Great video! You are the best at covering the Magic on TH-cam in my opinion, and I watch them all. Keep up the good work. I am hoping they can bring in Dejounte Murray and they can win a ring here before they bail on us and join the expansion Supersonics. Lol!
I think the best possible player for the this team to trade for is Mikel Bridges if the Nets are willing to part with him. Super durable, on a bargain contract for his production, elite defender, above average 3pt shooter, can attack off the dribble and create his own shot, and is okay being the number 2 or 3 guy. If we could trade for him and acquire Nic Claxton, we would be set.
Mikal Bridges would be my #2 trade option and the player I want second most. I believe Anfernee Simons is a better fit and a better player. He is younger, scores more, is a better shooter, and is a more natural fit at point guard. My dream would be to somehow pull off a trade for both using some combination of future draft picks, of which we have many, and players like Cole Anthony, Jett Howard, and/or Caleb Houstan while trying to keep their frontline players and their two young defensive guards in Suggs and Black. Then I try to sign a player like Gary Trent, Jr. We would have 3 serious upgrades with much needed skill sets who are all still young. If we can just get one in a trade, I would go for Simons and use mostly draft picks since they are looking for cap space and then try to keep our young shooting prospects in Jett and Caleb.
You’re probably right, but I would be willing (and only for Bridges and no one else) to leverage our draft future for a few years as I’m confident we wouldn’t need those picks with him and someone like Claxton locked in for the next few seasons.
I’m all for Simons if we don’t have to give up too much to get him. I think his personality, skill set, and of course him being a hometown kid would be a great fit in Orlando. However, he’s not even close to the defender that Bridges is, is 2 inches shorter and has a much shorter wingspan (less potential on defense) and has an injury history and he’s only 25. Mikel doesn’t have as many question marks. I don’t think we need a true point guard, just players who can all distribute the ball and make plays for others as well as move without the ball. Makes the team harder to stop when there is no clear point of attack for the opposing team.
I would try to trade for Simons, who is younger and better than Monk, but sign Monk if we are unable to make that trade. I would say trade for Simons and sign Monk, but they are very similar players, maybe too much. I would try to keep this year's draft pick if possible and draft a player like C Kal'el Ware or PF Tyler Smith, or pull a slight trade up for PG Jared McCain - the Steph Curry, Donovan Mitchell of this year's draft.
I’m huge on Murray, he’s clutch, is on a super friendly contract, and can defend on a high level with good 3pt volume. My pipe dream would be to trade for Sexton 🙌🏾
Give me Murray or Simons. I agree Murrays issues with P are overblown, they are both super competitive dogs with an edge that we need to take us further. They would love to play together i guarantee it.
I disagree that we don't need a stretch 5. We need spacing around Paolo, and if we're already saying Franz and Jalen are the core 3 with Paolo, then we need shooters at both other positions. I love Claxton and do want him on the team, but we need another year of roster changes to put more shooters on the team if we're bringing in another key rotation piece (or starter) who is a non-shooter. Paolo, Franz and Jalen are putting up respectable numbers, but they're not respected shooters that defenses have to stay on. You can't have a leap in offense if you don't address that shooting, and Claxton comes with an even bigger need for more shooters.
cant imagine paying a 37yo not named lebron james 50mil can u really pay a guy 25mil to come off the bench not really a fan of aquiring veterans just yet celtics surrounded brown/tatum with kyrie/hayward and it didnt work it just takes time unfortunately and I hate hearing people say trade AB like hes been deemed a bust already just sit still for another year
Hayward was injured within 5 minutes of the season starting and was out for the season, Kyrie was also injured for the Playoffs, yet Tatum and Brown went to the conference finals.
A better coach would have had this orlando team in the nba finals. Bring old man c. Paul in for what we are paying Ingles. Start paul, houston, franz, Paolo and goga. 2nd unit-Cole, suggs, wendale, mo and Isaac. Rotational players will be black and fultz.
To start for sure. But not to run the show. He is a team player first. But as everyone knows, he decided to stay in Sacramento for a much lower contract than he warrants.
@@thebrettjames1 i just dont wanna pull another Orlando move from the past. Overpay and he is an injury prone, non show up in the playoffs player… Orlando doesnt have to be that operation anymore, we have the young core thats enticing.
Magic should have $50 million plus Declining Joe Ingles and Mo Wagner’s team options. Claxton $25 million x 4 seasons Monk $25 million x 4 seasons Re-sign Mo Wagner under the mid level exception.
Simons would be my dream add. That dude still has higher ceiling to grow into as a scorer, and scoring is easily the biggest need for the magic.
I feel the same way. Plus him being local growing up.
Haven't made a splash in a while. Let's go Orlando. Florida needs it
Great video! Just subscribed to the channel. 🙌

Much much luv🤞🏽
I'm pretty sure Paolo won't like having Murray in his team. But I think Simon is better for them

Would love this
Nets asking price would be over the top

The Magic ain't doing nothing with Johnathon Issac. He changes games with his defense.
J.I is are starting center next season
JI is average at best.
DM is my favorite option as well
I like Monk and pickup a development center from the draft.
100 percent the correct answer

A good center definitely would help orlando magic

If we get a starting PG it means either Black or Cole are on the move. Also if we resign Kelle it means one is on the move

Dj Murray would be the best choice and it ain't close.
Would you rather have Monk as a FA and draft Edey, Ware, Big man or sign Hartenstein/Claxton and draft McCain/PG
12 days later. So far running it back with an extra additiom of KCP
aaand in the end they did bare minimum as expected
PLEASE GET US DEJAUNTE!
Anfernee Simons

Anfernee simons espefially because his parents named him after Magics own Anfernee (Penny) Hardaway
DDDDDUUUUVVVVVAAAAAAAALLLL !!!!
DUUUUUUVAL
Paul George doesn’t solve a problem he creates one. Is Suggs going to play the point in this scenario or go to the bench?
If we get a starting SG it means Suggs is PG. No scenario Suggs is coming off the bench

Just a thought… wt if the magic bring Dwight Howard back for a year off the bench?? AGAIN JUST A THOUGHT
If we get tricked into getting c. Thompson then we will just have a higher paid ingles.
Love the idea of claxton and/or PG. don’t like the other options mentioned. Giving up too much.
Monk is coming to START and run the show or he will not come.
To start for sure. But not to run the show. He is a team player first. But as everyone knows, he decided to stay in Sacramento for a much lower contract than he warrants.
You lost me with PG, hes to expensive
Yea it’s a pipe dream but I like to dream a bit 😂
