Really well made vid and great song choice. Some thoughts I had. So I have a 4090 and 7700x, I use dx12 and max settings at native 4k, taa medium and msaa x2. I get about 70 fps average and mid 50s in the intensive areas. Imo you really don't need higher than 50-60 fps to enjoy this game because of how slow paced it is. So for people who have weaker gpu's, I recommend using the settings from this video but if you have fps to spare above 50, you should pick a setting or two to set to high or ultra, because some of them are really amazing like max reflection quality for example. Or the night time lighting.

@@-Venemic yeah that one is super impactfull on performance. I would pick reflection over lightning though because lightning you only really notice a difference at night time and mostly only in towns. I personally love reflection on ultra for things like puddles etc. Oh and I have to retract what I said about msaa. I've tested it extensively and ran dozens of benchmarks with lots of combinations and msaa is clearly broken in this game. You get the performance impact with almost no improvement to quality and it introduces all kinds of pop-in issues and weird visual glitches. My updated recommendation is as follows: native 4k, dx12, if you need extra frames use resolution scale X 0.900 or lower, msaa and fxaa OFF, taa medium, taa sharpness slider at about 60%, and as many settings to high or ultra as you can get away with. Try to target about 50fps in the first benchmark scene in the snow, this will ensure that you'll get close to 60 fps average in most areas in the game. I now get 95fps with my updated settings on my 4090 with everything ultra but imo you don't need more than 50-60 because of how slow this game is. And oh, dx12 is my personal preference because for some reason Vulkan looks terrible on my Oled TV, which might just be a rare issue with my setup that won't affect anyone else. Vulkan definitely performs better fps wise.
@@Reverend_Rob Yeah vulkan is far superior for me. For reference, I have a 3090 and a 7950x. I play on 1440p though, and usually use resolution scale on 1.25. I can get away with basically every single setting on ultra BUT reflections. Hell, I legit don't notice any fps gain or loss for basically any of the settings but reflections, and imo even on ultra they don't look that great. It's not as if it's raytracing i'll say that. I don't believe I noticed any difference in puddles on ultra to even medium. And yea i've tested MSAA too and it's just complete shite. I don't see a difference between it and not having an Anti Aliasing on at all, but it comes at a massive performance hit and introduces many issues.

1:26 for a second I thought John hopped on the mic
much appreciated brother, went from around 30 fps on the highest settings to constant 100
That's a massive increase! Congratulations 🎉
@@ZykopathOfficial thank you a lot couldn'tve done it without your well made video
You needed a guide to tell you to try dropping your settings? Lmao
@@Aggnog didnt want to drop the settings too low and was wondering if i could play the game at somewhat high graphics while also playing on a stable frame rate which is why i assume you're on this video as well
@@Aggnog we needed a guide to tell us what each setting does, and which settings offer the best balance of graphics and performance.
I swear to God on my RTX 3050ti 4GB Laptop GPU (65W TDP) i was getting around 40-50 FPS and after applying these setting now I'm getting around 70-80FPS ....Much Appreciated Bro!!!!
Someone really wanted to test it all and share 🙏🙏
Best channel for optimization. Thank you.... From 70-80fps to 85-108 fps
You're welcome my friend! I always try my best.
Can you make a optimization video for pubg and modern warfare 2? Thanks
@@young3165 I already have an optimization video for Warzone 2 which is the same as MW2, check it out on my channel. As for PUBG, most likely not gonna happen for various reasons.
Great work.
I usually have to play through this game a couple of times a year.
went from 50fps avg in wild to 70fps avg, nice job man appreciate it! my 4gigs rtx 3050 couldn't handle things in dense though sadly get 40fps avg on city😢
Man i played wildlands so smooth with your settings and now this.
I don't think I made a guide for Ghost Recon Wildlands.
@@ZykopathOfficial Ahh maybe some similar channel then, mybad haha
Will this work on GPU 1660 super?
Yes it will!
cant believe I'm about to reinstall this game just to test these settings. I spent days trying to get this game to run better. ill return with my findings soon.
My potato didn't do so great. My benchmark results were 69.7 on average.
@Zycopath Try this. Gives me 74.8 average FPS with a 1660 super.

@@CyberPunk-ow3gihow bro, I have 1660 ti and get less. I have to cap it at 30-50 so there aren’t stutters and so mg pc doesn’t overheat.

thanks a lot for your effort & tweaks! God bless you, dude!
Enjoy the game!
You are the goat you fixed both my gta and red dead
Glad I could help!
I got 120 from 80 fps 💀
Outstanding in depth analysis. I highly recommend anybody playing this gam uses HDR with RESHADE, the HDR in this game is truly awful and to me looks worse than SDR. With Reshade, you can get it looking so good it will blow you away
I don’t know why, but I absolutely hate the music in this game. That’s why I turned it to zero.
I know why. You're a psychopath.
W comparision, better than others, fps on each settings👌
thank you bro because of you I have increased my fps
Best detailed video i think ive seen for any help video on any game seriously thanks alot i just got a pc and want to learn all i can
Glad I could help!
Dude your settings are insane, I thought turning my settings up would make the game run worse but nope! went form 55 avg to like 105 fps 1440p using your settings, gonna set up reshade for Vulkan now thanks!
That's incredible!
Enjoy the smooth gaming experience!
@@ZykopathOfficial Hi, just one question, I have loaded reshade with vulkan, and I dragged your preset in the game directory, which filters do I turn on?
@@ZykopathOfficial Do you think you could do a video tutorial on how to set up your filter clarityfx preset?
Wish I had seen this before I spent a little over an hour going through my settings and benchmarking it.
I know the pain.
thank you so much! gave me some fps but not even close to as much as other people got. i got an increase from 45fps to like 70fps. i mean it is very much better, but its weird other people are getting a lot more fps. but still, thank you so much for giving us the optimized settings!!

Mirror quality - high; low-ultra is 5-10 FPS drop, but high generally looks the best for the FPS
