My fundraiser was a success because I have dedicated followers on my social media. Not friends and family, but about 30k people invested with my campaign that wanted to see it succeed. I find things work better when you have a fan base.

thank you . my campaign is not successful and I have to quit the university this year and Im going to lose my room cause Im in so much debt for the rent because of the Italy's lock down and thats why I made a gofundme campaign. instead of getting help I got bullied every time I've shared it in different places. and Ive got "GO HOME" messages from Italians :)) but anyway your video gave me really helpful informations, Im going to try and see if I can make some podcasts maybe to tell my story .

@@beldaye6505 thanks 🫶🏼 but I quit my university that year. And I came back "HOME".But Its fine.that pandemic changed many people's lives.I'm one of those who did not survive that situation anyway. I regret that I chose Italy and studied Italian in a first place and wasted 3 years of my life for NOTHING🥲😵💫😂 but I still play and sing Italian songs.so its not that bad 🥹

What is the obligation, for one using gofundme, to the IRS? Because, in my research, before starting a campaign, I’ve now seen some information that has me fully questioning using gofundme, bc of the possibility of getting taxed on the donations I receive. I’m trying to purchase my childhood home, that I currently live in, that dastardly relatives are trying to sell out from underneath me, and profit from. But I don’t wanna get fucked over by the IRS, if I were to raise the money.
I on my third brain tumor after 2 brain operations and started a Go Fund me page But my children have been through enough and I can't use Facebook as they will find out I have a large family and if my kids where to find out it would effect them negatively how can I raise money for the operation and after rehab?

I'm physically disabled and not working. I don't have any family, I don't have a partner, I don't have children and I no longer have a social network or friends since becoming disabled and so do not have anyone to direct it to. There's a course I want to go on and it costs £2000 in total £495 for 4 instalments, and the next start date is May 2023. So how do I do this crowdfunding?

It seems so easy to say these things but when you’ve been posting it on your Facebook or Twitter or any other link your post and you ask them to share and they don’t wanna share what we supposed to do there should be other requirements to get help for ourselves.

Regardless how much advice is out there, no information on how to actually receive donations and were to begin on getting them. I started GoFundMe page there is no where to post and see real results a directory needs to be made to show where to go and how to post. People that do not have friends or access what then is there another program to get actual help, crowdfunding works when a crowd is made however I can not make one like a lot of people where's the information on that.

I'm needing to do one and I'm honestly really nervous about it. I can't ask family for help and don't really have many friends so I'm at a loss. My socials are being redone because of haivng gone through theft so I had to do a total rebrand and now I'm under the radar because I don't want to put too much out there in case it happens again before I get things going.
But my fundraiser's going to be for medical. I have head injuries and at this point, I just want to get to a doctor because I've been dealing with it for so long. My family don't care so I just have to go and do for myself at this point, but I want to keep it positive you know? And I don't want them to know that I'm doing it because I have to tell the truth and I know they'll get offended about it becuse of the things that I have to say which is just the truth of what happened. I want to get out of here too so I can heal, but the main thing is that I need the medical.
Fortunately, I can draw, and I can tell a decent story, so maybe that'll help.

My mum had health issue and I send her money for her medical bills.Now it s hard for me to pay those bills back,it s not much but with my expenses here i cant make it to pay back.At first i feel embarrassed to ask this amount from people and also dont want my family especially my mama knows that i’m in difficult situation bcz of that.I have never used it and have no idea if my relatives without me sharing can see it
I live with mentally abusive parents, so I literally cannot afford to have them see my donation campaign. Even though I’m using a fake name, there’s too much detail about my life in the description for them to connect the story back to me. It’s stupid because I could fake the story to something comparable to what I’ve suffered through, but I don’t want to lie to people to get money from them.
Even if the money is still going towards something noble and genuine. I’d rather a donation come from a real place of genuine consideration that the person donating specifically wants to fulfil the specific ask of my circumstance, not one that is made only to pull sympathy money.
Though at this point I just might, I need £10,000 to move out, that’s all I need really.

I need tips on how to stimulate my GoFundMe campaign. My previous primary care provider referred me to an out-of-state sleep study provider as a Medicaid patient. After the home-based study, I received harassing phone calls and was forced money out of my pocket. I cannot pay other small loans off by December because of this forced expense.

I am currently pursuing BS Hons. In Management Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences. In my first year at LUMS, I got 40% financial aid, which was very low considering my financial background. Studying at LUMS was very costly; apart from just paying for the semester fee, I was required to spend money on study material, food, and clothing, and it was not possible for me because of limited funds. I spent a tough time at LUMS, increasingly desperate, because I couldn’t participate in student societies, sports etc. and was missing significant grooming opportunities. My family had the mindset that if they had paid my tuition fee, everything was perfect, but through this stress, my bond with my family was very weakened because they did not understand my problems. Last year because of the University’s Financial Aid denial and dismissal of reappeal, I was bound to pay my full tuition fee, and it was highly hectic for me to arrange that amount. I went through depression, which affected my grades and life. I was helpless. Because of their denial, I went for a whole year off because I was not in the position to pay that fee in full again. I am a final-year student now. I applied again for financial aid this year, but they denied my request.
If I cannot collect the money for my fees, I will have to discontinue my studies altogether. This year my entire fee will be about 5000USD. Please help in whatever way you can to support my educational career. Education should not be exclusive to those who can afford such ludicrous amounts of money. A small donation can help change my life.

Sounds like hooey. Sounds like I'm getting my moneyless friends to donate through gofundme (humiliations galore) so gofundme can take their percentage from my friends. Why don't I just go to my friends and ask them to their face instead of hiding behind a gofundme page? If it's my friends, it'll be a loan that i'll pay back when I can, less humiliating than begging for free money so gofundme can get theirs without humiliation.
