I have kids and I wouldnt recommend they major in any business stuff EXCEPT accounting and if some more research is done actuary. The rest...nah! How things work can be learn online for free, we are not a rich family, we have no connections with powers that be. So selecting a major is quite a thoughtful exercise for us. I went with engineering and that was the best decision of my life.
Engineering is also a great major! I think Business is more reasonable for the general population than Engineering since that's such a unique skill set. Not sure what being from a rich family has to do with it though, you can major in business in more affordable college options as well, whether online or through community colleges.
