Well when your family is living together but have no privacy if the kids are grown up and married, how is that any good? Home ownership is off the charts this generation so it's worthwhile to look at all the options, as well as affording to live on your own isn't always possible unless you have a job that earns you 3-5 times more than the minimum wage. Why I say 3x or more, is because of income taxes depending on where you live. The more money you make the more is taxed, hence 'less' given in return for your own spending. Here in Canada, they imposed a 50% taxation if you go over the 40 hour per week limit, which hampers people wishing to earn more, and forces companies to hire more people in general. But this ends up causing a opposite effect, they hire less, and rotate people more or make them work more days for less hours. The only choice is to aim for higher wage tiers, but that comes with it's own category of taxation, as well as responsibilities and hardship depending on the job category.
The alternative to budgeting through all this, is lowering expenses, which could be stressful if you aren't used to it, to squeeze out the efficiency of your dollar per month when you live on your own.

Thinking ahead into the future for grandparent is a great idea, HOWEVER you will have to redesign 2 things for them. 1 the bed will need to be lowered as elderly people should not be climbing stairs like that to get into bed and nightstands need to be placed on each side of the bed for grandma AND grandpa. 2 the shower will need to be checked for or changed to a zero threshold entry for elderly people who shuffle their feet later in life and cannot lift their feet over a raised threshold of a shower stall.
Fantastic idea I thought of doing this with family members and tiny homes on a property I would buy. I wish the government would allow others to do this without a problem.
Such an amazing father…Hats off to you sir! Beautiful loving family & beautiful tiny homes!!! 🤍 Thank you for spawning an idea to do for my daughter when it comes time. 🥹
Hi, that is a very large SFH lot ( see overhead view at 4:35 ) , must be at least 120 feet wide since the 2 containers are 40 feet each. Probably needed a crane to drop those into the backyard too. Good idea ! but most people won't have that much spare land in the city. Probably might be able to get 1 container in their backyard if the city allows it.
That is really a good place to live ! Dad you had a great idea . You r a good dad to have given those to your kids . I would not mind living in one so nice.myself !
The idea that the girls could use them. I guess one moved out so then he can rent it out. If they need to use it for their parents in the future. That will give them both more privacy, plus the parents are close if need be. This is all cool.
I’ve seen people stack 4-6 of these for a house. Welded together. That’s a great idea behind your house for xtra income in retirement. The plumbing would be the hardest part for me. I could build/finish myself.
He could Air BNB those and make the $70,000 each back and plus some. The price is a little steep but with the ways they are used for the convenience for family needs and the ways they can bring money, I feel they are worth it.
Pretty cool what Dad did here with the containers to provide space for both daughters and now one is a rental unit for one of their friends. So now he's getting a bit of a return on his iniitial investment. If I had the money, I could totally see building a tiny home for my oldest son as his first home.
Yes living in such a sunny climes as that, if it were me I'd use the centre space as a drying area for my clothes, as nothing beats drying in the sun with fresh air around them.
@@persebra Ah but wet grass in itself has a sweet smell and far better than congested traffic spewing out funes of both petrol and diesel - unless that is everyone drives electric vehicles which I find impossible to think of.
In most areas of the US this wouldn't meet zoning codes. It's unfortunate, because I do love the idea. I see some work being done to push towns to be more accepting of 'Accessory Dwelling Units' which I think, if done correctly, could increase property values and help people 'age in place'.
Your kids look happy, lucky girls. However for 70k (fully furnished) that's expensive, it would be less expensive to buy a 2 story barn (storage shed with loft), those can be converted into full spacious tiny homes for much less.

@A H no, LOL, I'm often gone for months for work I don't need 3 bedrooms, and they can take care of things here and save for whatever they want in the future. Later I'll have extra income. It's a win/win.
One day the teens won’t be teens and it’s an awesome income space, or room for them to live as young adults.
Love it
Must be nice having everything given to you
Exactly. I don’t understand the people in these comments saying the dad is loving. The dad is indulgent and the girls probably think they’re just gonna have everything handed to them. Since when did spending $140,000 on your kids become acceptable. That’s a college education, something lots of people can’t afford.
I wish we had it but didn't. You grow up fast. No hate.
This is so smart !!! Seriously, and the thing is they don’t even have to move or look for a house there dad gave them one right at home where they belong !! Love this
Thinking ahead into the future for grandparent is a great idea, HOWEVER you will have to redesign 2 things for them.
That boy and his sweet fur baby💖💖💖💖🐾🐾🐾🐾🐶🐶🐶👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽God bless them.
Fantastic idea
I thought of doing this with family members and tiny homes on a property I would buy. I wish the government would allow others to do this without a problem.
