My dad once grew a stevia plant from his garden and took a very small piece of it off for me to try, the sweetness was indeed intense. It kind of looks like the marijuana plant. Since then I’ve used the liquid and green powder forms to use as a substitute sweetener. It’s crazy to think it could help with Lyme disease as that’s a very horrible thing to have. It just goes to show that nature provides so many answers for healing the body and thank you for this extraordinary and interesting fact about it. Just incredible🌱
@@aemyay5169 I’m sorry to hear that. For other sweeteners, I also use organic maple syrup that’s kept refrigerated, monk fruit, honey, or even dried dates.
I love natural sweeteners, besides sugar, so much, I almost find the term "substitute sweetener" offense. Sugar should not be considered the standard sweetener.
Dr. Berg, you have helped me so much! I was diagnosed with a fatty liver in 2018 and I had a Phibro scan done and an ultrasound. My liver was mostly fat. I followed a healthy diet with a lot of things you recommend. I took milk thistle, dandelion root, vitamin e, phospholipids,Not to mention all of the other herbs and supplements that you recommend. In addition to exercise and weight loss I lost the fat in my liver. I had a liver biopsy and there is no fat detected and no fibrosis. I can’t thank you enough! It can be done within a year I accomplished reversing a fatty liver!

I think my 93 year old friend has this happening to him now. He’s in a nursing home and everyone knows how hard it is once you’re in a place like this. You don’t really have a choice what you eat or take as far as medicine and supplements. But he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease a few years ago and has had trouble with his legs on and off since then. They put him on the antibiotic then and it did help, but they don’t believe (or I think care) if he still has it which I think he does. The test is expensive and they refuse to test him again, I think it’s because of his age. I’ll try and suggest stevia to him. Maybe it can help in some way.
Two products I have used over the years are Biocidin by Bio-Botanical Research and Cocktail by BioPure. Cocktail was formulated by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt and looking at the ingredients it contains Stevia Leaf extract.
Thank you for looking out for him. Everything you said about nursing homes is true. I lost my dear husband two years ago. He had dementia and had to place him in a memory care center when I could no longer keep him safe. He would wander and it's impossible to watch someone 24 hours a day. Anyway I went every single morning to take him out of the home. Then I stayed with him until he fell asleep. Memory care centers are an improvement over traditional nursing homes but even so the residents need someone to advocate for them. As his wife, they had to defer to me so we were fortunate in that and I monitored everything while he remained there. Give your friend a hug for me. You are a wonderful person to care. All the best to you and yours.
I will test this out and see! I have had Lyme since I was 9, but didn’t get sick until I was 20. Waiting for the cure, and still fighting the bacteria for 12 years, and every little bit helps! Thank you
Very interesting finding, used to grow stevia all the time on my farm. But recently have been on antibiotics for almost a year trying to fight three parasites that came from a tick bite. It laid dormant in my body for almost 4 years and then came out with a vengeance on to my optic nerve. It's been a very long process and I thank God for my naturopathic doctor as well as my immunologist. Wish I could talk to you also
Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni(scientific name) growes naturally maonly in my country Paraguay.. Named + classified by fellow cozntryman.. Stevia or Ka"a he"é as we call it in our native indian language is also good for diabetes. Tea from the whole leaf seriously lowers blood sugar.
Ellen, I understand it was used for birth control in native parts of your country. Do you know much about that? Is modern usage of stevia a concern for fertility?
I have an autoimmune condition and my naturopath tested me and said I have chronic Lyme. Lyme likes to hide when you treat it, smart bug. I use stevia too when I notice symptoms coming back I work up to 10 drops a couple times a day in herbal tea. It calms down and after a couple weeks I stop. It can be months but I do it again if I notice symptoms and it always works so far.
This video is a godsend for me. I'm a farmer in New England and generally grow stevia. My partner and I will 100% get Lyme within our lifetimes as we don't use DEET and are outside very often. The only natural tick repellent I've found to work is eucalyptus oil.
Yes!! It does... 😁 I love your videos So much! Lyme is horrible. Co infections worse. I remember you have personal experience. I'm so glad to see you happy and healthy! Inspiring! 🤗
I learned about this a few years ago and indeed noticed a difference… More so when I started taking Japanese knotweed tincture and others from Tria Alchemy… Cats claw is supposed to be great for Lyme as well 👍🏼
Wow... Japanese knotweed -- great to know, and it's every where here, wild, outta control. It was originally brought into the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx and the birds started eating it and as they flew over the surrounding neighborhoods and area they pooped and the Japanese knotweed started growing everywhere. It always amazes how Nature always provides. Blessings
This is wonderful news. I told my sister of stevia as an alternative and she's now growing one in her garden. Someone we know was bitten by a tick while visiting an Indian reservation in Canada. Her doctors treated her for depression. Seemingly not much is known about the condition from ticks back then here in the UK. She self diagnosed herself after some extensive research. Doctors didn't believe her. Eventually she's had enough and sadly took her own life.
thank you, dr berg. it really helped me. i used to drink stevia in my coffee but finally had the proper results when i switched over to stevia as a substitute for sugar. and it also lessens my migraines massively.
This is exciting to hear. My brother has suffered with Lyme for decades. He doesn't like artificial sweeteners but this just might change his mind about Stevia. Thanks!

