Super Paper Mario was my favorite with Thousand Year Door being a close second. I hope the really do return back to the roots and make this an awesome game!
I have a feeling that this game is going to be Super Paper Mario level dark. Yes, I am one of those Paper Mario fans. SPM was the last good game we got compared to the ones that came after.

Creepy Noodles I only played Paper Mario for the Wii and I loved it, so I'm excited to play it with a totally different control set
Though it has flaws, I tbink SPM could be argued as having the best writing of any Mario game.

One of the rumours about this game earlier in the year also mentioned a 2D Metroid.
