I still have a 4pack bottle of True Blood. I had bought it to carry around as a prop when I went to a Vampire Themed party at a resort back in 2010 I never tried it so I cannot rate it. I did buy the PEEPS PEPSI last year and it was terrible, I still have 8 mini cans of it😂 ***edit: Holy TruBlood...I just looked up and saw that a 4-pack sold for $700!!! I sure could use some money, glad I held on to it.
Yeah the former CEO called it a “kamikaze attack” because tab was a failing product and crystal Pepsi was such a success it took over 1 percent total of all sodas sold, so they killed Pepsis great product with their failing product. Said they made it so bad on purpose no one in their right mind who hadn’t tried it yet would try crystal Pepsi
Yeah pretty much. The former CEO of Coke called it a “kamikaze attack” because tab was already a commercial failure, while crystal pepsi was a massive success. They made tab clear as bad as possible and then marketed it as cokes version of crystal Pepsi, so no one would even think of trying crystal Pepsi.
I'm kinda surprised that Pepsi Fire wasn't mentioned. It was one of those drinks where cinnamon does not need to be in a soda. It tasted okay when drinking it, but the aftertaste was just flat out nasty.
I totally agree with all 20 failed drinks on this list 100%, all 20 of these drinks should be left and stay dead and never to be brought back to any store shelves.
I think OK Soda was only test marketed and never got a commercial release, but one thing I could never forget is that one of its taglines was something along the lines of, “What’s the point of OK? Well, what’s the point of anything?“ That has to be one of the most depressing things I have ever heard.
Weird, I find that idea liberating. Nothing matters, so enjoy your life. No one is better than anyone else. Nothing anyone does matters. We are all dust in the end.
The ready to drink coffee has made a comeback tho. With those you like cold or even frozen coffees this is the best way. I make a frappe every day and use coffee concentrate to do it.
I remember when I worked at Blockbuster, we got a drink called Coke Black, which was basically coke mixed with coffee. We had it for about a year and only sold 3. We didn't restock the shelves once during the entire time before it was discontinued.
Michael Newman: I mean no disrespect, Prince Hubbida Hubbida. Ammer: Hubba Bubba. Prince Habeeboo: Habeeboo! Ha-bee-boo! Hubba Bubba is chewing gum. Prince Habeeboo is not chewing gum.
If you would like to try a coffee flavored soda, you should try Manhattan Special. It's an Espresso flavored soda that's been around for a hundred years. You can always find bottles for sale in deli's in Italian neighborhoods.
Ugh, that stuff was bad lol it looked awesome! Especially if you found the Blue Citrus or Thermal Bite Green and the spiraling crystals inside. But, with the advent of the caffeinated booze, suddenly young people didn't dig the novelty of Aftershock and it went kaput
I still loved Pepsi Blue. Although I honestly think that's what they ended up turning Mountain Dew Baja Blast into world. As the tasty silver similar in my opinion.
I remember reading a review for the Jones Soda Thanksgiving pack that said the potato one tasted like “Mashed Potatoes with a Side of Dirty Ass.” I don’t think they were meant to be consumed
Going back to caffeinated alcoholic beverages, I’ve seen packages of Monster Beast alcoholic drinks at my local Tops store. If the Budweiser drink was bad enough, I can’t imagine what these drinks would be like.
I remember trying Pepsi Blue when it was first launched. I found the taste to be horrible and my mother and sister shared my opinion when they tasted it.