I would love that now a days. Rich ppl have it so easy
Lucky 🍀 kids y’all are bless as a mug
Such an amazing father…Hats off to you sir!
Beautiful loving family & beautiful tiny homes!!! 🤍
Thank you for spawning an idea to do for my daughter when it comes time. 🥹
What a great idea and great plan for the future. So awesome. Congratulations, you're thinking ahead of the curve.
The kids are making it a success. What a story.
70,000$/each ? Madness
Was that price fully furnished ?
Hi, that is a very large SFH lot ( see overhead view at 4:35 ) , must be at least 120 feet wide since the 2 containers are 40 feet each. Probably needed a crane to drop those into the backyard too. Good idea ! but most people won't have that much spare land in the city. Probably might be able to get 1 container in their backyard if the city allows it.
The kids have a very cool dad.
AWWWW the dad seems like such a sweet guy! his daughters are lucky
Nice parents to create such lovely tiny homes for the kids! : )
Love it. It's great to have a dad that really cares blessings upon you
Must be nice to have such loving mom and dad
Nice container homes. I'm all about this idea! Plan on doing something similar with my 2 soon to be college kids!
Thumbs to the great idea.🥰
I’ve seen people stack 4-6 of these for a house. Welded together. That’s a great idea behind your house for xtra income in retirement. The plumbing would be the hardest part for me. I could build/finish myself.
He could Air BNB those and make the $70,000 each back and plus some. The price is a little steep but with the ways they are used for the convenience for family needs and the ways they can bring money, I feel they are worth it.
I lived in Henderson years ago. Back in Michigan but miss it sometimes.
Hello Purple, hope you don't mind us being friends okay 🌹
Pretty cool what Dad did here with the containers to provide space for both daughters and now one is a rental unit for one of their friends. So now he's getting a bit of a return on his iniitial investment. If I had the money, I could totally see building a tiny home for my oldest son as his first home.
Yes living in such a sunny climes as that, if it were me I'd use the centre space as a drying area for my clothes, as nothing beats drying in the sun with fresh air around them.
yeah, nothing better than your clothes smelling like wet grass.
@@persebra Ah but wet grass in itself has a sweet smell and far better than congested traffic spewing out funes of both petrol and diesel - unless that is everyone drives electric vehicles which I find impossible to think of.
My parents built me a tiny home on top of our double garage and it's been amazing having my own space and being close to my parents
What a lovely daughter saying she likes being with her dad
In most areas of the US this wouldn't meet zoning codes. It's unfortunate, because I do love the idea. I see some work being done to push towns to be more accepting of 'Accessory Dwelling Units' which I think, if done correctly, could increase property values and help people 'age in place'.
Hello Janet, hope you don't mind us being friends okay 🌹
Very interesting dynamic. Teaching independence in your own back yard.
Your kids look happy, lucky girls. However for 70k (fully furnished) that's expensive, it would be less expensive to buy a 2 story barn (storage shed with loft), those can be converted into full spacious tiny homes for much less.
The father spend in total $140k for the two, I could have been way better in my opinion to buy a proper full sized house for them
@@akki99995 Agree 💯.
One problem I see is the width of the hallways and the ability for elderly parents with wheelchairs or walkers being able to fit
Great way to give your older children there own space yet keep them close!
Kinda' ghetto tho, no?
It's so beautiful, affordable, unique and very simply gorgeous with no much different from brick House. Though it can be temporal but so lovely better than having none. 😊 Nice job done. Love the cute interior Decorations
If you have a big backyard, container homes are a great option !
Thanks for showing us your place.
This is what love is right here, a blended family, who is thoughtful, caring, loving. Wow sometimes I wish I had a loving family, my whole family are ex cons who brag about nothing… ie clothes, cash, etc. I was homeless in 2014-2016 they had nothing but horrible things to say no support, no kindness, no love etc awful awful family. Mother is the worst person ever.
What a lovely pair! The girls and containers aren’t bad either
finally a tiny house with a realistic (and realistically filled) wardrobe/closet LOL
We did something similar to my house. We had a long garage that we converted half of it into a little tiny home. It just doesn't have plumbing connected to it though sadly but it's still a nice place and it even has a walk in closet. I want to move out there but my grandma has dibs on it.
Great idea, and loving the NWA poster.
Dad is blessed with two beautiful angels
I live in Vegas tell this guy to let me know when you put his place up for sale this is exactly what we’re looking for lol
NWA, The Weekend, and J. Cole posters.....that young lady has impeccable taste in music :-)
wow wish I had their building codes. We tried to put two in our huge yard one for myself for an art studio and one for my husbands work shop we were not even going to put bathrooms in them and we were not allowed to even have one.
