      @@ChisosI can only imagine how nice a Chisos hat would be if that little birdie ever met a beaver and talked him out of some of his fur.

    As someone who has owned the #1, #2 and now the #5's, These boots have been the best built by far. They do take a long time to break in. If you have high arches you will need to be patient. Once broken in they truly are great. Need to get the King ropers ostrich in #1s

      Would you say the no.5 had tighter instep then the no.2? @@SuperStar-nz5xy

    • @Chisos
      @Chisos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The No.5 has a similar instep to the No.2. The only difference is that the No.5 has slightly less room in the toe box!

    @Chisos I think y'all have great looking boots and I'm thinking of getting my first pair, but I'm hearing a lot about the shank squeaking. Maybe when word of that disappears, I'll getting a pair.

    • @Chisos
      @Chisos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We've solved the shank squeaking problem! The only thing you'll hear is the satisfying click of the heel as you saunter through town.

     I came here to ask about Will’s hat, but I see rumor has it it’s a prototype… Here’s hoping that prototype makes it to production soon. I’ve got a couple of pairs of Chisos that would look great with it!

    How do you care for a rough out leather? Might pick up that rough put boot

    • @Chisos
      @Chisos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We do very minimal care on our roughout. Let it take on the patina of dirt and use. Brush it every once in awhile. Condition the heel stack, welt, and soles ever four months or so.

    Just bought my first ever pair of cowboy boots. My wife bought me a pair of Ariat Sport Pardner boots as a gift and I was delighted with them. They seem to be the correct size of that I have no doubt. They are currently tight across the instep but loosening off now but I do have a high instep so that’s no issue. Everything is snug but comfortable at the toe. My question is about heel slippage. These boots are only 2-3 days old at this point with maybe 2-3 hours of wear each of those days. Noticing some heel slip certainly not major but enough for me to notice and have a question about especially being a cowboy boot rookie. Is this normal for a boot fit? Does it stay? Does it subside once the boot has fully broken in? Definitely feel a size down would absolutely not fit and a size up would be too loose. Hope anyone can shed some light for me. Cheers from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 👍🏼

      A half inch of heel slip is normal when you're first breaking in Cowboy Boots! If the heel slip persists, check out a little product called a Heel Pad! It's a pad that adheres to the inner heel of the boot!