What an amazing coincidence! My cat gets ticks all the time and I have been using Stevia for a few years. The ticks in our area actually carry a rare virus known as the Powassan Virus. I wonder if Stevia is any good at defending against other pathogens?
I'm affected by chronic lyme disease and stevia can help but you should combine it with antibiotics to increase the efficiency of the treatment in order to kill the bacteria as well as persisterforms + biofilms.
Thank you again, Dr. Berg. Would you like a good laugh? Or maybe you're already aware of these kinds of things being spoken against naturepaths. I worked in all the different medical specialties, some years ago. I was never a pill popper. (That was never my thing.) Especially because of all the contraindications. I took only a few vitamins & natural food supplements. I hated all the remarks I heard, spoken against practioners who practiced natural medicine. They gave them a bad rap, calling them quacks & everything imaginable. But, It's not their fault. They don't know any better. They were never taught. (I almost became a detail person, only because it paid better.) I just got tired of being disrespected & getting paid peanuts! You guys are brilliant, light years ahead of traditional medicine. You guys truly care about people. I give honor where honor is due.
It is their fault if they as grown adults intentionally refuse information and remain ignorant when they could be helping people as they are actually paid to do. It's their ego and their human greed that causes it.
I had a Twitter friend who had Lyme disease and visited a naturopath who had her take Stevia. She said it has to be fresh leaves and not powdered stevia and it healed her up.
A study out of India that was done about 15 years ago and suppressed for 8 years or more said specifically a common store bought liquid stevia drops proved more effective than antibiotics at killing the Lyme's, including the biofilm form. They believed it was because the Stevia opened up the cells to feed and basically tricked them into taking in the stevia which also has antifungal and antimicrobial/antibacterial properties. I do not know which brand. Thank you for sharing your insight as well.
This is true about stevia. I've known this for about 5yrs now. I'm very familiar with this Lyme disease and it's co infections. Lyme never goes away, as you said it goes dormant in you body and hides under biofilms very hard to detect sometimes. I found that the stevia with doxycyline works well together. The stevia seems to draw it out from hiding and the doxycyline destroys the spirochettes. This Lyme disease can be extremely debilitating for some people...... aka.....The great imitator!
How much stevia pure leaf powder is needed per kg of weight and how long do you need to take it? Pulled a tick off my neck on the weekend. It likely was only on for a day or two. Pulled one off my dog same day. His was engorged. So that's another question- can stevia leaf powder be used for dogs? If so, how much per kg and for how long?
I’m so glad to see this. We didn’t have any ticks in Northern NY until 15 years ago . No it’s infested with them. Everyone knows someone who caught Lyme disease around here. I’m going to look into adding this to my supplements as so few people who have it ever knew a tick had bitten them .
Northern PA became the same way about 10 years ago. You could not walk across the yard without a lot of tiny ticks getting on you. It never used to be that way. I am convinced they released them.
Good item, which is nothing new for the channel but generally IS for a topic on lyme disease. Good point that this is not a human study yet - many remedies, natural or not, have shown some effect against Borrelia, but do little in vivo. The biofilm aspect of the way stevia seems to work is promising though. Compromised immunity being a risk factor - it's logical, but I hear this only very seldom after deducing it myself (and becoming aware of the root causes). Relapse of the illness after antibiotics - another great point, I've seen it happen as a rule almost for people in our community that have had the misforune of suffering of lyme disease for a longer time. I have been living the post Lyme life for the last 8 years now. Please be aware that if you don't have a bull's eye mark after a tick bite, this doesn't mean you don't have the disease. Also be aware of the risk a tick bite holds for so-called co-infections like babesia, ricketsia, bartonella etc. It's a dangerous critter.
I grew up in NH and spent my childhood in the woods . I never ran across any ticks. After they released the Lyme ticks from a secret military lab on Plum Island,?our woods have become infested with Lyme ticks. I get it every year with new bites. I have gotten 50 ticks on me after one 20 minute walk on an old loggers road in the woods.

