reverse or standard fans can u help me out pls

yup
@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you Sir Prawn 👍😃
Thank you for pointing out which fans go where. I was about to use a reverse blade fan at the back as an exhaust.

Clear and concise. Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Its about time that someone thought of this.
Great informative video on fans.
Appreciate it!
Thank you. This had me so confused much like RGB and ARGB lighting
Glad to help
My ceiling fan is reversible, are there any reversible PC fans?
Nope, they don't exist. Galactic impossibility.
Yes I Colar has them on amazon for about 50 dollars for rgb 3pack
That's an even better idea.

No mistake. In my testing with side or front mounted radiators, pulling air into the case through the radiator is better for cooling.
if im gonna build my pc with lian li dynamic evo so i have to buy 6 reverse inf fans and 1 standart? or im wrong? i choosed top for the aio
You are correct.
Perfectly not confusing

If I have no space at the top for fans because I am using the O11 Vision of Lian Li what would be the best placement of standart and reverse fans?

I have the NZXT elite case and I wana do full set of fans from Lian li but I don’t want the plastic to show , so what should I buy and how many ??
Can I use (1) reverse blade fan for rear exhaust? Or does the rear exhaust have to be a regular fan blade? Please help.
If you use a reverse blade at the rear then it would be intake. Unless you put it on backwards?
If i mount a radiator on top should that always be exhaust, and likewise if its front mounted should it always intake?
It's logical
Does the reverse fans for the Lianli SL INF have the rgb reversed or does the rgb go the same way as the SL INF?
It's just the blades that are reversed
@ thanks

No standard blade for that. Reverse blade are usually used for bottom and rear fans, as intake, but you don't have to look at the back.
