They run perfectly with a sharp chain. You really need to buy or borrow a pressure pump so you can vacuum test and pressure test the saw. You really should not try and skip that step if you want a reliable saw, its as good as a warranty along with using fresh pure no corn gas with only the best oil at the right ratio. The kit only contains the powerhead. You can buy your chain and bar where ever you want.