New Coke is better than Coke Classic, they should bring it back with another name so we can all have our preferred cola. The summer where stranger things brought back new Coke is one of my greatest recent memories.
Diet Pepsi Jazz was pretty tasty in my opinion. I liked the Black Cherry French Vanilla, was similar to Cherry Vanilla Coke to me. LOVED Pepsi Blue, had a near unlimited supply from a friend who worked at PepsiCo. Vault was something I drank on those nights where I got off work, wanted to stay up all night watching Blind Date and Cheaters with my roommate. It was something that I loved. Dr Pepper 10 was basically Diet Dr Pepper with a little sugar. Wasn't bad tasting, I just remember that Dr Pepper 10 and Coke Zero were marketed as less faminine as other diet products. Crystal Pepsi is a slightly sweeter Pepsi, the lack of caramel coloring which makes soda have a slightly bitter flavor means a sweeter cola. Hubba Bubba was something I had twice. Once cause I thought it was interesting leading me to try it a second time only to give it up. Dr Pepper Red Fusion I had, but I don't remember it much other than tasting more like "Big Red", like a red cream soda. New Coke came out when I was a kid, I liked it, cause I liked Pepsi. But one side of my family was pissed and did not like it, and wanted the original spicy cola. I also loved AFTERSHOCK. Was great for 20 somethings partying on the slopes. I STILL have 4 bottles of TRU BLOOD. I never drank it. It's a collector item for sure. Got it as a gift. I also really enjoyed Coca Cola Blak, it was coffee and coke, and BOY WAS IT AN UPPER! I loved it.
Cocaine was "big" when I was in my first couple years of college. It had a bite worse than McDonald's Sprite, a mild cranberry flavor, and about the same kick as a dark roast brewed with Red Bull. I f*cking LOVED them.
Despite the video title, not many of them seem to be genuinely disgusting, just cases of badly targeted advertising, miscalculated expectations, or indifferent response.
Pepsi blue and crystal pepsi, imo, were solid and i was surprised they went away so quickly. But vault and surge got me through high school....well, those and Adderall 😅
Pepsi blue was absolutely amazing when I was a kid. Would love it if they brought it back just to see if nostalgia is why I think so now. And Tru blood was absolutely amazing. Not super carbonated and the perfect light orange taste. I want that to come back as a stand alone without the branding. I would seriously buy one almost everyday
In the Netherlands we used to have a supermarket housebrand named oké (ok) it could be found in a few different of supermarkets. You also had soda named oké and it was pretty ok XD not bad A brands are better (in general there is one that sticks out though, but it's not oké soda) anyway they changed the branding to g'woon or gewoon meaning usual or normal. Thought I'd share.
As part of the "minority", I LOVED Pepsi Jazz! Specially, the caramel and strawberry flavored ones. There wasn't anything wrong about the "smell". The blogger you mentioned, probably had his, or her, head WAY UP his/her ass! Sad day for me, when they stopped making them.
I had aftershock cherry. The next day my toothpaste tasted like aftershock, tap water tasted like aftershock, Copenhagen tasted like aftershock, and a big mac tasted like aftershock
I’m disappointed in you…no Zima? It’s probably had the most ridiculous ad campaign ever done for a beverage. And from what I’ve heard (never drank it myself, FYI), it wasn’t exactly the nectar of the gods, either.
Ok, but Cacaine was delicious 😂 Although the first time I tried it, I drank 3 and had a meltdown in Walmart. My friends wouldn't let me have any more after that.

