Some previous models such as coupes and convertibles were carries over upon the new 2012 platform introduction. Check under the hood at the lower area of the windshield first. If the filter housing is not located there, then this video is for you.

Hi mike do u think u can help me plz i have a 2005 320d bmw with idrive but i cannot reset anything at all inputting dates just goes blank we have taken car to 4 ppl and everyone is unable to said it mite have had a changed board plz hel0
We have tried everyrhing everytine we try a reset we jus get dashes - - - - -
It may need a software update or an instrument cluster. It would need to be diagnosed properly first.
Do I need to disconnect the battery to do this because of the airbags????

You can just bring you extra key fob. If you don't have two key fobs then you will need to get one from the dealer.
