Please find peace with yourself! I need to and trying to work on it. I have trauma since childhood and still in a narcissist life. I need to get out. Please thank you for sharing your story

Thank you so much for sharing! I can relate to your and Brendan's search for answers to why your parents' acted the way they did (either neglect or abuse). My anxiety about unpredictable and disturbing behavior certainly distanced me from my parents. And how so often these struggles are hidden out of shame and loyalty. Some people have commented that such public disclosure is oversharing/ indulgent. But for people who have survived such experiences, this public sharing of private past traumas is healing, not only for you but also for us who witness it. Thank you.
I have begun to be more open about my experience with friends to discover how what felt so isolating as a child was actually an experience shared by some of my classmates. I am grateful you were able to have a friend/ ally as a teen, even if the search for truth and understanding has extended far into your adulthood. I am happy to see that your sadness and regret about what you did not receive from your Dad have not blocked you from being more connected and involved with your own children. I hope many benefit from your experiences.

For me this is a missed opportunity to delve deeper into mental illness and how society/health care "deals" with it and how families have to manage without the support they need. Granted this is specific to Joe and kudos to him on willing to share his personal experience.

I don’t think you guys understand the pharmacology of what causes the bad side effects it has to do with certain receptors and if you use compounds that don’t affect beta arrestin protein then you have no addiction or side effects