You failed on New Coke being released in the 1880s 7:44

Oh man i totally forgot about vault soda. I was hooked on it when it came out. I loved the commercials especially. They were so good
Pepsi Blue was criminally underrated. I can still taste it, the perfect drink combo with 20 nuggets for this 12 year old in summer school lol
Tell em!
Pepsi blue was great!
What did it taste like?
Pepsi Blue was fucking garbage, keep smoking the rock bud

Maxwell House was just ahead of the times. Just look on any shelf and you'll see plenty of ready made coffee to drink.
Right
Holy shit that "TaB Clear" move was one hell of a power play on Coke's part.
So, Tab Clear was Coke's way of saying to Crystal Pepsi, "If I go down, I'm taking you with me."

Lol good marketing for a depressed younger audience really
I heard Emo's bought a heap lol
No it was released cause I remember having it
Weird, I find that idea liberating. Nothing matters, so enjoy your life. No one is better than anyone else. Nothing anyone does matters. We are all dust in the end.
You mean you didn’t love the genius marketing strategy of saying “Shut up and drink this soda you depressed twat!”

Apparently, Big Red is supposed to be bubble gum flavored.
I remember enjoying Pepsi Blue as a child. But when I had it again a few years back, I thought it was disgusting from how overly sweet it is.
I loved it too. It reminded me of when you would mix every slurpee flavor together, but in soda form.
That’s because your tongue becomes more sensitive to sugar as you get older. That’s why kids can eat a lot of sweets and not get sick of it.
@@DragonKazooie89 That make sense.
When i bought Pepsi Blue I was thinking it just like back then.
I was DUPED! 😫
I still loved it wish they'd do it again.
The ready to drink coffee has made a comeback tho. With those you like cold or even frozen coffees this is the best way. I make a frappe every day and use coffee concentrate to do it.
Now way, man! Pepsi Blue was awesome! Vault was pretty good too. It kinda filled the void when Surge disappeared, lol.
I remember when I worked at Blockbuster, we got a drink called Coke Black, which was basically coke mixed with coffee. We had it for about a year and only sold 3. We didn't restock the shelves once during the entire time before it was discontinued.
They tried that again a few years ago with coke and coffee but as an energy drink. The dark roast and vanilla were pretty good
I personally like the vanilla one but overall it’s pretty good.
I used to love Coke Black!!! Didn’t know anyone else that liked it, though. Haha
Michael Newman: I mean no disrespect, Prince Hubbida Hubbida.
Ammer: Hubba Bubba.
Prince Habeeboo: Habeeboo! Ha-bee-boo! Hubba Bubba is chewing gum. Prince Habeeboo is not chewing gum.
The boys let down Dr Pepper 10, give us another shot! Lol
I loved Dr Pepper 10.
Yeah I actually liked Dr Pepper 10
I love Dr Pepper 10 it’s definitely better than diet Dr Pepper
Funnily Tab Clear was meant to fail just to kill Crystal Pepsi, brilliant
If you would like to try a coffee flavored soda, you should try Manhattan Special. It's an Espresso flavored soda that's been around for a hundred years. You can always find bottles for sale in deli's in Italian neighborhoods.

0:49 I've had ok soda. It was okay. I kinda liked it. I miss it. 1:15
I was excited to hear Joan's cane suger soda made it on the list
Fun fact Kyle Gass from tenacious D was the pizza guy for the 7 Up Gold commercial
I'm shocked Orbitz wasn't on this list.

Sounds like cold brew coffee, but with an extra heating step. Which I suspect one could easily do with cold brew.
Ahead of its time, I suppose?
I loved Tru blood. Yes it was pricey for only 4 bottles. But it was actually pretty tasty. Kinda wish they would bring it back.
I liked it too. I also thought Pepsi Blue and Vault were pretty killer. Did you ever drink Surge? That shit would make ya feel different, lol.
You guys remember when there was a lunchable that came with a little soda? I miss that stuff. It wasn’t good but nostalgia, you know?
PepsiBlue and RedFusion were so awesome during their short run...
RIP vault, you were my first soda I fell in love with.
The cinnamon Aftershock was so fun to drink, alongside the rock candy on the inside of the bottle.

Love the snl dunkin shots
I’m surprised 4 Loko wasn’t on this list.
Pepsi Blue ... I always remember my brother's spot on review of it. "It tastes like headache."
I actually loved Dr Pepper Red Fusion 😅

It was so good
I was SO sure #1 would be that scourge of many a teen party back in the day, Zima!
I loved Vault and Red Fusion. Vault fueled a lot of late night video game sessions. Along with Surge
Vault use to be $1 for two 16 Oz drink where I lived. Miss that drink !
I remember reading a review for the Jones Soda Thanksgiving pack that said the potato one tasted like “Mashed Potatoes with a Side of Dirty Ass.”

Tru Blood was actaully pretty good
*Ahhhh. Cocaine.....Tyrone Biggums' favorite drink. He was so sad it was discontinued.*
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I have never heard of the drink brand that took the first spot until today. 🤣
Hey, Aftershock was a classic! 😅
Love your lists!😊😊😊
Going back to caffeinated alcoholic beverages, I’ve seen packages of Monster Beast alcoholic drinks at my local Tops store. If the Budweiser drink was bad enough, I can’t imagine what these drinks would be like.
Its not good but its not bad for malt liquor
Imagine if somebody accidentally drank the True Blood merchandise prop beverage
Vault was Godsend.. especially red blitz...Dr pepper red fusion..😵...
Tru blood was unusual...
I paid that hefty price for TruBlood. It was delicious lol. Ridiculous, but so good. I still have one of the bottles on my shelf.
I remember trying Pepsi Blue when it was first launched. I found the taste to be horrible and my mother and sister shared my opinion when they tasted it.

I hate the hate for instant coffee. It’s a different product to normal coffee, but it’s still nice

7 Up Gold was good, it was like ginger ale with caffeine.
I loved Vault!
