    I just listened to “Red Red Sky” tonight. I knew your mom and dad and Richard Stekol from Honk. Just a great community of musicians. Richard is got to be the best kept secret in SoCal. The Black Plums were great!

    It's strange he says he learned bass by "just playing gigs" but I know he studied bass at LAMA (LA Music Academy, now known as LACM in Pasadena, Ca) in 1998 because I was there. I used to see him carrying his bass around going to bass classes. Ed Lucy was head of the bass department and Jerry Watts taught there as well.
