Love the tips and the reminder of "Mental blocks" versus actual obstacles. Just went out to the Green River area with a friend who is a much better rider and we talked about mental blocks when approaching features. I keep forgetting how capable my bike is and that the main reason I struggle is because of my brain misinterpreting features.

Very true, it may be the MOST important aspect of riding!

Thanks for the videos, very nice insights. Would it be possible to give us the bike audio so we can here your throttle and clutch delivery as you execute the techniques

Just what I needed. I've road over a few tractor tires but the ones at the last race got me. They were vertical halfway in the ground but they were really soft. I've only road on hard tires so when I hit it it just absorbed all my energy. Good video.

Cool 😎thanks Rich. I was looking closely at the way you get the wheel to lift. Compress the forks then blip. And gotta like the Beta without that head light

We go more in depth on that specifically in double blip break down I mentioned.

Thanks Rich, great video! Could you maybe make another one explaining how to jump a long distance hopping a log. I've seen guys like Billy Bolt making triples or really long jumps, sometimes out from a little kicker. Thanks!

Uhm... I'm still thinking of the Double Blip as the "punch" technique, punching the obstable with the front at 3/4 of the height and then giving a second blip of throttle to basically run over it with the rear... so no rear wheel "hop" from the ground. And I always thought the Jap Zap was the technique where you punch and then compress the suspensions a second time to "jump" over the obstable with the rear wheel leaving the ground. This second technique, to me, is still not accessible as I don't have the timing right. I mean, in that second (barely) I can't really make up my mind about the second blip and the body movement needed (jump and get the bars up).

Yes the double blip your rear tire drives into the obstacle. The jap zap the rear tire lifts before the obstacle.

@@IRCTireUSAMoto how tall can the obstacle be for the double blip? I mean, how hard do you recommend me to fall on the next obstacle? 🤣