I cured my Lyme Disease in 2018 with Tincture of Stevia. I broke the Biofilms first with high doses of Oil of Oregano and Neem. If the Biofilms are broken up, Antibiotics and other natural remedies work rapidly. If the Lyme Disease is undiagnosed, as mine was for over 5 years, the Biofilms are very thick, and nothing can get through to the Lyme Spirochetes. Ivermectin is effective against Lyme, but I didn't know that in 2018. Lyme is manmade. It was created on the Biolab on Plumb Island off Lyme, Connecticut.
When patients find themselves concerned about memory and cognition, we find they are often taking stevia; we remove the stevia and within 90 days their cognition improves significantly. There are many other products and treatments to use towards Lyme, as you mentioned.
interesting. I just read a comment from another one of dr bergs stevia videos, it was from a chess player that noticed improved cognition when they would run out of stevia and switch to sugar. They were wondering if it was the sugar improving cognition or the lack of stevia...

Thank you for talking about tickborne illness and for your videos. I wanted to mention, to those who read this: if you get a bull's eye rash, I would assume that you have been infected with Lyme and/or a few infections or more. It's best to treat right away with herbs (high-quality)--work with an herbalist who uses Classical Chinese Pearls or you could try Buhner's protocol with some help (it's harsh). The Nutramedix Protocol might help. I used bee venom therapy. Make no mistake, don't wait to treat. Many have had infections for years before they know, so it you get a bite, assume you are positive. Even the worst M.D.s and medical practitioners assume you have Lyme with that rash. I've lost a lot of my life to this crap. This doesn't fully matter, but It actually is just "Lyme" disease. It isn't that important that it's pronounced right, but it's nice to hear it called by its proper name all the time, if we are going to use that name. I'm not the most fond of it, because it fails to capture the multi-infectious potential that comes with tick bites. Thanks again. This might seem like a critique but it's not. I just wanted to give input as a patient. I appreciate your videos, Dr. Berg. Been watching them for days.

