Don’t worry a lot of moms are like that. I am African American and I was raised on my dad’s side while my mom was working. No man is the head of the household. Just judgmental women who talk behind each other’s backs. That’s why I’m kind of really against both sides of my family. I know right, these women are those "mohalla" aunties that make you leave your beloved country, I mean seriously, I would have had all the three eat whole green chillies in front of me and told "this is what Indian food tastes like", I mean seriously, it feels like they switched on a Karen mode just because they are in front of the camera, I do feel ashamed as a resident Indian, atleast they could have respected each other's food because in India it's all about what you and your family is comfortable with, my grandparents can't chew well so my mother always makes aloo Gobi soft and pretty much tasteless, but I like to eat it spicy so I get a green chili or add pepper or red chilli powder

Not Saucy? Who the hell makes saucy Aloo Gobi?! Also, I didn't see a single cumin seed which is almost essential to the authentic taste. Where are the onions? While Aloo Gobi means "potato cauliflower", that's not all that the dish has.
I know?? Personally I like a little gravy in my aloo gobhi so that it’s not too dry, you know? These aloo gobhis just look so bland and just plain sad. Where’s the onion? The jeera?
Seriously. Where are the peas? There are so many variations to both the dishes they cooked but they made the most basic versions.
Actually both dry and saucy versions are authentic depending on the part of India they originate from. I prefer a bit of sauce myself.

Meanwhile my Indian Mum: Goes to the Kitchen at 12 o Clock finishes making the Daal at 12 Twenty, as well as make the Chawal (Rice) in 5 Minutes.
At 12:30: "Bete Khana ban gaya hai"🤣
She can make a Daal in 20-30 Mins that is more Appealing and Tasty, than that Mum made in 2 Hours.
How is it possible to make rice in 5 minutes? I can make it in 15 minutes.

@@paninihead8691 rice cooked in presssure cooker takes about 7 minutes in my house because we are a family of 5, she may have less members at home and even if not, rice doesn't take long and hence easiest ever.

Trust me! The Dals were straight out of hell! A Daal is a mixed pulse lentils soup and tarka technically means added spices. My mom always puts fried and cut tomatoes,chillies and cumins with fresh clarified butter in it and it's a chef's kiss!

I don’t know anyone British who brags like this about their food, or is this rude. Except for some British born Asians like the above. British White people certainly don’t. None that I’ve ever met, anyway.
Anyone I’ve met from (born in) India isn’t like these ladies at all, and are always very humble and gracious.
