Damn Varmints!!! I used to work on a Military Base. There was an infestation of these big rodents!
At least once a week I'd see one or two that got squashed by a vehicle! Of course, you'd see a bunch of crows or buzzards feasting on it! UGH!🤮

Same way, but I would make sure the trap is staked down solid. Badger is a powerful animal.