The key is the biofilms and the body then being able to see what is there and then the immune system can deal with it, "easy does it" when disrupting the biofilms or "ocean floor", work on nourishing diet, sleep, lymphatics before killing anything, binders during this time will be a good idea too---bc there many things that will die off not just lyme--herbs and antibiotics are multi spectrum --people w/ Lyme usually have a spectrum of infections and imbalances--anyone suffering--quality sleep, wahls protocol, Dr Jess md, tons of trial and error, ozone therapy (gas in ears, IV), walking/light yoga, meditation, having fun, cellcore sciences helped heal me from Lyme, brain injury and autoimmunity
I have found broccoli sprout powder combined with OSHA tincture drops indescribable for pain problems. It removes Lymme biofilm so the immune system can see it and not take out you or one of your Mylin sheath by accident! Recently I’ve learned that Oregano essential oil and clove e. oil and peppermint e. oil helps you regain the fight.
@@ThisIsEmilyKate "Binders" are like chelators and remove toxins. When biofilms are broken down and pathogens are destroyed, the die-off products produce severe inflammation. Sometimes called a "healing crisis" and can include fever, nausea, etc. It can be dangerous in a serious lyme infection. This is why patients often feel ill after a dose of any effective remedy (oregano oil quickly does it for me). Most good protocols include 'blood purifiers' to bind to die-off toxins and get them out: cat's claw, red root, burdock root are some. Good in tincture or herbal decoction.
Would love to know more about dosage and any side effects of using Stevia to treat Lyme's, since I've had chronic Lyme's since 1985 and many more reinfections, since my profession as a gardener exposes me to many tick bites...regardless of any insect repellants that I use. I've had the usual three week courses of Doxy after being bitten, but since my initial infection with Lyme's wasn't diagnosed until 1989, it became a chronic condition going into the future. Had the Lymerix vaccines in 2000, which prevented me from getting reinfected for six years, but was unable to get more boosters because the company removed it for human use after people who never had Lyme's complained that the shots gave them symptoms. I'd love to be rid of the chronic muscle pain, brain fog, fatigue and depression before I die of old age.
Dr Eva Sapi's research has been online for several years. I used it to stop Lyme disease in myself (not sanctioned by Dr. Sapi or the Lyme Disease research unit) but the damage may never heal... but I do seem to be getting better slowly. All of the symptoms you mentioned and more. I used raw dried Stevia leaves in my coffee press with my daily coffee for 3+ years. The research shows that Doxycycline is very ineffective and that Stevia is almost completely effective at killing the Lyme/Borrelia Burgdorferi infection. BTW it's LYME DISEASE not "Lyme's"... named after Lyme, Connecticut where it was first discovered in this country decades ago. It was well known in Europe before it was discovered in Lyme, CT.

Very interesting finding, used to grow stevia all the time on my farm. But recently have been on antibiotics for almost a year trying to fight three parasites that came from a tick bite.

Wow... Japanese knotweed -- great to know, and it's every where here, wild, outta control. Did stevia help?
This is wonderful news. I told my sister of stevia as an alternative and she's now growing one in her garden. Someone we know was bitten by a tick while visiting an Indian reservation in Canada. Her doctors treated her for depression. Seemingly not much is known about the condition from ticks back then here in the UK. She self diagnosed herself after some extensive research. Doctors didn't believe her. Eventually she's had enough and sadly took her own life.
Maybe stevia could possibly also be effective against a chest infection from COVID

(I almost became a detail person, only because it paid better.)
I just got tired of being disrespected & getting paid peanuts!
Thank you! This is such a good report! I love your work and research which benefits so many people.

This Lyme disease can be extremely debilitating for some people...... aka.....The great imitator!
it's all in the Stevia as this research clearly showed that Doxycycline has very low effectiveness.

I just shared to my daughter. I hope this helps her
Good item, which is nothing new for the channel but generally IS for a topic on lyme disease.
My naturopath had me on stevia (among other things) for Lyme in 2015.

I would not go to allopath for Lyme...I have used Buhner and other herbs as well as fasting...

Whatvto use to disrupt biofilms?

So many protocols, but Dr. Buhner's and definitely a Biomat got me out of the Lyme tunnel! Took a long time and research but got there! Best to you 💖

It would draw out & concentrate all the compounds in the plant & you'll know all the ingredients b/c you made it yourself. I use the stevia drops from the store sometimes, but I don't feel good about it b/c they never fail to put un-needed/un-wanted stuff in everything that's shelf-stable. ✌️
You have to get the suppository form; otherwise, you can apply the leaves manually.

You realize some folks will do this.
@@lizryan6289 It’s the best way. You’ll get all the sweetness you desire without the bitter aftertaste.
