Allow me to push back. Persons like he and Maggie Haberman holding onto crucial information for the electorate just so they can include them as "bombshells" in their books is not helpful to democracy. I hope they enjoy their book profits while the rest of us see where our Country goes after this next election.
Every country - recognized as such or not - needs at least a few people like Mr. Woodward at all times. At *all* times.

I recall the last time Bob Woodward released a book with critical information about Trump. And how he was shocked that one woman interviewing him called him out for keeping information away from the public to release a book. IMO i hope moving forward we have more of those discussions on whether it is a disservice to do that considering our current situation.

Almost finished the audiobook. It was really gripping. Ran around with headphones all day. Only thing is it is a bit hard to tell sometimes how reliable his sources are. I get that he can’t reveal them all and most of the time it is because he interviewed a person involved. But often I asked myself can he really know this.
He can. And it is exactly because he never reveals his sources and is 100% trustworthy that these people in the most inner circles dare speak with him. I truly believe if he is taken to court he has the «receipts» to back up every word.

When it comes to the situation in Gaza, the Americans played a key role in supporting Israel's attempt at a "final solution" for the Palestinians. However, despite the immense pain and loss, the Palestinians have resisted and thwarted this plan, which is only comparable to the atrocities of the Nazis.

Bob Woodward has been doing this for a long time. So long that some of his previous confidential sources would have no reason not to come forward after all of this time. I would like for the press to question him on that instead of never questioning his anonymous sources. I am skeptical of his claims. He could convince some of his older sources to come forward if they really exist and that would not only lend credibility to his previous work but also would make more people willing to be a source after hearing a source vouch that he faithfully maintained their anonymity for all these years until they were willing to come forward.

I was hoping this interview would be a bit more neutral, but it's so one-side as to be propaganda. Case in point, Bob Woodward quotes Jake Sullivan as a fair source in judging "what would be" in Ukraine if Trump was President (instead of Biden). Also, repeating the statement that "Trump loves dictators" instead of something along the lines of saying that Trump will work with dictators (for good or bad). ... And people wonder why so many of us dont trust the media. What a shame.
The exchange between Russian and American authorities suggests that there is no room for negotiation, at least from the American side. Could this lack of a diplomatic solution be pushing Russia closer to war in the absence of viable alternatives?
Great interview. Very informative. I was disappointed however at the end when he described Harris as inexperienced. That simply doesn’t hold up in comparison to most incoming presidents.
It seems clear, by looking at all the relevant facts about both presidential candidates, who would be best for our country as president. Fortunately for Trump, his voters don't investigate the facts, nor do they let the facts influence their loyalty. That's why he's even remotely in contention to win this election.

I don't quite agree with his estimate of the likelihood of Russia using nuclear weapons in October 2022. He says 50% - they will use them, or they won't. That's a rather humorous estimate. First of all there have been no preparations by Russia, and for tactical NW use they are significant (for strategic much less). Also, the failure on the 08...09-2022 front was due to two reasons: surprise and severe shortage of soldiers. The second problem was completely eliminated by mobilization (and prisoner recruitment). That is, the front was stabilized and completely under control on both sides by the end of November. I don't think the threat of nuclear weapons use was 50% in the fall of 2022. In my opinion no more than 10%. Easy to say now, but even then I didn't give more than 20%. Now it is less than 3% by the end of this year.

Harris was VP for about 3.5 years and never won a primary. Vance destroyed her VP choice in a debate and has dismantled her lead just weeks after his debate. Vance has been out in the open everyday and taking questions from all sorts of people. And going on hostile interviews to argue for the Trump campaign. Kamala's judgement is questionable as she chose Waltz instead of Shapiro. And it isn't clear that she or her team have a coherent or proactive strategy for winning the election other than saying she's not Biden and she's not Trump.
