I see a lot of Windows Mobile elements in Marshmallow. The vertical scrolling, the dark mode, all the battery saving options, the Windows apps. Now I'm starting to see why Windows Mobile smartphones are starting to gain popularity again.
I just installed 6.0 on a Nexus 6 and must say I am very impressed!!

Good overview of Android 6.0... My Nexus 6 feels pretty familiar, but some of the features make it a nice update. Though I still look at it in some ways of Android 5.5

Hi, nice video i want to switch my xperia z ultra and get nexus 6 right now (november 2015) but im worried about screen burn in and Pinked screen, have you any issues with your nexus 6 screen?
Nexus 6 = massively underrated
do a test on Beam. pics can beam from pics taken from camera but not from screenshots or downloads. also camera shots from online folder can beam vs camera shots from phone folder cannot beam. only happens when beaming from marshmallow to lollipop & visa versa.

Anyone remember the app drawer on the HTC Dream? It was a scrolling style as well, so they're not doing anything new. Nonetheless, I prefer a scrolling app drawer.

Anomaly True but Nexus 6 is still from far one of the best on the market after the 6P...unless you really need hi-spec phone right away, I'm pretty sure 6P is a also long lasting phone with no competition for a while. And it gonna get cheaper soon.

Well let's see. I'm wanting to get a 5X for Christmas.. but these are almost $100 cheaper off ebay, would it be better to get this or the 5X? I want the 5X because of the size, but I mean if it's a better deal to get this then I might just do that, I do like watching videos a lot off of my phone so a bigger screen might be better, any opinions?
I went from an iPhone 5 to the Nexus 6 and, I really enjoy the bigger screen for movies, not just the screen but the Nexus 6 has front facing speakers which make it great for watching movies on, the speakers also get decently loud and hold their quality, and getting used to a bigger phone wasn't really that bad, but once I got a bigger phone I don't think I could ever go back to a smaller phone
"Lock screen message" isn't new. It's on lollipop under "owner info".

so I have always had an iphone and just switched to android this week (got the nexus6 for $200 on Black Friday) and still have lollipop. Do I wait for my phone to let me know there is an update or should I manually install marshmallow? i seriously don't know much about this...

on my Nexus 7 yes. On my Nexus 6 not really since the LTE bands still suck the battery a bit even with doze.

I don't think the vertical layout is unique to Android 6.0. I am currently on 5.1.1 and vertical scrolling with letter labeling is there. I hear a lot of people speak as though it's a "new" feature. Hmmm, I wonder why though.

TTP The Google Now Launcher? I was on a Note 3 up until a week ago. TouchWiz allows for vertical scrolling if I remember correctly. I got a Nexus 6 about a week ago and needless to say the default launcher would be Google Now Launcher. It sounds like vertical scrolling is less of an OS feature and more of a launcher feature.
I don't like the vertical scrolling either but everything else I like
+Groud Frank Not the Google now launcher. The "Google" app on google play changed it. You can change it back if you like to the old style.
And I still have no marshmallow on the nexus 6 it sucks it should came at the same time to every nexus 6 but no maybe next month for ppl outside America

Got a Z30, but ready to upgrade soon. Tried out the Priv the other day and I liked the feel and flow of it better than the new nexus devices. But that could be because I'm used to bb10

this should have been android 5.2 as its so small of a difference reminds me of iOS updates. lots of these features are allready in other phones with skins on them so this is not innovative at all
A lot of the improvements are things you can't see. performance, battery, system controls, control over apps/permissions, how the SD card now fuses with the internal memory....there's soo much more under the hood than what these youtubers show. As he says, so many behind the scene changes.

David Huisman no its not. Multi window lets you multitask. It's a lot more convenient than switching back and forth between apps.
