Yeah, there was a lot of misinformation going around about a Smiling Friends anime when he actually meant that there will be an anime-style *episode* in the future.
I never saw it, but after what has happened with the show recently, I don't think I will. Adult Swim should end this series and just focus on Smiling Friends, tbh.
Nobody has talked about Rick and Morty The Anime, because people stop caring about Rick and Morty. The popularity of the show is no longer there, it's gone. People realized that Rick and Morty was never funny to begin with and that. The anime series received a 3.0/10 on iMDB. I miss Final Space and Close Enough. We want them back.
The one thing that irks me is that why did they decide to use Sentai VAs because the original show is recorded by Bang Zoom, which is a studio that does anime dubs And some of the VAs in the original show have voiced anime characters before

That’s an absolute banger But, the original theme song does not lie to you! It’s all about adventure and exploring weird stuff, but the anime one, dang, it’s ok tho, but the original was better.
I think it's stupid as hell that Rick and Morty made their own anime show. There are many genres of anime. Not all of it is serious and story driven. You would probably prefer slice of life anime. Nichijou is one of my favorites. You should give that show a try.
I don't even like Rick and Morty and I feel cheated. It looks like an American animated show. I know there are a few anime with cartoony art styles like but I don't think anyone wanted this.
I don't think the anime will ruin the franchise, because it doesn't really have anything to do with the original cast. I think it'll be one of those things where in the next few years, it'll be extremely forgotten, and nobody will talk about them, unless someone says "hey remember when someone tried to make a Rick and Morty Anime." I think it's alright tbh. The animation and voices remind me of a normal adult swim show so I don't mind it. The pilot was terrible tho, and was REALLY hard to follow my first time watching. Instead of getting an insight to what we're in for, all we get is Morty playing a VR game, and Summer helping Rick out in space while he does nothing. It would've been better if we saw Rick and Morty hanging out going on an adventure, Rick giving him a VR set, and then we catch a little bit of the girl he's in love with. My main problem with the series is in the first episode we don't get enough Rick, and in the second episode we don't get enough Morty (I don't remember but I think he's only in one or two scenes). Personally I do enjoy the series so far but it's only been two episodes, so my opinion on the show will likely change.
Western animator must understand that making a anime inspired show are boring and not interesting just look what happened to high guardian spice got overshadowed by w40k hammer and bolter
I can’t even watch the commercials. I turn it down and nab my phone.. wtf is up with their teeth? This isn’t an anime. Anime takes time to tell the story and time into the art… this has none of it.

How psi-cops act like or their comedy delivery is just so fuckin cheap but who is this mass appeal or head of writing is it like a couple people making this a thing? Is it equal hiring that is forcing people that would not ever be truly qualified and in turn making the writing lack? I am actually really interested in why the delivery of comedy is shifting? But it’s not getting better? Way more dull and like actual caveman type comedy that might appeal to either 1-3 year olds, or few thousand years back might tickle a pickle. No thanks.

The Rick and Morty anime looked like they horribly copied the animation style of “Chibi Maruko-Chan” (an animation that’s similar to Doraemon).
