-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The staff at Wettie have compiled a list of fish that they have filmed lately and set them into their preferences of target VS no target. Target being their opinion of better eating fish/more challenging to hunt, non target being fish that are not good eating/slower growing/rarer

Excellent I love to see what's below the surface
Slipper lobsters , non target ?? They are a great feed
Brilliant vid !! Was just wondering your reason behind the copper moki being a non-target? Found it to be a good eating fish, was just wondering your opinion. (Taste, territorial etc :)
Great footage. Why are some of the species a non target? Is it because they are unedible or endangered?
You were too quick for us! Have just updated the info to say why - It's our opinion of better/worse eating and also taking into consideration rarer species and slower growing species that are very territorial so once wiped out from an area, don't return.
Why is octopus non target?
Are the non target species edible ?
Yes most fish in NZ are edible but in a lot of cases not as good to eat or prone to overfishing.
Kia Ora bro I only see a lot of red Moki why are they not target?
Chur bro I think it's just because they are an easy target and they just sit there or come right upto you why most sport speros don't target then but if your just looking for a feed then sweet
Kia ora! Just hopping on here to add to the previous comment :) Red moki mate for life and tend to be territorial so when you shoot a red moki, you're essentially removing the breeding pair from that area. Because of this, most spearos don't target them and just leave them to do their thing.
